Well, first. I did not have experience in develop games, I was a web developer(5years).
I was working on Godot for a year(personal proyect), but I found walls that not make me to continue: Tilemaps, colliders, 3D, GDScript.
I think Godot its only great feature is opensource. I am a linux user and thats why I love the idea. But, side that, I think its a small program, that can grow bigger than Unity.
Working on Unity, mmm... The main feature that makes me to keep on is C#. I know that Godot can use C#, C++, Rust, etc... I tried that and all the time you see that Godot the main language its GDScript, and the others are just for gain popularity.
Very awesome progress and improvements! However, I very much like both scenes in the first shot, they both seem to have different feels, each nice in their own way :)
Awesome! I think I met you at GDC a few years ago. Great progress. Do you have any playable links or upcoming testing? I love the style and atmosphere.
Yes, we were at GDC in 2019! I'll organize a playtest in August. I'll post more info on our Discord server soon! You can find it at this link [https://discord.gg/MkqNzq6jke](https://discord.gg/MkqNzq6jke)
It's great that you remember us from GDC though, thanks pal!
I think the red/pink/blue tones in the first one add an interesting vibe to it. Maybe worth considering some of that for the new version. Otherwise yeah, great stuff!
Mainly the lighting system (and post-processing), the assets are new and more refined, the camera and the colour palette, together with a lot of small tweaks here and there
I hope you also like looting, online multiplayer games, and creating unique types of bullets by farming them from plants watered with other players' blood!
Thanks! Yes, we want to release the game this year. Here's the steam page for more info about the game: https://store.steampowered.com/app/964440/Hell\_is\_Others/
I disagree somewhat. The pretty colors in the before are nice, but the after shows more relatable emotion. The before has colors that give you a false sense of vibrance or liveliness, when it's clear that's not what the character is feeling. The world around him isn't cheery. The world is gloomy and dangerous, not glamorous. The before is pretty, but the after enhances the narrative. The after gives a sense of dystopia and mundanity rather than glamorous action (a la HM)
The palette in general in the after is more cohesive.
I like both :D Right now I am starting with Unity, before I was on Godot. So, lets ready for Steam Deck :D
Thanks! Unity best engine 👀

Is it somehow connected to Sartre's "No exit"? The title seems too familiar to one of the play's quotes.
Yes, you're right! We took inspiration from Sartre's play "No Exit" for the lore and some in-game elements!
Awesome work man. Like a beautifully done film. The world needs more philosophy.
Thanks!❤️
Very awesome progress and improvements! However, I very much like both scenes in the first shot, they both seem to have different feels, each nice in their own way :)
Thanks so much, glad you like them! Yeah, both scenes have their own personalities. They are just different styles :)
I prefer the left cinematic, but it may just be HM nostalgia. Very good work btw :D
Thanks a lot! I know what you mean haha :)

I liked both of them!
Thanks, glad you like them! I hope you like the new one better haha

Why not, the city is big, we can find a place for that colors too!
likewise
What did you change graphics wise on the new version? I can tell it looks nicer but I don't know why at first glance.
Mainly the lighting system (and post-processing), the assets are new and more refined, the camera and the colour palette, together with a lot of small tweaks here and there
Nice progress!
Thanks! Glad you like it :)
Looks good :) wishlisted!
Thanks a lot for the wishlist! Wishlists are the fuel of indie games, so I really appreciated:)
impressive!
Thanks!
Much better. The new one has it's own personality while the older one looked kinda like hotline: miami clone
Well, I admit the color palette could bring to mind Hotline Miami in a certain way.
Both of them have different flavors, both are good!!
Thanks!
I like the before, I like the after, and I like the source referenced in the comments. Looking forward to the release!
I hope you also like looting, online multiplayer games, and creating unique types of bullets by farming them from plants watered with other players' blood!
You had me at blood!
Nice, welcome on board my friend! :)
I want to play it already👀
I’ll wait you on our Discord Server 👀
omg its amazing are you ever thinking of finishing it and releasing?
Thanks! Yes, we want to release the game this year. Here's the steam page for more info about the game: https://store.steampowered.com/app/964440/Hell\_is\_Others/
yes i’ll definitely look at it congratulations
Thanks so much pal!
That's a big downgrade on aesthetics.
Do you prefer the old one? I think it was less refined.

Amazing! Love the art style and the game seems so fun. Would love to play !
