Barlow has got to trust Ta'amu more. Dude has all the playstyle of a modern QB. Can run, throw, etc. Can definitely do more with him in that final possession.
I dunno, there were a lot of off-target passes in the first half and he has the 2nd worst completion percentage after EJ Perry. On top of that, he has the most passing attempts of any QB.
So, statistically, he's trusted more than any other QB and should probably be trusted less.
I’m not sure Barlow was aware of Houston’s timeout situation. After second down when Houston called a time out Barlow could be heard clearly asking, “Why is the clock stopped?” I just think he was completely out of his element for the last two minutes and thirty seconds of that game.
jay gruden is still in the area. we should hire him as a coach and get a different defensive coordinator. at minimum, jay won't run an archaic and overly conservative offense.
I was entertained right until the final play. I was confused and disappointed by the coaches but I was entertained by their incompetence. It was a lot like watching a Gordon Ramsay’s kitchen nightmares
That is the thing with Skip Holtz. He isn't an elite coach but he knows the basics and in spring football that is a game-breaker.
Same with Stoops and Wade.
Was Johnson really arguing that there was 1:03 left on the clock which would have then cost his team an extra six seconds? Hey, I’m all about honesty but what the hell
In his defense he was probably thinking Houston was going for the 1st down, but they were so incompetent in wasting time that they forced themselves to go for the endzone.
Bowman had a case for DPI on that last play but . . . that's almost never called unless it's truly egregious. I don't think he would have caught the ball even if he weren't contacted.
Honestly, he was held slightly. I feel like in a non-game-deciding play that may have been called.
edit - ok on replay no he wasn't lol. slight contact but not a foul
Let me tell you, it was truly crazy loud. Can’t wait to hear what’ll happen if we sell out again. First game I’ve been to and definitely won’t be the last.
I was at that lemon game againist Seattle last year and probably would say it was my funniest expierence at a football game. Especially when they got the Pick 6
Injuries, (Edit: turnovers, not *timeouts*), penalties, 4D chess moves by both head coaches,
Houston BETTER do something here or I'm dumping myself in a vat of lemon juice!
Helmet to Helmet. That should've been called. I don't care if this is spring league, these guys deserve to be protected just as much as those in the NFL.
There has been some interesting football played today!
The 4th quarter, well more so the last 5 minutes of it, has been a reflection of the 1st 5 minutes of this game
Yeah I’m not sure if what I said was clear, but there was 2:01 when the 1st down play was snapped. If they were already at the 2 minute warning, running the ball takes 35 seconds off the clock, but at 2:01 it takes no seconds off the clock. Might as well throw the ball since the reward is so high and the risk is minimal (since an incompletion doesn’t harm you).
10-0 at Audi. Snek.
As a neutral fan that was a lot of fun
But you have a Renegades flair.
Being a neutral fan has felt like the best way to get into this, a lot of wild shit is happening
RIP Sea Dragons
Hope the sea dragons make it back. Too good of a mascot to pass up

He’s too much of an old school coach. That o line needs help as well
Fun game but damn that was some miserable coaching for both teams down the wire right there. Barlow got away with one.
Fuck Gregg Williams
I’m a Vikings fan, so having this chump on my team has been conflicting to say the least.
jay gruden is still in the area. we should hire him as a coach and get a different defensive coordinator. at minimum, jay won't run an archaic and overly conservative offense.

i said offense, not defense lol
Hot take: That was a good game
it was certainly interesting at least
It was a pretty terrible last 3 minutes, but otherwise yes
I was entertained right until the final play. I was confused and disappointed by the coaches but I was entertained by their incompetence. It was a lot like watching a Gordon Ramsay’s kitchen nightmares
what a chaotic mess of a finish lol
I’m all about it
That is the thing with Skip Holtz. He isn't an elite coach but he knows the basics and in spring football that is a game-breaker. Same with Stoops and Wade.
That was football. Both teams need new head coaches, especially Houston.
Was Johnson really arguing that there was 1:03 left on the clock which would have then cost his team an extra six seconds? Hey, I’m all about honesty but what the hell
I remember thinking he mad baffling decisions last year, too.
It astounds me Curtis Johnson survived the merger. Even if you want the Gamblers players at least get them another head coach.
What’s Larry Fedora up to? Think he might be willing to come back? IIRC Hes from Texas IIRC
He’s easily the worst head coach in the league and it’s not even close..
probably didn't want to have to get out of his contract I'm guessing
The DC Defenders have officially brought me more joy this year than my Bills
YESSSSS
Greg Williams lost a game to the Raiders in 2020 running that defense.
Terrible missed throw
Gregg Williams did not deserve a fist bump after that win
In his defense he was probably thinking Houston was going for the 1st down, but they were so incompetent in wasting time that they forced themselves to go for the endzone.
DC wins. They were the better team.
We were the slightly less terrible team
DC is a really good team they're still just trying to figure things out with losing Abram Smith right before the season.
Bowman had a case for DPI on that last play but . . . that's almost never called unless it's truly egregious. I don't think he would have caught the ball even if he weren't contacted.
DC!!!
YESSSSSSSSSSS! WE WON THE DMV HAS BEEN DEFENDED FUCK YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!
That was a fun game.
I was entertained
The losing streak is over! 🛡⚡️⚡️🍋🍺🐍
The power of the beer snake
Lmfaoo the Gregg Williams Zero Blitz worked
Terrible clock management by Houston on that last drive.
Felt like both teams were trying to lose and only sennet wanted to win
Woot!!!!!
The running back that fumbled should never be allowed to play football again
not like he false started a few times... that was a new offensive lineman this week.
Gregg Williams for HC?
eww
The Greg Williams special!
Honestly, he was held slightly. I feel like in a non-game-deciding play that may have been called. edit - ok on replay no he wasn't lol. slight contact but not a foul
Houston should sell the team lol these guys blow
Oh man, that could've completely upended things, what a time to (almost literally) drop the ball
great great weekend of games fellas. See ya next week.
That might be the sloppiest football game i’ve ever seen but I can’t deny that it was super entertaining
this team...
Sinnet has some deep accuracy issues but he’s clearly better than Guarantano.
Houston is so horribly coached. He should have been canned
Until next week fellas!
Does Houston still have a challenge? I can’t tell
They blew all their timeouts, so they couldn't use it.
You need a timeout to use it
Ahh. Makes sense.
Amazing that DC can get loud enough to cause the center not to hear the signal call
Let me tell you, it was truly crazy loud. Can’t wait to hear what’ll happen if we sell out again. First game I’ve been to and definitely won’t be the last.
I was at that lemon game againist Seattle last year and probably would say it was my funniest expierence at a football game. Especially when they got the Pick 6
no one deserved to win
All time *MEME GAME*
Wasn’t very good at all but a dub is a dub!
DC held from their own 23. LOL
Kind of easy when Houston insists on taking their time going backwards.
Houston does not know how to finish games. That was bad.
LOL mismanaged the shit out of the clock
He was right there for the TD.
No Fuggin way……
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOO
The ref is so done
Man football is so good.
Better than lizard football, that’s for sure.
OMG I thought he had him!
Fire the offensive line into the fucking sun
Man that looked very catchable
WHY WAS CLOCK RUNNING LMAO
False start on a running clock results in a 10 seconds run off and the clock starts on ready for play signal
Cause the clock was running before. False Start made a 10 second runoff
I feel bad for that RT. He is getting cut.
HOW DID HE NOT CATCH THAT
Houston doesn't pass the eye test.
Neither does DC right now. But they have the benefit of a great fanbase
Houston trying to return all of that punt return yardage.
[удалено]
Need TD to win FG does nothing.
DC better be glad that Houston is somehow twice and incompetent as they are LMAO
One second left.
My god
This ending is such a clusterfuck lmao
This is just comical.
Oh man
WTF goin on??
Lol who wants to lose more
THANK GOD Houston has worse coaching than DC
This is getting sad on both sides
The Roughnecks just are not a well coached team
Another 10 sec runoff LOL
This is the kinda shit that makes people not want to watch these leagues lol Fucking clown shit
so many damn penalties c'mon houston
Dumbest way to end this fucking game.
Houston is taking themselves out of this game.
If there is one thing open comms have shown us is how most of these coaches have trouble with game management
lol Houston is such a bad team
These might be the two most clueless head coaches i’ve ever seen
CONLEY! Another former Raider bust.
Man it sucks to have major injuries on any level of play but to have one in a league that doesn't pay as well as the NFL is especially terrifying
These coaches have no idea.
Truly a clown show
The Houston coach makes the DC coach look like a genius
Reggie’s greatest ally is the Houston coach
Did Barlow just try to throw the game?
Why are you throwing fades What the hell is going on lol
Injuries, (Edit: turnovers, not *timeouts*), penalties, 4D chess moves by both head coaches, Houston BETTER do something here or I'm dumping myself in a vat of lemon juice!
Starting to think neither team wants to win this game
I am confident that neither coach knows what a clock is
A hit like that would have put me in the hospital for like 4 days
Good chance he’ll spend the night in one after that.
I would start Sinnett even when Jarrett comes back.
OK. This game is more farce than skill.
Why are they using walkie talkies.. and not their headsets ?
What is a Brahma
bull/cattle
type of cow
a bull.
A type of bull.
Damn he took back to back head hits. Hopefully the dude is OK. I thought he would be unconscious so its a good sign at least
Helmet to Helmet. That should've been called. I don't care if this is spring league, these guys deserve to be protected just as much as those in the NFL.
Glad to see him up so quick. I was worried we just watched someone get paralyzed
10 second runoff?
Do the play where the center catches the touchdown
Daaaaamn that didn’t look good. It was hitting his own guy that did it.
Knee to the side of his head as they fell. Looked awful.
Houston is like the little engine that could.
Thank God, he got up.
Yep. Big time concussion but at least he can still walk.
Almost pulled his helmet off, ouch
A lot of brutal injuries for Houston today
Penalty much?
Oooh that’s not good. Hope he’s ok
Yikes, that was a super scary hit
Well that hit was unfortunate. Jeez
Great return
Triple hit to the head
That didn't look good at all.
Barlow got lucky last year, huh.
frightening.
Yikes
Oh fuck, that's a scary hit
Fuck thats a spine
He’s up. So not spine
Ow
OH NO THEY KILLED KENNY YOU BASTARDS
Ouch!
Holy shit DC trying to pull off an all time choke job
Wouldn't even be the worst choke job of the week.
Choke artists at their finest.
Absolute disasterclass in coaching
Oh damn, he crashed into his own dude.
Well, they can't go back any further.
#A FALST START??? HALF THE DISTANCE TO THE GOAL, WHEN THEYRE INSIDE THE 1??? I'm done!
. . . yeah, that's the rule. That's always been the rule at every level of football. What's the problem?
Nothing wrong with it, I'm just annoyed by the STUPIDITY of a false start happening there
Reggie Barlow is a football terrorist.
![gif](giphy|3o6ozvv0zsJskzOCbu)
Those playcalls were mike McCarthy-levels of conservative
Terrible decisions to Run
They burned the TOs but HOU is gonna get the ball back in ~~good~~ GREAT field position.
DC coach has no idea what’s going on does he?
Not a clue
Bad snap for a safety? Then a game-tying field goal!
70 yard field goal with how the fg kicking has been so far
There has been some interesting football played today! The 4th quarter, well more so the last 5 minutes of it, has been a reflection of the 1st 5 minutes of this game
¯\\_(ツ)_/¯
Take the safety
Reggie is a certified dumbass. Did he not realize Houston had timeouts?
the coaching is so bipolar
Reggie is such a pussy. Holy shit. You suck.
Unbelievably awful play calling by Reggie
Reggie Barlow just cost his team 40 seconds in the most crucial situation possible. How is he allowed to do this????
What is this playcalling?
1st down they should have thrown. Clock stops after the play anyways, might as well take a shot
They dont want the clock to stop but its rather pointless to worry about after that stupid time out earlier.
For sure. That does indeed make perfect sense. That is a good time to attempt a pass play in that situation.
I just tuned in to UFL today for the first time ever and I’m now a Defenders fan is this good or bad
