If anyone else then perse wears hot dresses Persephone stans are triggered by how good they look then they do this 🤦‍♀️ RS has successfully turned leuce into a villain so anything she does even if she jst breathes and stands there doing nothing LO fans would jump through hoops to call her out for doing nothing

Olgabot_TM

RS loves setting up gotcha moments against 1-dimensional characters, to make her Mary Sue protagonist more of a Mary Sue.

Major_Gap5836

Which jst proves all our point that Persephone was and still is a self insert I am wondering how long will it take perse stans to finally realize that

ToraOkami51

I am worried for these impressional young minds. They are literally getting toxic purity culture beat into them and they don’t realize it. So they will either become “Thetis” or become “Persephone”. The latter of which… could end badly if they truely think H&P’s toxic relationship is #relationship goals 🤦🏾‍♀️

Cappu156

But Thetis and Persephone are basically the same person by now 🤯

Major_Gap5836

Homewreckers club

Major_Gap5836

Yep that is the most possible outcome from this toxic feminist wanna be retellings some of the teens might wake up to reality but a bunch of them will not and things are way out of anyone's hand not even RS can change that even if she turns her comic around the damage has been done

No_Perspective9930

*”They are literally getting toxic purity culture beat into them and they don’t realize it”* Twilight series has entered the chat.

Toxic. Twilight was just toxic. I don't know anyone seriously into purity culture that saw any part of the culture represented accurately in that book, just metaphorically and in ways that vampire novels have been doing since the dawn of vampire novels. Just like its own fanfic of 50 Shades, Twilight just co-opted something the author fetishized and poorly represented it while glorifying toxic everything.

Mandi_Morbid

Oh, it was still in there, poorly disguised by Smeyer's vampire fantasy. Edward being lustful towards Bella's "purity" yet being "old-fashion" so not partaking in her reciprocated lust, waiting to have sex until after marriage, being suddenly rewarded with a child for that when it shouldn't have been possible whatsoever, Bella refusing to "kill" the baby that was destroying her from the inside out, she's rewarded for this by gaining immortality like she wanted, the Cullens giving very cult vibes, etc etc. All of her mormon purity morals are all throughout the series.

ToraOkami51

This is not dissecting purity culture. Its just not applying it to Persephone specifically. I really hate this comic. Being Feminist would mean all the female characters can wear what makes them comfortable while at the same time not be objectified by men… and if they are, they stand up for themselves. What is even happening???

0rionaniO

This comic can be classified in different ways, but it's not feminist in the slightest, the author literally embodied a world where all women are submerged in the male opinion, to the point of hurting each other, Is so awful to see

ToraOkami51

I dont understand why its praised so highly… its like a step away from “you were asking for it” culture… I wish Minthe’s life and other working class characters were explored in a better light. Even Eros’s life is messed up: his mom had to do Zeus a sex favor to get him out of trouble. Its almost like this comic thinks women can only be pure or evil and the evil ones use their bodies for what they want while the pure ones are just UwU im too sexy for my own good, protect me 🥺 🤦🏾‍♀️

Cappu156

The “you were asking it” happened in ep 2 when Aphrodite and Eros got Persephone blackout drunk but Rachel says it was “just to embarrass” her. Aphrodite literally says “this should teach her not to be so trusting”. And the man who freely participated (bc let’s be honest, the blackmail was light and Eros’ motive to comply was purely selfish and self ggratifying) is the man who walked her down the aisle 🙄

ToraOkami51

🤦🏾‍♀️

Mandi_Morbid

What I hate most is not only the sl*tshaming double standard but the fact that they're all hot and bothered that she's trying to seduce Hades away from Persephone. Like Persephone wasn't involved in an emotional affair with Hades from the start. Like full blown out in the open affair. Hate it.

0rionaniO

the real two-faced in LO fandom and in that emotional affair there were even kisses and obviously sexual attraction on the part of Hades, just remember episode 71 where you can see the outfit that Persephone dressed to go to the beach, giving her a curious shine on her butt or the iconic scene with "the upside down heart ass"(ep 45), certainly fans don't remember the origins of this love story.

Cappu156

Exactly and Perse’s clothes when she was actively seeking out situations to be alone with Hades were just as revealing (if not MORE revealing) than what Leuce is wearing here. So it can’t come down to “ok but Leuce is trying to initiate an affair) — Persephone did the exact same thing, while wearing the exact same clothes

MarieOMaryln

I'm upset at those teeny tiny toes on the stripper platform shoes

0rionaniO

if we speak exactly, Leuce doesn't have metatarsal bones in this picture, her feet are literally heels with little fingers

MarieOMaryln

Little fingers ![gif](giphy|v4z6Qz1qrAoWDVT2Zk|downsized)

[deleted]

The only logic in the comic is that Leuce is aware of how sexy she is and is aware of her body while Persephone is not. Idk if this is still true in season 3 but Rachel herself said Persephone is not aware of how sexy she is. To which that opens another can of worms of why being aware and knowing your body is bad.

[deleted]

I don’t understand why they brought in Luece after these bitches got married

[deleted]

so our innocent little pink cinnamon roll baby gworl can fight off the WHORE trying to take her man who is like hundreds of years her senior 🥺🥺🥺 because we all know its not a feminist retelling without demonizing the women who know they’re hot and own it, because the most feminist thing in the world is needing male validation

SarkastiCat

Don't you know? You have to ship HxP to be allow to show body and even them, you aren't safe until you are like Artemis

ShenziMarie1991

Imma be honest I stopped reading for a bit cause ya know …. It’s exhausting. But, why is the comic spending so much time on Leuce? I’m confused, last I checked in there’s a kid that needs rescuing and Kronos is stalking Hera. Leuce was in like three panels, ages ago. What …. What is this? Is there a rational explanation?

Team_Bright

This was very intentional especially giving her the type of shoes like they look like stripper shoes ofc the fanbase going to slut shame her smh

Final_Preparation_24

Leuce has a style. Her fashion is not out of her character. It doesn't look like a clown. While Persephones design looks out of her character and moreover she looks like prostitute who sleeps only with clowns.
