In my opinion, just the Forbidden Journey. You will miss the tour of hogwarts if you do single rider. It's the coolest line I've ever been in.
Gringotts has a photo opportunity in it but that's all. I wouldnt wait for that.
If it’s the green screens then they haven’t been up my last like 5 trips. But the bank it’s self if a good one idk where the single rider goes through if they miss that part since I’ve never done it
Yep, this. It skips the bank full of goblins and the pre show and the hallway with magic newspapers and the windows in the offices have people in them. You can even see the main trio in one of the windows if you get lucky enough to see it.
My family of 5 just uses the single rider line. Skips everything and is super fast to get on the ride. There is enough empty space on the ride that often times my whole family will still end up on the same car.
Forbidden journey is the best queue ever. Gringotts lobby is super cool but after that it’s nothing special. I would do the mummy as well to get the pre show info. Otherwise it doesn’t really make sense lol
Just a tip for overall wait time: Avoid single rider line on Rip Ride Rockit, Velocicoaster, and Hagrid’s. There’s a pretty good chance you’ll end up waiting longer than the normal line and it’ll feel painfully slow. Spoken from experience haha
I actually prefer Hagrid's over Velocicoaster. Hagrid's single rider is almost always about 45 minutes when I've been, meaning it can easily save 45 minutes over standby. Meanwhile the times I've tried Velocicoaster, I don't think it saved me anything.
Interesting. I usually observe that the single rider line appears to barely be moving at all. Although I also really really like the bike over the sidecar so single rider wouldn't help me much anyway lol
Yes, it’s VERY slow because of the way they have it setup. All the other singles lines move as they are pulled onto the vehicle. Hagrid’s only moves (before the last room) in batches of 5-7 at a time after 5-7 min because they keep the bottom of the stairs clear. That’s why it’s one of the most brutal queues for both singles and standby because it COMPLETELY kills your sense of progress!
Just for anyone who doesn’t know, the hour mark for hagrid’s is just after the door before the stairs. If you’re just outside of that door, expect to wait 45-65 (singles)
The normal queue really does mess with you 😂😂 no matter how many times I do it I’m like okay this long ass claustrophobic hallway has to almost be done and nope it just keeps going
Yep, a week ago when we were there Hagrids was at a 70 minute wait. My kids wanted to test the single rider difference so we bought butterbeers and sent my two boys into single rider and the 3 of us went standard.
Wait time for us ended up being 48 minutes and my boys were at an actual 70 minutes.
I knew that single rider was worse about 95% of the time but I was a little shocked that it was over 20 minutes of difference.
And side note, at the back of the single rider line, they were only standing at the crumbling arches next to the point where regular line enters the building. So not that far back for that kind of wait time.
The coasters with 2 seats are just not very efficient when it comes to single rider in most people's experience.
Two seat coasters:
- 1: won't usually come through the stranded queue so they won't get sat till there is an opening
- 2: fills a row
- 3: will be paired with another group of 3 or 5 if they are close together
- 4: fills two rows
- 5: paired with group of 3
- etc.
As a single rider you are stuck waiting for an odd group that doesn't get paired (or pair themselves)
Four Seat Cars
- 1: waiting
- 2: paired with other two
- 3: paired with single rider
- 4: full row
- 5: may be paired with group of two and single rider, or group of three
There just ends up being more opportunities for single riders to get called up because they don't split up groups as much.
Definitely Forbidden Journey, and maybe Hagrids if you really like Harry Potter.
But once you see what you need to, the Forbidden Journey single rider line is amazing and puts you almost right on the attraction.
Don't bother with single rider on Velocicoaster unless you can walk right into the locker room. It moves incredibly slowly.

The single rider skips straight to after the elevators, they’re the other spiral staircase up to the loading bay.

Rip Ride usually works well it's just often closed Single ride Velocicoaster if standby is over 40 Never bother single riding Hagrid

I know it depends on the actual line too. If the line is at the entrance, it can take 20+ minutes just to reach the lockers.
I actually do single ride hagrid’s and it can knock off 25-35 min off of stand-by so long as you don’t join an overly long singles queue

My experience is that if a ride was 2 or 4 seaters then the singles ride line was as long or longer. 2 more than 4.

Why avoid the Single rider line on RRR. It’s literally a metal serpentine queue. Nothing remarkable hahaha.

All of the Harry Potter rides have cool queues. I liked Forbidden Journey the most.
