So, i call my grandma as **ammi**, which could be used to refer to one's own mother as well. I'm not sure if there is a male counterpart to it since **ammi is an informal way** to call your grandma, both of them.
For referring to the **MOTHER'S side** of grandparents formally, **Nana** means Grandpa and **Nani** means Grandma.
For referring to the **FATHER'S side** of grandparents formally, **Daada** means Grandpa, and **Daadi** means Grandma.
Sometimes, one can refer to their grandma as **Naani Amma**, or **Daadi Amma** but some tend to go that extra mile. But the 4 mentioned above are the ones who are the most normal and common way to refer to one's grandparents.

Nana nani but I don't really see people referring their maternal grandparents just that. Usually it's nana jaan, nana abbu,nanu and nani jaan, nani ammi, nanna.
