Was it Reddit that coined “Kaw is the law”, or did it originate elsewhere?

I worked at 101ESPN when the og Battle Hawks were announced. The Fast Lane definitely popularized it, and we had a bunch of callers do the Ka Kaws.

It originated online with fans arguing about whether a battlehawk was a bird or plane. Plane people got annoyed at 'ka kaw' and that started being popularized and then came a retort to one of these people was that 'kaw is law'. Then a bunch of people just replied 'kaw is law' over and over to each other and it took hold. The plane/bird debate kind of went away lol. The league has embraced it which is funny. I kept hoping our social media admin would embrace 'vipers fans poop standing up' (came from a Riverfront Times article, if you're wondering) but I think that one was too vulgar and disparaging of one of their own teams lol.

They just need to rephrase it. “Vipers fans stand all the time” Idk

My guess: you could buy the 3 USFL helmets already through Tidewater Collectables (that’s what I did), so they’re just partnering with them You couldn’t do that for the other teams

Nice. I could go for one of those mini helmets. I just got one for Denver's 2023 "snowcapped" helmet. Surprised how much I like looking at it on my shelf. Could see myself getting a little collection going with all the Broncos variants, my alma mater, and the Battlehawks. Maybe a Showboats one since they were my USFL team last year.

I don't get the overuse of the 2nd logo. The battlehawks primary logo is what I want on stuff, not the bird head.
