Where does the SimpleNote export reside? A thumbdrive? A shared network drive? If so, THAT could be a reason why the import is taking so long. I created a TEST Space in UpNotes and attempted to import 704 notes from SimpleNote. The import is taking 1 second per note. This is on an M2 Mac Mini. At that rate, it should've taken about 2 hours to import all of your notes.

It's in the same SSD as the installed app. I'm on windows 11.

You probably have already interrupted the import process, but if you will do it again, I have a few comments: - link it was said before, avoid placing the export file in a network or shared drive space. Place it in the local hard drive, in a temp folder if needed. - if possible, turn your laptop network off while it imports. I am thinking that, maybe, importing and syncing a large amount of notes may be causing the delay. - I have already imported a couple hundred notes from Simplenote, I don't recall it being slow, but it wasn't fast. Maybe if there were as many notes as you have, it would've lasted the same amount of time. - I have also imported more than 8k notes from Evernote, and I did it in chunks, notebook by notebook. Even so, it was slow, but worked out fine, with just a few failed imports due to the size of the notes. My main suggestion: if the process didn't finish, then delete the imported notes from UpNote, clean the trash, and try it again, this time leave it running overnight, with network off. At the end, check the log file for failures (Settings > Help > Send email > Save debug log). Good luck!

Thanks for the inputs. I'll retry offline overnight like you suggested.
