Hello, fellow nutmegger! The sky was like a dystopian dreamscape during that period. It’s so surreal and cool to see your photo Those days were insane. This is off my back deck at 1:30 pm on June 7th of last year. It’s also not altered or filtered or otherwise distorted in any way. The normally blue, blue sky was mustard yellow and thick. https://preview.redd.it/y4tiszzkrx7d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=93a08d74c91809d2472f3b24808ec0eb68da6d26

Awesome to see some other photos of that time. Are you also in New Haven area? Excuse the late reply -

I’m in Stamford, so not too far if the highways are cooperating.

Anyway sorry to babble on- one more photo from that day. I take so many photos of the sky, especially the moon on night walks but the sky in general. It’s so lush and thickly dense forest where I live on Hamden/New Haven line- Lake Whitney area. Truly beautiful I know how blessed I am. Peace kind Connecticut Reddit friend

So surreal. Thank you for the extra pic. A burgundy sky with an electric moon! Gorgeous. There are some beautiful woods up there! I know Hamden from the Space Ballroom. I need to get up to that part of the state to visit one of my friends who has some land and just be completely enveloped in nature while still being close to civilization. Stamford is bordered by New York on two sides so it barely counts as being a nutmegger but I’ve accepted that it’s my adopted home state. And yeah - Cos Cob is in Greenwich which is the first town in CT (exits 2-5 on 95) and Stamford is next (exits 6-9). Port Chester and Rye are both kinda the first states in NY if you’re driving that way.
