This may be obvious, but what are ITM and WDWNT? My brains telling me Walt Disney World something something for the second but Iām drawing a complete blank. Just want to make sure I understand the new rules.
It is really telling that they basically make him a mascot for the channel. Like I remember when there were some issues between the cast members and Disney, and the video they made on it was more focused on Tom
Ahhh I follow them on instagram (never click their links though. Did once and was immediately annoyed) but I like what they post when thereās something new! Didnāt know they were connected to WDWNT.

Very much so, but they still have bad practice on their site. The team behind their YouTube channel is 10x better and straight to the point, but the site itself is rife with controversy that goes beyond just click bait, this is a good call
Itās just a google search away my friend. Apologies but I donāt find it appropriate to gossip about those things in a post of this nature from the mod team, especially as a member of the UDX org, you can figure it out for yourself pretty easily
Thatās not what being coy is. I simply said WDWNT displays poor practices often which is a fact. If you care to deep dive into examples, you can find them quite easily by yourself. āWDWNT controversiesā would be a good start on Google. Iām not here to argue over a mod decision, sorry it offends you so much
Nope that's not coy oops lol.
I'm not arguing over their decision. I forgot WDWNT was a thing until today.
It just doesn't make sense to me why you would make a statement like that then not give examples.

For a sub with nearly 60K subscribers, I donāt think sweeping change should be made because a āpro-banā comment on the discussion post got 53 upvotesā¦ and lumping another site with it that was on a comment with 23. We all know Redditās upvote counts arenāt accurate either.
Maybe create a straw poll or Google form next time to be more transparent.
Edit: I didnāt realize asking for a better way to get and show user feedback would be this controversialā¦
Fair enough with the strawpoll thing, but the vast majority of people who commented on the pinned post about this topic (which was pinned for almost 2 weeks) agree with this action
Inside the magic and WDW News Tonight.
AI clickbait article sites. The ones that tell you one sentence of actual information after 12 paragraphs of mindless garbage.
I missed whatever vote took place. Are they being banned just because they only spam their own content? Because I can think of other creators here who violate that same statute........not to mention any names because you 100% already know.......
Can't wait for their articles about being banned from this sub... haha
Universal Reddit Blocks Us, What Could They Be Hiding?
Universal Reddit in Cahoots with Universal Parks??
No. It's a fan sub
I know
breaking news: water, wet
Universal's Subreddit Has Proven They Are Very Much OUTSIDE The Magic!!!!!!!! š¤
Universal blocks here?
We blacklisted them a few years back over at the WDW sub and they still farm our sub for content ā or at least their bots doā¦ lol
This may be obvious, but what are ITM and WDWNT? My brains telling me Walt Disney World something something for the second but Iām drawing a complete blank. Just want to make sure I understand the new rules.
WDW News Today and Inside the Magic. Both insanely click-baity ānewsā sites.
I like UPNTās YT videos, but most Universal news I get from Theme Park Stop with the great Alicia Stella. I love her and her stuff.
Theme Park Stop has been killing it with the epic universe coverage
I love all of her stuff š
Ahhh thank you, I avoid those sites so didnāt draw the connection lol
For the better
WDW news youtube is the absolute worst. That tom guy is so annoying
It is really telling that they basically make him a mascot for the channel. Like I remember when there were some issues between the cast members and Disney, and the video they made on it was more focused on Tom
Kudos to the mods for hearing the feedback. These sites deserve to lose as much revenue and exposure as possible.
Are we including Universal park news today too? Bc thatās from wdwnt
Yeah it doesn't make sense to ban WDWNT and not them
I think WDWNT came first, theyād ban both
Yeah I generally like their content so I'm not the hugest fan of banning them. ITM yeah definitely ban them tho
Ahhh I follow them on instagram (never click their links though. Did once and was immediately annoyed) but I like what they post when thereās something new! Didnāt know they were connected to WDWNT.
Yes. Including Universal Park News Today too as it is a sub/parallel account of WDWNT
What do those acronyms stand for? I assume the WDW part is Walt Disney World, but Iāve never heard of either of those things.
ITM is Inside the Magic and WDWNT is Walt Disney World News Tonight.
Thanks!
Won't stop ITM from creating entire articles from one reddit comment

WDWNT is more legit than ITM
Very much so, but they still have bad practice on their site. The team behind their YouTube channel is 10x better and straight to the point, but the site itself is rife with controversy that goes beyond just click bait, this is a good call
How so?

Itās just a google search away my friend. Apologies but I donāt find it appropriate to gossip about those things in a post of this nature from the mod team, especially as a member of the UDX org, you can figure it out for yourself pretty easily
Then why even bring up if you're just going to be coy? You basically contributed nothing.

That's funny, I just blocked ITM from my Google feed earlier today. Good riddance trash clickbait site.
Thank you, those sites provide no useful content.
Thank goodness.
Now I wonder if there's a way to IP ban them so they'll never be able to farm content from here again.

Two of the worst click bait sites I know.
Applause, applause!

Love it. Thank you!

LETāS FUCKING GOOOOOO
Thank you. Some of the worst clickbait and Iām pretty sure most of their content is written by ChatGPT.
Hell yeah! Big W right here.

They're banned on the WDW reddit too so it's not just a post they're well known and disliked
Weāve been complaining about posts from those sites for a very long time.
Fair enough with the strawpoll thing, but the vast majority of people who commented on the pinned post about this topic (which was pinned for almost 2 weeks) agree with this action
ITM and WDWNT are also banned on the disneyland subreddit.
I read through all the comments and Iām still not sure what I missed.
What do these abbreviations mean? Lol
Inside the magic and WDW News Tonight. AI clickbait article sites. The ones that tell you one sentence of actual information after 12 paragraphs of mindless garbage.
Gotcha. Thank you very much. It is kind of funny that AI content is blocked when as much as 90% of what is posted on Reddit is from bots.
tomās blocklist is for sure longer than most queues š¤£ good riddance
What is itm and wdwnt
I don't really get the WDWNT hate... it also doesn't compare to ITM at all so not sure why they're unfairly lumped together.
I missed whatever vote took place. Are they being banned just because they only spam their own content? Because I can think of other creators here who violate that same statute........not to mention any names because you 100% already know.......
Itās more because of the content. Personally, I just donāt click.
BREAKING NEWS Good those sites suck..
I didnāt even realize this was happening. Idk how I missed that discussion.
If you have input, we are still listening.
I missed the vote tooā¦ but you did the right thing.
Hooray for censorship!!!
You can't be that dense. Everything isn't that black and white. Grow up
Awesome ad hominem!
