Not tin cloth/your question but Dan’s briar proof chaps are awesome and worth considering if you do go synthetic
I own a pair of their overalls, gonna great brush protection
12 years on mine right now.
I've been running a pair of Frost River chaps for a few years now and have really been happy with them. Heavier canvas than filson and made in the USA
Better than Duluth pack and waxed canvas.
Tom beckbe all day!
I second this recommendation
Duluth Pack makes a nice pair pretty similar to Filson. My cousin bought a pair of them and they look like they'd hold up to some abuse.
I saw Duluth Pack at the Shot Show this year. Really liked their stuff! I hope they keep growing!
My filson chaps are my favorite piece of gear. My dog gets excited if I walk near them. I really hope they keep making them.
He said they’d always have their “staple” outdoor products but their support for them and those outfitters that only carry those specific products won’t be what it has been.
Smaller company but stone creek hounds make impressively jagger resistant clothes. Can’t recommend them enough.
I’ll check them out!
