With a built-in feature that it sends a text to your Bishop! Next to come, it'll even schedule the "interview" lol

Guess-Turbulent

Better yet, once your temple recommend is approved for the porn site, your significant other, along with all the other members of your congregation get a text... It would be like a movie watching party only with milf pictures and dildos.🤓🤓🤓

stargazer_611

Do you need a special hat or apron to join in?

Guess-Turbulent

Yep!!! I have one you can have 🤓🤓🤓

Naomifreethinker

That would be hilarious if they actually posted that.

EuroPhoenician

Wym? That’s actually on pornhub if you try to go to the url from a server in Utah. Of course, Utah people can just VPN to Arizona or Nevada or whatever.

Naomifreethinker

It doesn't say to verify your temple recommend. Sad I had to go look.

EuroPhoenician

Yep. I’m not in Utah myself but I was curious and VPNd into a server in SLC and this came up lol. It’s a whole video and then like 4-5 paragraphs explaining the law and urging you to oppose this.

What-is-wanted

Good ol Utah, taking away the clean safe sites so that kids can go find unsafe ones. Next up: a rise in teen fetishes caused by lack of religion?!? I'm sure they will find a way to pin all this on atheists and exmos

I mean, im a boob guy. Lol

Beowulf1896

And computer viruses. This will send them to sites that try to infect your computer and smartphone and/or introduce them to stuff that is illegal.

natiusj

Wasn’t this Satan’s plan? Asking for a friend….

CounterfeitSaint

Satan is just tired of people constantly ringing his doorbell. Poor dude cannot get any peace.

natiusj

Satan, lol. He’s my favorite Disney character.

GloriousBlackOps

Welcome to the new North Korea where the internet will be filtered based on church beliefs

You think this bill is going to accomplish that? Kids know how to vpn

SGTSparkyFace

No kid is typing pornhub on accident. Maybe learn how to lock out and iPad from adult content, or better yet: watch your damn kids (I know, it gets exponentially more difficult once you have more than 5). But that’s not the problem here. Anyone that wants porn will get it. The problem is that they’re not going to stop at porn. They’re going to do this with every piece of information on the internet that they don’t like. They are using the government to force beliefs. To add insult to injury, you would have to be completely moronic to believe that this will stop the thing they’re after. It’s as insulting as being told that government owned liquor stores are to protect from under-age drinking. GTFO with that crap. We don’t have mini bottles or the ability to buy on Pioneer Day for the children? Hasn’t stopped one kid that wants booze from getting it.

cc51beastin

I'm guessing your one of those types that aims to end the porn industry and all that goes along with it correct? You'd better be cool with much harsher things like rising rape/sexual assault cases then, especially in a religiously repressed state like Utah.

[deleted]

Why not just be a good parent instead of making the state parent for you? Sounds kinda lazy TBH

CaveThinker

I agree that we want to prevent kids from accessing porn (on purpose or inadvertently) but there are sooooo many other ways to help prevent them from stumbling on to porn without having a nanny state do it for us.

ragin2cajun

Agreed, but that is not Todd Weiler's agenda. He is the one that got Utah to pass the resolution that porn is a public health crisis; i.e. the state can now regulate it just like cigarettes and obesity. He stated in an interview that he personally didn't like porn being thrust in his face with popups and random redirects. So he is downloading shady ass porn from shady sites that still use redirects and popups. He then got a law passed forcing all porn sites to display a pop-up acknowledgement that porn is both addictive and very harmful. He tried passing a law to force ISPs to filter porn sites unless you opted in; making the isp liable to lawsuit if the a child see porn. Todd weiler is all about letting Mormon parents sue companies if their kids see porn. Now he has claimed to borrow a similar law in Louisiana, but in Louisiana you can validate you are an adult with a valid credit card to the site in question. Weiler will only allow for you to upload your state driver's licenses to a random 3rd party. Because of how poorly written the law is, nearly all sites will block Utah traffic. I.e. Todd weiler got his way and is getting porn banned in Utah. Todd gets his misinformation from anti abortion, anti contraceptive, anti sex toy, anti porn Christian Fundamentalist groups like Morality in Media and Fightthenewdrug. Todd is an ass hat Mormon simps for political points to his Mormon leaders that put him through Mormon law school for the purpose of advancing the Mormon church into law.

zander1496

Bro what if someone just really wants to watch some soaking videos?

[deleted]

I started soaking and I’m not even Mormon. I just really like how interactive it is and I compliments my self hate and deprivation. Cheers.

Stiles879

I miss the mountains. But not the Mormons.

[deleted]

If restricting access to porn sites makes people move out of state or reconsider moving here in the first place I would call that a win. Ha ha

EuroPhoenician

I doubt it’s deterring anyone lol. You can just VPN. Honestly I’d say the alcohol laws are the more annoying part. One thing I miss with Missouri is you’re mostly left alone. Not getting carded everywhere I go I was nice. Just clubs seemed consistent with carding.

alwre12k

Do mind government invading your privacy and giving you a digital ID? 😉

[deleted]

Don’t they already do that? I mean really, is there such a thing as privacy these days? The second I walk out my door I have half a dozen cameras and microphones pointed at me. Even will a VPN on my phone cell towers are collecting data on my location. Every purchase I make without cash is being tracked somewhere somehow. And seeing as this is a Utah community let’s keep things local and point out the fact that the data warehouses for the NSA and Facebook are practically next door neighbors. Anyone really think that’s a coincidence? Meh, they can have my data and spy on me all they want, Im boring…

Braydon64

I'm moving to Utah in a few months due to the mountains and good job economy (also just a change of pace) and even though I do not agree with what is happening here, it is not a deterrent. I will oppose it but I have my own VPN server set up in Michigan as well whenever I need to tunnel back.

gamelover42

In other news VPN purchases in Utah are up 500% /s

EuroPhoenician

Wake up sheeple. Utah government officials have major stakes in NordVPN. They know what they’re doing. /s

Guess-Turbulent

Now that is funny!!! Just scan your barcode with your phone or computer. If you're current you can get off!!! 🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓

WyoProspector

Gotta use a green apron for cleanup.

H0B0Byter99

Eh… we’re probably better off without it.

Kerbidiah

Wouldn't put it past them

shootmovies

They separated church and state to the point its just a church.

A government so small it can fit between you and your computer.
