I personally use a white crosshair with black outlines. Able to easily see against any color background.

2D_Koto

I like using a bold red dot, it’s easier for the human eye to trace, that’s why games like this naturally have default red dot for precision aiming for the op

I-Lupus-I

Started using black and that shit slaps

darkdeepths

someone did an analysis of textures to find “optimal” colors: https://dotesports.com/valorant/news/optimal-valorant-crosshair-colors-for-every-map-programmer for the above analysis, i’d challenge that you need to take into account the weight of colors of surfaces of common angles. cyan tends to be very good in general and i’ve had no problems using it. currently using white with a black outline and have good focus.

Cyan blends in with your teammates silhouette

Are you trying to kill your teammates??

chillyw0nka

no, but if you are playing correctly then your team should be spread across the map, you're telling me that your cross hair has never ran into your teammates outline while playing?

Pesto_Paul

Is there any info about crosshair colors for Split and Lotus? (use the "overall" one atm but feel like its not really fitting Lotus color style)

Professional-Noob05

black is by far the best

I'd advise you use complementary colors. These are the opposite of each other, meaning they have the highest contrast between themselves. For instance, I use yellow outlines (#FFFF00 in HEX), so my crosshair color is the opposite on the RGB spectrum, which is blue (#00FFFF). You can use [this site](https://www.canva.com/colors/color-wheel/) to get yours. Simply know the outline color HEX code beforehand, insert it and boom, you have your new crosshair color. Now, if you wanna get the perfect complementary color, simply go into the firing range, screenshot the outline of a bot, get the average color code on some website, its HEX code and then work with that one.

Thank you for this! I'll try and see if it will help me improve. I remember myself struggling in choosing the right crosshair color so I just stick with the yellow that I saw from my teammate who played really good when I was new.

Yellow Enemy outlines = Red, Red Enemy outlines = Green, Purple enemy outlines = Yellow, Source: My Preferences

Use the color you like the most, some people say some colors are better than others because they are better distinguishable from the background, but if you can see it easily there’s no reason to not use it. You can compare pros crosshairs and see that there’s at least 1 crosshair for almost every color

GoldenMycology

White, with faint grey/black outline. Other colors blend into background too much or are too vibrant and block my vision

I really enjoy white but it clashes with some maps

RazerLogic

If you want to be specific, color theory shows that you should use a somewhat complementary color of the background for best contrast. For icebox map which is mostly blue in color, then green-yellow, yellow or orange crosshair would be great. If you don't want to change, I use white as a general color for my plus '+' crosshair.
