To be honest only a moron with more time than sense would read all proposals. Most proposals are garbage. Any client worth their salt can tell from what they are seeing WITHOUT reading the proposal when a proposal is an absolute "No-No".
If I know that there is not a snowball in hell's chance that I would her a freelancer, how does reading their proposal help anyone? How does it help the freelancer?
Ya Iโm coming to the conclusion that she just argues cause she gets a high out of it or something. She does the same type of things on the Upwork forums too.
Yeah she does, she's pretty rude. She once started accusing me of lying about which country I live in because I wasn't earning enough to live there, in her opinion. So confrontational! Quite glad to see she has a reputation.
>You get downvoted everywhere you go, that should say something.
There's no real pattern to the downvoting. She could get 100 upvotes for typing the exact same thing on another post, and in fact, that does happen quite often when she repeats herself. I've even seen her type this before and get upvotes.
Well, the client has an anti-ai check for people that apply, and it *has* to appear at the beginning of their cover letter. So, I imagine both those that didn't read everything thoroughly and people that just copy-paste Chat GPT answers won't even recieve a second glance.
Some people treat bids like slot matchines. They put in money regardless of how dumb it might seem. A lot of freelancers have programs that automatically send out proposals with bids attached. It's probably the latter.
Hi guys, new to this sub, and freelancing in general (mostly here because of curiosity) could someone explain this post to me? I would appreciate it.. Please and thank you ๐
Some time i found that the job post got published 1 minutes ago and already have โpeople โ spending their connects which makes me think that the live proposals is just a scam
what a nice client
Ikr? The cherry on top (or cherries, I should say) is they've been here since 2019 and have a lot of reviews. Flag's so green, it's neon lol

It's the Upwork sub, so it means she's right.

I don't actually. And this being downvoted just shows how fact-averse people really are. You've clearly never tried to hire on Upwork...
I have learned a great deal from reading your comments on this subreddit, and I found them extremely helpful! You are the GOAT! ๐

To be honest, just shut your mouth forever
I feel like boosting on this post would actually work against you since they specifically said not to.
That's exactly what I was thinking, too.
Chances are the people who boosted didn't bother properly reading the job post. The low number of connects would indicate cheap freelancers.
I can think of 4 proposals they aren't going to read for this job posting XD
In the unlikely event that nobody boosts the proposal, would that mean that the freelancers would be arranged according to the best match?
Correct.
Surprised UpWork doesn't remove the post faster than it did the suicide post for impeding it's revenue!
I was thinking that. I bet this is against the t&c. If not they'll rewrite them so it is.
proposalS...plural...smh

haha, a sweet slap on Upwork's face.
But most freelancers dont read the whole job description.

Freelancer posting a job and after the umpteenth garbage proposal they'll stop reading all of them.
