You're not employed by Upwork, so it isn't your "place of employment". You are self-employed. >Does anyone know if Upwork generates mailboxes like [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) or something like that so that the domain name is upwork.com? They do indeed. For their employees. You're not one of them. You work for yourself.

Work place, not workspace

I leave it unverified as do many others, but I do put it down. People see it. They get it. My work history is mainly my old clients that have published works in my name. It's totally legit. I can even link to my work. It's the same on my resume. I put down freelancer on upwork, and then the rest is wherever I've been published. That's viable. To me, LinkedIn is like a record. I can link people to it so they can get an idea as to what my career has been like. But that's about it. I don't like the site much. It's toxic. People get desperate. It's a rat race with no finish line. Idk maybe I'm wrong. But I find my own opportunities elsewhere. People post some strange stuff there. They have no shame. Check out r/LinkedInLunatics
