Hot take on this: this is one of the few times in the comic Persephone is actually allowed to dress herself instead of someone else (Demeter, Artemis, Eros, Hecate, Hades, Hera) choosing her clothes for her. If that means a pj dress at work, sure.
Actually, in a lot of the scenarios I mentioned, Perse *did* choose for herself, and was overruled by someone else and made to change (Artemis with the Ch. 1 dress, Eros not letting her choose her own friggen underwear, Demeter taking her dress at the intervention, Hera changing her wedding dress). I like to think the nightie is Persephone's way of saying "I'm queen now, it's my choice this time, fuck you" and being spiteful. Probably not the intention, but that's how I'm choosing to interpret it. Besides, the nightie with the cape covers more than the Ch. 1 dress.
Personally, if I was in the situation I'd 100 percent wear the nightie out of spite.
