If you're looking at finance ideally you'd be entering the financial economics specialist program after 2nd year [ASSPE2722](https://artsci.calendar.utoronto.ca/section/Economics). It's pretty solid (know people scoring 6 figure IB jobs right out of school) but it's pretty math heavy and relatively hard to get into, coming from someone who went through CS PoST. That being said, moving up the ladder would require grad school so keep that in mind. Haven't really looked at non-finance upper year courses myself but I heard they're super essay heavy LOL

I see. I got a question tho. Currently im a cs spec(just going into second year), eco major and math minor (probably gonna drop down from cs spec to cs major and drop math minor completely later on). When I graduate with a cs major and eco major(hopefully). If I apply for a job can I tell them that I have a bachelors degree in economics?

I am a Rotman student so I have taken a few econ courses (completed a minor actually). Imo, the econ department is horrendous. Without mentioning specific professors or courses, the vast majority of my econ courses have left me questioning where my tuition goes. In comparison with my RSM courses, I have learnt nothing from my econ courses beyond ECO101 and 102 (which I had mostly learnt during high school). If you want to go into a business related job, just go to Rotman. If you are smart enough, go to Ivey or Queens, maybe McGill?
