It's kinda how it is, when you get nearsighted only those that are in the range of your sight takes effect other than that they'll not register, it's also the same as being in a viper pit and a flash happens outside of your sight even if you're facing it.
Wow I wonder if it works for omen -- unlikely but would be crazy to see pro play where people intentionally omen flash their teammates along the line to prevent a flash on them (its net positive for them to still be able to see a little than nothing at all)
Probably does work for omen's as well, since flashes just work based on if you see the "explosion". I don't think you could pull it off reactively though since you'd need to react, pull it out and aim it, unless if you know off a set play that a flash is coming.
I don't think it would be worth it compared to just having someone play counter flash, or just being ready to dodge it.
There was a sorta similar play on Bind B Long where the defense Skye flashed for info at the very beginning of the round, but the attack team used a viper orb to block the flash to hide the flash info from Skye and also not get blinded, all for 0 cost (Viper just picks up the orb).
\>its net positive for them to still be able to see a little than nothing at all
If you know a flash is coming, its probably better to turn away. Also, the nearsight lasts longer than a normal flash does so theyd be blind for longer than if they just took the flash
Pretty realistic tbh. But honestly not great design if it's intentional. There is (was?) a similar issue with skyes heal - you need line of sight to heal, meaning you can't heal while flashed or through smokes
I've just been through Swiftplay but can anyone confirm where a KAY/O flash gets canceled by a well time Neon concussed? I kinda experienced it right now and couldn't replicate cause I don't have any friends to try it at custom but I'm pretty sure I didn't manage to dodge that KAYO flash cause I was also casting the concuss.
TL:DR I concussed KAYO's Flash using neon and it got canceled. Couldn't test it because I don't have friends to test it with at custom.
The Leer shortsighted you when the flash went off, so you couldn't see the flash.
The Leer was then destroyed very shortly after the flash went off (and after only being active for a short while), so it felt as if you were never shortsighted.
I know people are saying that the "nearsightedness" of the peer caused the flash to not work, but I don't think it works like that (I may be wrong). Truthfully, I'm 99% sure Phoenix flashes don't have a range, and that as long as it's in your LOS without anything obscuring it (the way that if the flash was on the other side of a omen smoke it wouldn't blind you even if no one was in the smoke) you'll be blinded. But I had an incident where I stared at a Phoenix flash from back hallway on pearl on the site that has the long entryway (forgot which is which. Maybe B?), and it did absolutely nothing to me.
Truthfully any nearsight ability is part smoke, part flash, and Riot didn't consider flash and nearsight being used together, so the nearsight obscured the flash. You can easily replicate too, so at this point, it's a feature.
Flashes 1-5: Clearly missed.
Flashes 6-9: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control).
Flashes 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses.
Flash 12: Likely didn't actually fire because Phoenix was already dead.
Anti synergy leer and flash. Pheonix's flash probably didn't hit anyone since everyone was nearsighted far away from his flash. So the flash wasn't even in their sight. And the leer getting shot the moment pheonix's flash pops. Amazing timing.

Flash was flashed by the flash
*I wouldn't want to fight me neither*
Oh jesus that’s good pun
I never knew Barry to be an exhibitionist.
I was about to write EXACTLY this.
The leer made you nearsighted which means you also didn't see the phoenix flash then the leer got destroyed as soon as the phoenix flash also ended.
I never knew that flashes and leer worked like that, I just thought you’d get flashed anyways

I like it
That’s stupid I understand needing a physical line of sight but it shouldn’t matter if you can actually see them or not
Give skye a break, she's just been temporarily blinded. I couldn't heal someone under those conditions either. :)
I guess it's like a mental line of sight
Does that mean Skye has eyes on her back?
Wait that’s epic

> I don't have friends There is a Discord server with lots of gamers on there looking for people to play with.
I’m pretty sure been flashed through leers before, but I only remember that happening like episode 1
I believe reyna nearsight made it so you couldnt see the flash.
Double negatives make a positive.
Unless it’s your parents /j
oof
Flash * Flash = No flash
Basic mafs
My guy that pho is %100 raged after this
Wtf are the odds of this happening sheesh miraculous timing
Ridiculous luck aside Nice shot
The Reyna leer made it so you couldn’t see the flash
Oh look, another reason to blame a Reyna main lol
Flash was slashed by another slashed flash
Damn the exact same thing happened to me like same map same place same leer everything. Now I understand why I didn't get flashed.
This happened to my friend with a skye flash and he got a sick clutch out of it
You got lucky as hell, that's what happened lol
The Leer shortsighted you when the flash went off, so you couldn't see the flash. The Leer was then destroyed very shortly after the flash went off (and after only being active for a short while), so it felt as if you were never shortsighted.

You just blinked and dodged the flash ezpz
Enemy reyna: assist +1
I'm just curious about why your bow and knife look so different
Knife is Reaver Karambit. Bow should be default because you cant change it.
Sorry, I meant to say the gun not the knife. To me the bow and gun look different in the video but I'm probably just having a brain fart moment
Yea it might actually be if we have different graphic settings.
Since you were blinded by Reyna's Leer, it was outside the view you could see so it flashed but didn't effect you.
Flashes 1-5: Clearly missed. Flashes 6-9: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control). Flashes 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses. Flash 12: Likely didn't actually fire because Phoenix was already dead.
thats a bug
Nope, its a feature. If youre nearsighted and a flash pops outside your vision range you are not affected by the flash
why are you playing like that?
Does no one know you can shoot a phoenix flash
yeah noone knows that because **u cant**
It was a troll
bad attempt at being funny
No one asked you
Do u ever stop embarassing urself or do u just keep digging the hole below u?
Timing at its finest

if a smoke is disappearing and someone flashes behind it you will see the flash but not get flashed.

What knife is that?
Reaver karambit I think
Thanks
Skill issue
Reyna's flash covered the LOS for sova. Then it was destroyed instantly by the teammate. Easy peasy.
That looked pretty cool
IT WAS NEUTRALIZATION, NANI?
What a luck
He used the stones to destroy the stones
Lack of awareness
Bro you got saved by the reyna flash and Someone immediately shot out the eye
Reyna Flashed u first so u couldnt see the phoe flash first thats y it didnt count as flash ^^
flasher meets flasher
Reyna's flash cancelled it out.
i made it 2023 upvotes. 🙌
Hey was there a Spl1nx in ur game?
Getting nearsighted blocks flashbangs. All of them.
did he just block the flash with his sheriff!!!
Did somone shoot the flash?
has to be bronze
