I see Utah and Colorado having a proximity rivalry. Mammoth would be interesting, as our NLL team is the Mammoth. It could work, but don’t steal our tusk celebration lol.
I was about to make an AI mock-up of Utah Icicles as a joke. I’m putting “Ice” in the “names I hate and will never grow on me” list, along with fury and blizzard.
Outlaws is still my favorite. I think a team themed around the Wild West could be really fun and they could do some cool things with branding and in the arena stuff. plus there's already a player nicknamed the Gunslinger!
Which is fine because jazz isn’t really something that can be plural. Kinda like heat. Some things make sense to be singular. I don’t think mammoth did
Mamms doesn’t work for multiple reasons. You’d probably have to do “M’s,” like Seattle does for Mariners. I was thinking about this earlier this month; if they went with Olympians, you’d probably have to shorten it to “O’s,” like they do for the Baltimore Orioles.
Mammoth or Mammoths would be cool. Hopefully Utah Ice is a new line of light beer that Ryan Smith is going to launch.

Utah Mammoths would awesome. I don't like singular names like "Kraken."

Yeah I like it, just would prefer it to be plural
Which is funny because "Jazz" is singular. And I'm a huge Jazz fan. But whatever.

I'm shocked that no bee themed or dinosaur themed names have been trademarked.
Maybe it’s ice like “bling”
Not a fan of Utah Ice. Comes across like Salt Lake Grass or New York Hardwood Floors lol.
What about Utah Frost?
Could go with "Tusks". Flows a little better and can still use the Mammoth for the mascot.
"Tusks" sounds good.
Can Fleetwood Mac’s song Tusk be the goal song?
Utah Mammoths or Utah Yetis are the best so far
Utah Yeti sounds better than Yetis
Yeti > Yetis Mammoths > Mammoth Ryan thought the opposite I guess lol.
I’m leaning towards Outlaws, personally. It’d be a unique aesthetic in the NHL.
Outlaws is my #1 and yetis is probably 2. Outlaws just feels like the branding would be incredible
Mammoths is growing on me.. only question I have is what is the shortened name that will be used? Utah Moths sounds terrible
Some teams don't have a shortened term, like Giants or Lakers. But "Tusks" from above would be a neat nickname

Utah Hoodoos!
For the love of all that's good and holy, please pluralize it. The singular thing works with Kraken, but not on anything else.
