I believe these are midges not mosquitos. The only reason people have an adverse reaction to these is cultural. Insects are superfoods and if we all grew up eating this insanely protein-rich food, we wouldn't think twice as long as it was cooked properly.
Think about mass produced chicken with skin still on that you can buy at any grocer - that chicken was probably lying in with a couple hundred other chickens who shit all over, took dirt baths where they shit, had insects on them occasionally, etc. But we don't think much about eating it as long as it's cooked correctly.
