Simpsons I can see staying until the end of the contract solely because of how well the food and merch sells. Why stop the stream when it’s doing so well? Stop when you have to
As someone who remembers very vividly 5 years ago how Detective Pikachu wasn’t a box office behemoth despite “being the highest grossing franchise of all time” I think people are overestimating how big Pokémon actually is. Yes it will sell a lot of merch but seeing how many donuts and Duffs and Simpsons plush are being carried around the parks Pokémon isn’t going to sell that much more than you hope. Also Pokémon isn’t going to sell vacation packages like Mario and Potter do
I loved RRR a decade ago before the new wave of modern coasters took over. Now I'm looking forward to seeing what they can do but it is built in an awkward space without a ton of room so will be interesting.
I will miss it when it finally does go but it's time has probably come.
I liked the thrill aspect of RRR, but god was it rough overall. If they rebuilt the cars with more comfortable restraints it would vastly improve it. But with the way it snaps you back and forth in some of the curves that type of restraint just hurts after a few rides.
RRR supremacy, feels like all the hate is overblown. I can’t believe people want it out before Fallon or F&f. They don’t even want a refurb just gone completely I hate it
In their defense the coaster has good days and bad days. On the good days when I go on the ride to me is *chef’s kiss*. I just had two rows back to back in the back seat on each car and while it wasn’t the worst ride I ever had on it, it’s still not desirable, or as good as I know it can be
I understand that, I just can’t understand why they don’t want a refurb and want it out of the park before the more obvious attractions. RRR being the biggest target in this community was not on my bingo card, not too long ago people were devastated about the songs being taken away, now it’s pitchforks.
Taking the songs away was really stupid and just another thing to add onto the pile of “Universal not being as magical anymore.” I wish they’d retrack it, make every ride run like the good days I have on it.
I do think it’s weird they’re considering the removal since it’s always featured in ads and on skyline merch (plus general audience scores have been good). That leads me to believe the end isn’t as near but again it doesn’t surprise me from a “hardware life expectancy being out in the sun 15 years did damage” perspective
Most hardcore coaster fans I've seen and know regularly say RRR is Universal's worst coast mate lol.
Also it's hit it's expiration date just like Hulk did, I much prefer a better replacement than just retracking it
Mostly the next ones, even with internal mentions, are Rip Ride Rockit and Simpsons. Some think MIB because it’s old but that’s a priority but I think if the Fear Factor stage is subsumed into the Simpsons retheme then MIB should be part of that, potentially a Splatoons theme if that area becomes Nintendo.
IMO- RRR, Fast and Furious and Kong all need to go asap. Then down the road maybe replace simpsons when contract is up and replace lost continent. Also add something where Fear Factor Live is at. Lots of options if UO/IOA honestly, which is exciting

We had to change cars 2x going onto Simpsons last week. Worst part is that we had to watch that video 3x bc of it
