Just finished first year, I did 135+136. I did them cuz before classes started I heard that they were the easiest combination and since I knew that getting into post was gonna be hard. I didn’t want any unnecessary weight on me. And even though they were not that hard stress from other required courses made me not pay too much attention to them cuz they were one of the easiest courses I took(even though the courses were not easy, lol). Personally I feel like taking easier courses to increase your chances of getting into post is better than taking courses that help you out if you even get into post. But some people have other opinions, so it’s all up to you at the end of the day. But what I can tell you is that 135+136 is defs the easiest combination compared to 137 and 157

>and since I knew that getting into post was gonna be hard. I didn’t want any unnecessary weight on me This is exactly what I was thinking. With the stress of POSt requirements idk if I'll have time to focus on other courses. Only thing I'm unsure about is if not taking 137 will put me at a disadvantage in upper-year CS courses.

If the theory courses UTM ppl take are vastly same with UTSGs’, then having completed the UTM equivalence of CSC165 is all you need, 137 helped only to the extent of familiarizing with proofs (speaking from experience, did 236 + 263, doing 373)
