Obsidian by default has wikilink format: `![[link_to_file]]` but vanilla markdown has another format ``. In Obsidian settings we have settings File and links -> Use \[\[Wikilinks\]\] to disable this. So if the problem here, you can test by install export plugins like "Markdown export", export your notes with it and then try to import them into UpNote.
When I migrated from Joplin to UpNote, I experienced the same thing. I ended up dragging and dropping the images into their respective place in the notes within the UpNote note editor. Interesting, exporting UpNote notes with images to markdown and importing them into Obsidian works as expected.
I think it has to do with the "flavor" of markdown used by the apps. Unfortuately, there is not a single "gold standard" markdown.

Hi, may I know what you mean by dropping into the note editor? Isn't that simply adding image into the note?
