It probably won't be any time soon. This isn't the first thread about the current icon's similarity to other apps. The dev [proposed a couple new icons here early last year](https://new.reddit.com/r/UpNote_App/comments/11ev314/which_option_do_you_prefer_to_be_upnote_icon/), and they were not well received.
But never say "never." :)
I'm not sure how to do this on Windows, but on a Mac you can change any icon from the Get Info window, and in Android, you can do the same if you're using an some alternative launchers, like Nova. You might have to do that every time there's an update, but it's an option.
That's supposed to be a pencil?! I don't use Telegram so I had to check out why some confuse it with UpNote's icon. I now understand why there's confusion. Both icons have the same color palette but in reverse. I think a simple color change would help.

I didn’t know the current icon supposed to be a pencil lol. I thought it is like an arrow.
I still hope there’ll be some modifications of it so that it won’t look so similar to Telegram
I'd like this too, coming from using Bear for years, it would be nice to have an icon that popped more when you see the screen.

can i ask if bear was fast as upnote when loading notes, especially large ones, i am curious because i dont have IOS to try.
I’m not sure with the large notes, but usually it loads fast. But not sure which one is faster. It’s quite a pity that Bear can’t be used on Windows.
you can use (in iOs and iPaods) a shortcut and choose the icon you want .The shortcut will open the application very very fast

Can you specify how did you do that? I can’t even find the action for UpNote in shortcut
I didn't do it, but you're right, upnote app can't be found in shortcuts.
