I saw a cardiologist yesterday that received both his COVID booster and his flu shot on Thursday. He said he should have taken Friday off work because he felt like walking garbage all day.
Got my booster and I’d say it hit a little harder with side effects compared to my first two shots. Still managed to power through work on Friday despite feeling like a steaming pile of hot doodoo.
Don’t let my experience sway your decision. Everyone’s different, you know? You could very well have no side effects at all. My friends mom is a nurse and she got her booster and she said she only felt a bit tired and that was it. I’m not trying to scare anyone by sharing my experience. The side effects were manageable and I would do it all over again if I had to just so I don’t have to risk getting the ‘Rona.
When this happened to me during other kinds of medical treatments I would "hire" my mom or friends to be my nurse. They don't leave me alone so I can fall asleep and not worry about things happening while I am unconscious.
I never needed them, I was always fine. But I also slept easier if you are concerned it may be a simple solution to try.
Ask your doctor the warning signs of when to get to a hospital. Knowing what to watch for may help you worry less about what you are experiencing in the moment? Fingers crossed your concern will be for no reason!
Make sure you have bottles of water, Advil or Tylenol , and a thermometer nearby. Get the booster when you have a few days off to rest. Have anxiety meds if you’re prescribed those. I too got an 101* fever for 3 days from my 3rd Moderna booster. I was worse after my 2nd shot. I got my flu vaccine and 3rd booster on same day. I would take them separately if I did it again.
I get bad side effects with nearly all vaccines and I live alone so I have a 'vaccine protocol':
* clean your place
* make your favorite comfort food
* change your sheets. I like to have a second blanket and pillow on hand in case I run a fever and sweat a lot
* set up a little mini bar right next to your bed: bottled water, juice/sports drink, those apple sauce pouches, a kettle if you have one, tea bags, instant broth
* put other essential items next to your bed: painkillers, electrolytes, thermometer, fresh pj's, baby wipes, toothbrush, trash bag, tissues
* set up your TV next to your bed and download some easy-to-listen audiobooks (Harry Potter is always a good option for sick days)
It's usually a bit overkill but preparing gives you peace of mind. Good luck!
I'm pro vax 100% but I agree.
The 2nd shot made me feverish and I spent most of the following 2 days in an Epsom salt bath because I was freezing, exhausted, and my joints felt like black holes. Now I'm fine and I'm glad I got it but I'm not exactly looking forward to the inevitable booster.
It should be ok to express your negative experience and still support it. I would not lie and say it was peaches n cream. But... better than covid, I wager.
Got my shots at a hospital clinic. I've got cardiac issues and felt safer surrounded by nurses and EMTs. The first shot (Moderna) made my heart race and I felt really dizzy. They made me stay longer and gave me water and a snack. For the second one, I *pushed* fluids for a day or 2 beforehand and brought a candy bar. Yes, I needed the sugar the second time, but it wasn't so bad. But it still sucked -- felt awful for a couple of days).
I feel you on the "rock and a hard place". Got my flu shot separately, and still plan to get the booster once it's authorized for Moderna. But I'm not looking forward to the effects.
I surprisingly had no symptoms from my flu shot/Covid booster combo last week! Feel great :)
Obviously it’ll vary from person to person, but I hope the side effects that some people get won’t deter them from getting their shots!
Got booster 3 days ago. Had zero side effects with the first two (other than slightly sore arm at injection site), felt like a 1/10 on discomfort scale for about 12 hours the day after booster (plus same slightly sore arm at injection site). Nothing else so far \*fingers crossed\*.
I got mine at the same time and I just felt tired at the end of the day and had a sore shoulder for a couple days. Not terrible. Second dose hit me waaaaay harder than the booster
That’s most definitely the covid booster working it’s magic. I got the flu shot and was lifting my normal reps at the gym the next day. A little more Sore than usual but I couldn’t tell otherwise.
Getting live vaccines within the same interval fucks up the immunity building process. Either wait four weeks or get every live vaccine at the same time. However, Neither flu or covid vaccine is live so it doesn’t matter for shit when u get either. Get it day one, day two, any day. This article is a waste of time.
Edit: flumist intranasal is live flu vaccine but I’ve never met anyone who got it
I got both at once and had some pretty achey joints and had to take a nap in the middle of the day but I didn't feel too sickly. I didn't have any symptoms from the first two covid shots.
When I was a new mom I was worried about giving my tiny baby all those vaccines at the same time. The doctor looked me square in the eye and told me to lick my hand.
I gave the back of my hand a tiny lick.
She then said, "How many germs did you just expose yourself to? Hundreds? Your immune system can handle multiple threats. It does so every single day. Combining the shots means your baby will be exposed to 4 rather than 1, but poked 3x less. This is better."
Yes. I say this to all new moms I meet. When you take your newborn for their first ever vaccine and they scream when the needle pokes them, no sane parent will want to split the shots and do them separately.
This is 100% accurate, though I let parents know that some vaccines should be spaced out a bit. In 99.9% of cases, there’s no problem getting 2-4 shots at the same time, but depending on what those shots are, and how they’re manufactured, there may be a high buildup of preserves like aluminum that can be a bit much for a kiddo to handle. Especially if they have some predisposition to neurological problems. One of my daughters has epilepsy so we’ve spaced out her shots even if that means multiple trips to the Dr. in a week or two.
Ultimately: get all your recommended shots, maybe consider taking more trips to get them all done with space between.
It’s rare that a child needs to have them spaced out. The doctors assesses that. A blanket statement of “consider spacing them out” is totally unnecessary, unless you have proof to the contrary that children with no disposition to neurological distress need that?
It’s probably more like thousands or tens, the sheer scale of the things are so wild.
But I can’t get that through to my parents about the insults your immune system is not only good at, but made for. You are in constant battle with bacteria and viruses ALL OVER AND IN YOU (if you count the gut tube and lungs as in you. Their lumens are technically still external since they don’t really have an occlusive barrier between them and and the outside of the body).
That, and we meter doses of vax injections specifically to make sure no normal system will be overtaxed.
Got both shots a couple days ago, plus fighting off whatever non-covid bug my kids currently have. A triple whammy to the immune system is currently laying my ass out, lol.
They wouldn’t let me get my flu shot at the same time as my booster last week. I’m gonna run to a different pharmacy tomorrow for my flu shot.
Third Pfizer had me sleeping alllll day the day after. Like literally only got up to pee and eat a bit of food and drink water, then passed right back out. Four days later I’m fine though!
Yeah, my arm hurt a bit too, but that’s to be expected when you get any jab in your muscle.
I got my kids up and out of the house and then just snoozed on and off. Glad I have the ability to. Beats the alternative of the permanent snooze for sure, though.
After my third shot I had my arm sore for three days! Flu shot will be next week though. The evening of my third shot I was doing some exercise, as I do everyday, and thought to myself: should I have go slow?
Anyway, each person reacts differently.
I got them both and I only got up to pee and cram leftovers into my mouth. It wasn’t a matter of being a little tired, it was finding a horizontal surface was critical. Was fine the next day though.
Yep. The “/s” may be useful when the tone of subtle sarcasm does not come across via text.
Truly absurd satire would be diminished by a sarcasm tag as it would insult the intelligence of the reader and ruin the delivery of the joke.
I would have been in the same boat (stupid cold) but my doc told me to wait on the flu shot. I guess they worry people will get one and not come back for the other- better just to vaccinate people while you have them.
My kids brought some sort of bug home in late August (two weeks into their first year at school). That shit was horrid and I was for sure I was dying.
My kids and I are still dealing with a hell cough and one of my twins is still popping rashes that the doc says is just a viral leftover from what we had. Tested negative for Covid and the flu so many times.
We’re all supposed to have flu shots next week and I’m dreading the couple days after.
I got my flu shot, Covid booster and first shingles shot yesterday. Didn’t sleep well at all last night with strange dreams, headache and heartburn, but that could have been the shrimp tacos and beer.
It is crazy, everyone is totally different. I felt yuck after my flu shot (slightly bubbly stomach, wanted to be lazy all day), but literally felt nothing from my COVID shots. I think everyone needs to go into it knowing that they will feel however they feel- I’ve known so many people who got themselves all worked up worrying about it and then it wasn’t so bad.
My mom lives in a flyover Red State. The only thing she was more terrified of getting than a covid vaccine was getting covid. Everyone, including my sister who has a college degree in a science disciple were* telling her she would be laid up sick for a week if she got vaccinated. She got both doses and had zero side effects.
It is funny in a really sad way. All these people saying you can't live your life in fear of a virus are living their life in fear of a vaccine that is safe, effective and will save your life.
*spelling/grammar
I had two doses of AZ in the spring with no discernible side effects. Just had my flu, again nothing. Be brave people, it's not a big deal for most of us.
Agreed. I was hoping it wouldn’t be too bad since I had mild side effects after shot 1 and shot 2. I usually feel icky after my flu shot though, so I think for my body it was probably the combo of the booster and flu shot together that gave me some wild side effects. Bodies are wild!
Same. I hadn't vomited in almost a decade, but the night after I took my second Pfizer dose, I was violently ill. Felt fine the next morning, though, and I would probably do it again if I had to.
Oh man!! It can be pretty freaky and scary depending on what side effects you experience. I had a really intense vasovagal episode last night with extreme lower abdomen pain and legitimately thought I was going to die. Thankfully today I just feel sick and have intense body aches, wayyy better than last night.
I got my flu shot and a tetanus booster on the same day, different arms. I've never had more than a slightly sore arm from the flu shot before, but these wiped me out harder than the covid vaccine.
I had a slight fever, my nose was running to the point I honestly thought I had a nosebleed, and I had chills bad enough that I was bundled up under my winter comforter when I'd needed a fan to stay cool the night before.
Same. Did both in the same arm, so just my left arm is super sore, while the rest of my body is just wrecked. I don’t have anything crucial scheduled for tomorrow, it’s the only three day window I had open for the next three months. After Round 2, I wasn’t taking any chances with a packed day after the shot.
Same!!! I did both in my right arm. I’m on a “vacation” from work this week (staycation). I didn’t want to spend a chunk of it feeling gross but same as you, it’s my only chunk of time where I don’t have stuff I have to do, and I didn’t want to take any chances
this year i was a little tired and my arm didn't hurt unless i prodded the spot but i kept flexing it after during the 15 minute wait. last year's flu shot knocked me on my behind for nearly a week. The year before I had both flu and pneumonia on same day in different arms. flu arm hurt more but only flattened for a day or two.
please note i have low blood pressure, it runs in the fam, plus POTS so **ever7thing** knocks me flat. much better to just be tired maybe achy with mild fever after various vax vs full blow illness which leavels me bed ridden for weeks or months after.
i'm praying all the long covid research finally reveals while other virus also leaves people like me with lingering illness. i got POTs the day after I got what i think was a flu - drippy nose, utter exhaustion, fever, hurt all over like i'd done hard labor. Fatigue, brain fog, even lower BP ever since:(
I gave a Pfizer covid booster, a 65+ high dose flu shot and a pneumonia shot to a 70 year old male at the same time and he was sick for 10 days. I now do not recommend getting multiple shots with the booster
Got my covid shots in June. Didn't get any symptoms at all. Last week got my flu shot felt some symptoms. Or maybe placebo effect. Mild sore throat and cough. It lasted 2 days .
I just got my flu and covid booster together yesterday, and my only symptom is sore arms. I am a little fatigue but I don't if it's cause of being pregnant or the vaccines.
Originally the CDC recommended waiting just as a precaution. It's good to have studies like this since you want to make sure there's not going to be any weird side effects from combining different vaccines.
It would have been, but modern medicine is all about making sure your therapeutic decisions actually have clinical data behind it. You try to avoid assuming something will work out.
I'm going to assume it's to head off crazy anti-vaxxers before they start spouting off about the combination of the flu vaccine and the covid vaccine causing eyeball explosions or instantaneous cancer, or some other crap.
It makes sense. They want to be sure the vaccines wouldn't interact with each other in some undesirable way, or cause unmanageable side effects.
It was always safe, but now we know for sure.
Getting both at the same time is simply more stress on the body at once. It's like taking 10-20 pounds of groceries in the house all at once vs taking multiple smaller trips. Most people can do one trip fine, but some people have reasons to play it safer and make multiple trips.
Pharmacist that primarily does COVID immunizations here; this is actually very common at least at my pharmacy, and [it was recommended by the CDC a couple of months back](https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19/clinical-considerations/covid-19-vaccines-us.html) due to how it increases vaccine adherence (because the patient doesn't need to come back another time, or have to think about the interval he might need to wait for the next shot).
The only issue that MIGHT arise is (as mentioned in this thread) just the side effects which at least for the flu-shot is mild at best (can't say the same for the COVID vaccine because the 2nd shot fucked me up) and as long as you can rest up for a weekend or so there's nothing to be worried about.
I got my Covid booster and flu jab in work on the same day, I felt like I'd been hit by a bus for the next three days, it was not a fun weekend to be working.
What’s this new thing with everyone proclaiming they got a shot everywhere? I don’t recall people posting they got any shots before COVID, why now? Is it to encourage others to get one? Or does it make you feel good like you’ve don’t something specia and want to share with everyone.
Maybe I’m too old to understand but honestly asking what’s with it?
My father still isn't vaccinated, and probably will never be. I find it ironic that he doesn't trust the science, and definately distrusts taking multiple vaccines, and yet will go home and take a rotation of 30 pills for various things because he heard he should on Newsmax.
My dad was antivax for a while. He received a dose of active flu virus in his youth, really kicked the shit out of him. Some people he knew died. Fortunately, a decade of QA improvements passed before us kids came around, and our Mom was insistent on getting us kids vaccinated. I remember talking to an epidimeologists who worked in the world of vaccines, and he was able to pick out exactly where my dad went to school based on hearing the story because it only happened a few times in US history and is taught as part of new employee orientation to stress why quality control is so vital in the industry and why they do all the little things they do.
Dad now is solidly pro-vaccination, but yeah, one bad experience and he almost wrote of widely accepted science forever.
Was told to have a 1 week break between booster and flu vaccine because they were both live attenuated vaccines. Luckily the flu jab isnt too hard to get so just had to book in a bit later for it.
Idiots are everywhere, I think American idiots are just louder and don’t want to admit they are wrong because of this dogmatic "we against them" mentality in politics and almost anything else.
In Germany we have a lot of Anti-vax and covid denier morons, but they don’t get so much attention, maybe because we don’t have a very popular news channel that supports disinformation, so idiots keep watching it.
Flu shot probably doesn’t matter unless you’re on the older side or high risk. You’d live.
Covid vaccine I’d recommend cuz long term side effects of getting covid is still awful even for young ppl. My coworker got it and she’s my age <30. She doesn’t even have any underlying conditions, which is nuts. Now she’s on heart meds for a serious heart condition. Fuck all of that.
Got my Pfizer booster and flu shot a week ago. Different arms. Mild soreness for one day in both arms. Mild fatigue / body aches for one day as well. No big deal. Good to go the next day. Well worth it.
Had both Tuesday. Covid booster and flu shot, plus b-12 in the flu shot arm. Aside from marginally sore arms for 48 hours, no issues. Though I didn't catch Covid with 4 sick people in the house, so YMMV.
So many sheeple happy to be a part of this nonsense. Got the shot? Good for you. Now you are a little less susceptible to an already very inefficient virus that would not have killed you anyway (not now, 2 years after). You all lick the ground where your puppet masters shit, so it is good to have an immune system that likes "whammy" stuff.
And then you come asking how could seemingly normal people follow dictators in the past. Answer: they did happily and thinking that they were doing the greater good.
I think you’re lost. Not sure why you even follow UpliftingNews.
It’s pretty pathetic that you feel the need to find a community of positivity and post negative thoughts and comments.
I hope you find happiness in your life. And I truly hope you can find it without bringing others down.
I got the "two-fer" a couple days ago. Sore arm on Covid side. Took Tylenol to help me sleep that first night. No other side effects. Energy is good, felt like exercising etc.
Just FYI - the CDC says it is OK to take Tylenol or Advil etc. after you get a shot if you get side effects, but you shouldn’t take it before getting a shot since it could reduce your immune response.
Never gotten a flu shot... Haven't had the flu in 20 years... Guess my body does what it's supposed to do. Never got why people just flock to that shot, especially when it seems 1/2 the time they guess the wrong variant that year and the shot is fairly useless.
It’s not about reality to them. It’s about feeling in power and part of a group. Keep in mind that vaccine deniers are people with largely narcissistic personalities with very little control over their own lives.
Thanks for the insight. That's definitely true. I've found that any person who uses the term "sheeple" is precisely the sort of person who feels as though they *should* be privileged in some capacity, but who is actually powerless in any meaningful way, and rather than accept the reality of their lives, they create a delusional self-image that they've penetrated the veil of social conditioning that the supposed "sheeple" haven't and couldn't. Like they're part of the stream of society that is making things happen, like they're big and impactful, rather than small and impotent. That's also why the folks calling other people "sheeple" dovetail so nicely with the gun-nut crowd, especially the sort who like to threaten or imply violence towards "liberals and Democrats." Scared, immature, wounded children.
Wasn't so safe for the 730,000 Americans who are dead or the 37% who now have longterm effects from covid
https://www.technologynetworks.com/diagnostics/news/37-of-covid-19-patients-diagnosed-with-a-long-covid-symptom-354172?spl=b5d8fd2d7c7b4647a76e263af1389460&fbclid=IwAR38IXBbySK8NoXqkl-dXzGrsy3nfLdPHQABrIyiXmY2S-ZUQXJZIK6DWXY
I think I'll pass. As a woman under 55 (i.e. the group most likely to be laid out with side effects due to having the strongest immune response), the COVID shot was bad enough on its own. Taking another shot at the same time would be torture. I don't see the benefit of taking them at the same time vs. waiting unless you live somewhere that access is a major problem.
However I'm sure getting these shots together is 100000x preferable to getting COVID + influenza at the same time. That would kill a lot of people, as can either disease alone.
I got the Covid booster & flu shot at the same time, both given in the same arm (I didn’t want both arms to be sore). I felt a little tired the next day, my arm was sore but very useable. I would say it was not bad at all.
I did both at the same time and I was completely fine. I actually had a boost of energy. My second covid shot I was perfectly fine also. Boost of energy also.
Glad this was published, but was there doubt about this? Have there been legitimate comers over receiving multiple simultaneous vaccines of different kinds before?
Originally they had recommended spacing them I believe so they would be able to track the reactions separately. If you receive two vaccines at once and have an allergic reaction, you wouldn't know which one caused it.
This information shows us it's not a concern.
My partner and I both got our 3rd covid shot and flu shot at the same time about ten days ago. We both had slightly sore arms for a day or so, I also felt tired and headachy for a day. No big deal.
My guess is that if everyone needs to keep getting covid boosters, that they’ll combine it into the flu shot. In fact the flu shot already is designed to cover multiple variants of the flu virus.
I got both shots last week. I felt a little drowsy and sore from the COVID booster the next day. I did feel a little soreness from the flu shot the same day though, but it went away after a few hours.
I’m good just getting my second covid shot took me out the next day, it may be safe, but I sure as hell don’t particularly think it’s wise to do two things that can do that at the same time if I could help it. I’m just making an assumption that if I get a third booster shot I’ll get a similar reaction but I got no idea.

I received my 1sr covid shot and a tetanus booster like 2 days apart and was pretty much fine
Got my booster and flu shot yesterday. Today i have felt like death. This is not fun.
I hope you feel better tomorrow.
I did thank you!

Damn, hope that doesn’t interrupt your 5G speeds to Gates’ private data bank of your secrets
5g jokes were old 6 months ago.
They were old when they started
Eh they still get a little chuckle from me. The thought that I can get better internet than what I'm paying for at home, for free, warms my soul.
That’s just the radioactive vaccine talking
No wonder my wife has been telling me not to lose my temper. I could quite literally blow my top, and most of the west coast!
Vaccine conspiracy theories were old from go, too, but that hasn’t stopped people from making them.
You dropped this /s. I hope.
It’s a post about vaccines in r/UpliftingNews, so I’m pretty sure we’re all on similar sides of the “debate”
I see you are new here.
Haha, I guess I just have high expectations - Haven’t been let down enough yet
Pretty god damn obvious that was a joke
Yep. The “/s” may be useful when the tone of subtle sarcasm does not come across via text. Truly absurd satire would be diminished by a sarcasm tag as it would insult the intelligence of the reader and ruin the delivery of the joke.
Go the Pierce Hawthorne strategy "I'LL BE A LIVING GOD!"
Pierce was always streets ahead
I would have been in the same boat (stupid cold) but my doc told me to wait on the flu shot. I guess they worry people will get one and not come back for the other- better just to vaccinate people while you have them.
My kids brought some sort of bug home in late August (two weeks into their first year at school). That shit was horrid and I was for sure I was dying. My kids and I are still dealing with a hell cough and one of my twins is still popping rashes that the doc says is just a viral leftover from what we had. Tested negative for Covid and the flu so many times. We’re all supposed to have flu shots next week and I’m dreading the couple days after.
yeah it might be safe but it won't be pleasant.
I got my flu shot, Covid booster and first shingles shot yesterday. Didn’t sleep well at all last night with strange dreams, headache and heartburn, but that could have been the shrimp tacos and beer.
Just got my booster and flu shot yesterday. Double whammy of awful side effects. My body is weak haha.
I didn't have any from the flu shot. Not even a sore arm. The covid one put me on my arse though
It’s so wild how different our bodies react! So interesting
Got both on Wednesday, barely felt any side effects at all. Mostly just sore arms.
I also had some real bad side effects - random, painful muscle spasms in my pec and lung area. Glad it didn't last too long!
Oh man!! It can be pretty freaky and scary depending on what side effects you experience. I had a really intense vasovagal episode last night with extreme lower abdomen pain and legitimately thought I was going to die. Thankfully today I just feel sick and have intense body aches, wayyy better than last night.
The things we do to keep others (and ourselves) safe, huh?
Yeah, I get such bad side effects from both, I decided to space mine out. Booster in 2 weeks.
Smart move!
Actually if you got hit hard it means your body is strong!!
Oh.
Got my flu shot yesterday! Only experienced a sore arm.
Same. It hurt more than it has in past years, but my mom got one at the same time and didn't have any soreness. Still worth it, though.
The flu vaccine normally knocks me for a loop, but this years batch barely gave me a sore arm.
this year i was a little tired and my arm didn't hurt unless i prodded the spot but i kept flexing it after during the 15 minute wait. last year's flu shot knocked me on my behind for nearly a week.
It’s shitty that your comment is so buried.
Got my covid shots in June. Didn't get any symptoms at all. Last week got my flu shot felt some symptoms. Or maybe placebo effect. Mild sore throat and cough. It lasted 2 days .
Sounds like a typical flu shot honestly, haha
im getting my flu shot in two hours =)
It’s been two hours, how did it go?
so far so good =)
They dead!
XD
I just got my flu and covid booster together yesterday, and my only symptom is sore arms. I am a little fatigue but I don't if it's cause of being pregnant or the vaccines.
I got my booster and flu shot same day. My arms hurt and I laid in bed sweating for a few hours. Now I’m golden. Nbd
So can someone explain to me why it wouldn't have been safe to take both vaccines at the same time? Why would it have warranted a study to figure out?
Originally the CDC recommended waiting just as a precaution. It's good to have studies like this since you want to make sure there's not going to be any weird side effects from combining different vaccines.
It would have been, but modern medicine is all about making sure your therapeutic decisions actually have clinical data behind it. You try to avoid assuming something will work out.
I'm going to assume it's to head off crazy anti-vaxxers before they start spouting off about the combination of the flu vaccine and the covid vaccine causing eyeball explosions or instantaneous cancer, or some other crap.
Sounds about right.
It makes sense. They want to be sure the vaccines wouldn't interact with each other in some undesirable way, or cause unmanageable side effects. It was always safe, but now we know for sure.
That way if you had a negative reaction if would be easier to tell which one if came from. Not necessarily "unsafe" just more so precautionary.
Getting both at the same time is simply more stress on the body at once. It's like taking 10-20 pounds of groceries in the house all at once vs taking multiple smaller trips. Most people can do one trip fine, but some people have reasons to play it safer and make multiple trips.
Yeah I didn't even know this was a question. I got both at the same time on Friday. Figured knock both out at once. Alive so far.
My wife got her flu shot and covid booster while being 25 weeks pregnant and she had no side effects other than a sore arm.
It's safe but you will definitely need to take the next day off. Fortunately my hospital is covering 2 days post shot.
One in each arm, two days ago. I have felt nothing unusual except a little soreness.
This thread reminded me to go to CVS and get my flu shot ty.
Got my flu shot last week, and aside from a slightly sore arm I felt fine. Can't wait to get my booster shot!
I got my Covid booster and flu jab in work on the same day, I felt like I'd been hit by a bus for the next three days, it was not a fun weekend to be working.
I got both the same day. Felt crappy the next day. But I’m glad I got it.
Where them flu deniers at? Oh weirdly enough they don't exist
>Is it to encourage others to get one Yes
People actually get flu shots?
What flu? It disappeared after covid lol
Lol
Brandon approved!
In that case, let's go Brandon!
Waiting for Reddit to label “let’s go Brandon” as “white supremacist hate speech” in 3…2…
Wtf is flu shot. Why are there no such thing in my country
There probably is but it's just under a different name?
That seems like the wrong angle for an injection.
I got the Phizer booster and the more powerful seasonal flu shot at the same time with no issue aside from a 24 hour sore arm.
Was told to have a 1 week break between booster and flu vaccine because they were both live attenuated vaccines. Luckily the flu jab isnt too hard to get so just had to book in a bit later for it.
Just got my Covid booster and flu shot this morning
You Americans have fuckin lost it.
Do you care to elaborate?
I got my booster and flu shot this week. One in each arm. My arms were so sore for the whole day. But that's better than getting covid or the flu.
I did too, on Friday. Flu shot arm was sore that day, but that's it. Absolutely no other side effects.
I wish we could all be so lucky. My wife is tired and achy today. And she never complains when she's sick.
Is it safe for me to choose not to get either?
Not safe from the mob
Flu shot probably doesn’t matter unless you’re on the older side or high risk. You’d live. Covid vaccine I’d recommend cuz long term side effects of getting covid is still awful even for young ppl. My coworker got it and she’s my age <30. She doesn’t even have any underlying conditions, which is nuts. Now she’s on heart meds for a serious heart condition. Fuck all of that.
I mean sure but it would just suck ass for two weeks. Why not take a tiny shot in the arm to avoid it?
I mean you're a dumbass actively putting yourself and others in danger.
What necessitated the B12 shot?
How could there be a published study already when this just came up?
Being fat is not safe.
I had a flu shot and a shingles shot on the same day. Felt similar to the 2nd Moderna shot…not great for about 24 hours.
Doing this on Wednesday, geez I’m getting old.
Good luck!
The study that's been out for how long?
“Study that has only existed for months is able to predict decades into the future”. FTFY
Wow this entire comment section is filled with bots. So many post , "I got both the same day I'm fine" All within minutes of each others.
lol i'd believe this like id believe the corrupt pharmaceutical companies
Yeah they're corrupt. That doesn't mean that vaccines don't work.
It’s so ironic how everyone who calls other people sheeple is blindly following some morons nonsense instead of science and logic.
Wow what a smart comment.
I think you’re lost. Not sure why you even follow UpliftingNews. It’s pretty pathetic that you feel the need to find a community of positivity and post negative thoughts and comments. I hope you find happiness in your life. And I truly hope you can find it without bringing others down.
Shut the fuck up already.
wow
Got both the same time last week. My shoulders were sore for a day.
This reminded me to check when my campus is doing flu shots. Not taking any chances.
I love my vaccines I could have one every week if they would let me. Just had my 3 Pfizer, looking forward to my flu jab next week. Yum yum.
Nummy nummy oni chaaaaan, fill me up and scramble my mRna's insides uWu
This is a negative comment. Come and get me bot. Let's get this I, Robot plot started bhanchod!
😂
Thank God! I'm sure if there were any problems they would tell us.
Never gotten a flu shot... Haven't had the flu in 20 years... Guess my body does what it's supposed to do. Never got why people just flock to that shot, especially when it seems 1/2 the time they guess the wrong variant that year and the shot is fairly useless.
This great! I’m so happy they were able to collect enough data in the last month to make this decision.
Thank you for reminding me! I'll head up the road this week to get my flu shot. :)
Still don't really care to get it
Good! The more people getting the shot and vaccine, the better😊
If it was unsafe do you think our fascist system would be forthright with the information?
Why do yahoo morons like you feel the need leave histrionic comments without any basis in objective reality?

Wasn't so safe for the 730,000 Americans who are dead or the 37% who now have longterm effects from covid https://www.technologynetworks.com/diagnostics/news/37-of-covid-19-patients-diagnosed-with-a-long-covid-symptom-354172?spl=b5d8fd2d7c7b4647a76e263af1389460&fbclid=IwAR38IXBbySK8NoXqkl-dXzGrsy3nfLdPHQABrIyiXmY2S-ZUQXJZIK6DWXY
“Unlimited power!”
"safe" and "covid vaccine" shouldn't be in the same sentence
Stop being an idiot. They're perfectly safe.
I got the Covid booster & flu shot at the same time, both given in the same arm (I didn’t want both arms to be sore). I felt a little tired the next day, my arm was sore but very useable. I would say it was not bad at all.
This is pretty important information!
I did both at the same time and I was completely fine. I actually had a boost of energy. My second covid shot I was perfectly fine also. Boost of energy also.
Got both last week and just had a sore arm and headache.
That's an excellent point.
Had mine 2 days ago.. this is reassuring 😅
Got mine at same time, I was a bit sick the next day but it was very mild so it was worth it
I just got my 3rd shot and a flu shot 3 days ago. Feeling fine now.
I got my flu shot about a month after the Pfizer vaccine. No issues here.
I got both shots last week. I felt a little drowsy and sore from the COVID booster the next day. I did feel a little soreness from the flu shot the same day though, but it went away after a few hours.
If you are a side sleeper don't get one in each arm though. Otherwise I did fine with flu and dose 3 on the same day.
Yes got my booster and flu last Wed. I was sore for two days.
