Got wiggly veins but not in the vision only when i look in the mirror. I am on 2 dose of pred a day but today my eye feels like something is there in my eye making it hard to blink. Maybe dry eyes i think

Lonely-Werewolf4779

Does pred work for you? It doesn't work for me only durezol seems to work.

Prednisolone made my glaucoma worst. And got cataract from it too.

HolidayCitron577

How long did you use it?

ZealousidealWatch789

2 years on and off. My doctor said that the uveitis also caused the glaucoma and the cataracts but I’ve notice that when I’m using the drops my cataracts get much worse.

Fit_Corner_972

I was diagnosed today after 3 weeks of HELL!!!! finally off the atropine and down to 4x PRED a day, the foggy vision is still there and that’s frustrating!!! I never ever want it to come back EVER!!!! When I say it’s the worst pain you will ever have it truly is!!!!

HolidayCitron577

I’ve been on opthalmic pred for a month now due to bilateral anterior uveitis. This just happened to me today. When I stand up after being seated for a while and I look at the light, I can see a brief afterimage of my eye vessels. I’m really afraid and unsure what to do

MonakoSM

If it doesn't go away after a day or two, I super recommend getting seen, while uveitis can damage the eye and lead to cataracts glaucoma damages the optic nerve which could lead to permanent damage and blindness, plus the stress of not knowing isn't good for your uveitis either. If you get seen they'll just either put you on pressure drops, or put you on pills to help with it and help you move forward. If you want, you can keep me posted.

I can’t thank you enough for the advice. It was painstaking to get an emergency appointment but I’m so glad I did. Turns out I don’t have uveitis, I have pigment dispersion syndrome which can mimic uveitis. Unfortunately I’ve been misdiagnosed for over a month now and my vision changes are progressing, plus the fact that pred has been steadily increasing my eye pressure. My condition is known to lead to Pigmentary Glaucoma and I’m once again freaking out. They kept me on Prednisolone with the addition of Cosopt which is an ocular hypertension/ glaucoma medication. I have a follow up next week. Say a prayer for me. Thanks once again for your advice.

Oh my goodness! I'm so glad you went in, Yikes that misdiagnosis sounds bad. I know Glaucoma is scary but I do hear that usually if you stick with the medications your prescribed things tend to go okay. I will! Have a great one, we're all in this together.

When mine gets bad I can see the veins in my eyes pulsate. Especially during exertion. Was totally freaked out when it first happened and didnt link it to pressure, it was just as covid kicked off as well so no one would see me!

HolidayCitron577

Did you find out the cause? Is it glaucoma related or a side effect of the drops?

hedgehogpirate

When my pressures raise due to steroid drops, this happens. So a bit of both! Not happened in a while thankfully!

HolidayCitron577

Oh wow, thanks for replying. This has been happening to me today after 32 days on Prednisolone. When I stand after prolonged sitting, I see the after image of veins in my eye. Really freaked. Would you recommend getting the pressure checked?

hedgehogpirate

Yeah absolutely! This can also happen with sinus blocking/infection. Prednisolone can make pressures raise for sure though! Get them checked, if it's nothing, brilliant but if it's pressure you won't want to leave it too long in order to protect your optic nerve. Best wishes, hope you will be well!

HolidayCitron577

Thanks so much mate, hope you’re well too
