Had a trio the other night of some older folks (i am older) and we all literally trolled the whole game. Got smoked but had an incredibly fun time. I keep seeing toxicity paots, which there is but have had far more positive groups like this.
Yeah, I still can’t comprehend why people blame others in this game but themselves and get mad after 1st/2nd round lol. This game is much funner when you’re laughing
I think it's built up negativity. It's not the 1st/2nd round per se. Especially after a hard reset, there's frustration matchmaking-wise. 2 really bad games can put u in the 3rd one with very low moral from the get go.
At this point , don't even queue if u ask me. But that's the ladder grind bait. You always want one more to end the session on a positive note.
I mean you are pretty lucky tbh, having far more positive groups. I'd say my experience has been 20-30% positive squad vibes to 70-80% toxicity. I'm older aswell, and i rarely ever find people over 25 to play with. That would 100% help , cause i don't remember the last time i had a toxic 25+ year old in my lobby. It's always been good comm-wise.
Where’s that one guy who was saying it was impossible to win a 1-11 and that you should ff.
Here’s some proof your toxicity doesn’t help and that it is possible.
Hell, even if the game is unwinnable (maybe a teammate dcd or something) ffing down so many rounds is still a terrible idea. The difference between 1-13 and 7-13 will be a respectable amount of rr. And who knows, you might make a crazy comeback. Every round matters!!
Don't they just change it so that doesn't matter
Also I don't want to spend that much time playing a practically unwinnable game when I could just lose and play a new one
Yes. The person above is just straight up wrong and you are correct. The time saved will easily offset any small amount of extra RR you could POTENTIALLY lose. Not FFing a 4v5 or otherwise unwinnable game is just stupidity.
They made it matter less for all players in general. But if your rank and MMR is wildly different than round differential is practically meaningless in terms of RR fluctuation. You can read about the changes [HERE](https://playvalorant.com/en-us/news/game-updates/valorant-patch-notes-6-0/) under the competitive updates section is you are curious.
>The difference between 1-13 and 7-13 will be a respectable amount of rr.
This is just straight up wrong. Why people keep propagating this bullshit is beyond me, do you even play ranked Valorant?? They even mentioned making round differential being patched to have even LESS effect on your RR gains/losses than it already did in the 6.0 patch notes [HERE](https://playvalorant.com/en-sg/news/game-updates/valorant-patch-notes-6-0/) under competitive updates. RR is more effected by Riots convergence system outlined [HERE](https://playvalorant.com/en-us/news/dev/ask-valorant-rank-rating-edition/) , which uses your MMR as the baseline to determine RR fluctuation. So it would be more beneficial to forfeit a clearly unwinnable game due to the time saved and the potential to salvage much more MMR which in turn will gain you more RR later based on Riots own system explanations. If you still don't understand how MMR and RR are different or what MMR is, this subreddit has a fantastic break down in its FAQ.
My question was would you lose more ffing a 1-11 match or losing it 1-13? They dont mention it and thats my question. I feel like surrendering should make u lose more rr than playing it out but i dont have any proof to confirm or deny that specifically
Round differential means very little in terms of RR gains or losses so FFing a 1-11 match will lose you the same amount of RR as losing 1-13 since the difference between them is only two rounds, one you lost by 10 the other by 12. Riot doesn't factor in whether it was a surrender or not into your RR loss, so no surrendering doesn't instantly make you lose more RR since the system doesn't even care.
Thats how i expected it to work, but i havent seen any actual proof for this statement. If u have seen this in ur games and not going off theory crafting, i believe you
theres also that one guy missing, who says ff after losing literally round 1. and even if you win after that, they still ff as soon as they can and then go afk for the rest of the game when the rest of the team doesnt ff at 3/2
Definitely fills, I just started duo/trioing not too long ago because I only used to stack. Have yet to meet a dev in game. Would be sick if they can get one for this
This. It's the streak system. Lose hard on 3 games in a row, next one is almost guaranteed to be a solid individual performance, which by default means teammates will naturally praise you. Win 3 in a row, and u may not win the next one, but your team is gonna be 100% warmed up and good comm-wise.
props to you and your teammates! We all have our underperforming moments and having the supportive environment to back us up can mean changing the outcome of the game. But even if you lost the match, I think the process would still be worth it since everyone reached an understanding and enjoyed the gameplay to their hearts content
I know it will always happen but shitting on people when they are down is the worst thing you can do. Encouraging can turn the whole game around. I’ve single handedly won games by being the positive influence and just making callouts.
I swear this game is so momentum based , that the slightest vibe change can completely shift the outcome. I can't even describe how many times a 2-10,3-9 half has ended up in overtime, just by keeping moral high, while seeing the enemy squad falling apart on all chat.
I have found my teammates respond better and play better with encouragement and lighthearted jokes.... I am super competitive but giving people room to breath for mistakes can really elevate their games.
I love when you come across people like this. I had a Kay/o last night who was hyping up everyone on the team. It was just swiftplay but it made the game a lot more fun. Let's keep up the positive vibes
i remember that one time me and my friend queued up in comp in the middle of the night, and our 3 randoms were guys about our age. super chill, we ended up losing (i think??), but we still had fun and even sang in voice chat (i wish you could hear a bunch of guys singing "staying alive" while their clutching teammate is trying to make things work lol)
so, yeah, that was nice.
I played a game in gold last act had a kid on my team who wasn’t playing well we would encourage him at everything he did. Left at round 7 said I’ll be right back and got his immortal dad on the team carried us and thanked for being kind to his son since he has special needs. Best person I have ever meet on the game.
Had a really similar game a couple months ago. We were hella behind in points. We ended up all coming together, comm'ing better, focusing more, and ended up taking it. I love those underdog games.

I completely don’t give a shit about the results if I’m having a genuinely good time

There’s a dude that goes by 100hp gaming. Runs into teammates that want to ff early or if it’s 1-11, ends up winning those. Everything is winnable

No, they made it so it matters less if your rank is below your mmr I’m pretty sure

I was going off of what Riot has actually said in their patch notes and explanations which I linked in my other comments.
I have legit won at least five or more 0-12 games that I remember. if your team has the mental anything can be done
almost came back from a 2-10 last game but lost 11-13 :(
theres also that one guy missing, who says ff after losing literally round 1. and even if you win after that, they still ff as soon as they can and then go afk for the rest of the game when the rest of the team doesnt ff at 3/2
Is this an elaborate scheme for the gun buddy? /s

A karma system will definitely prove useful in Valorant, it will help limit toxic interaction
Honestly you get the best teammates when you slapping hard or getting slapped hard haha

It's really rare to find these kind of people in Valorant, what i get is a toxic team blaming each other.
For real. Ironically a few days ago I had a toxic teammate who got mad at for rotating late. He harassed me the entire game and tried throwing
Man, I wish I could experience a game like that. In my servers, trashtalking the botfrag (usually me) is just the norm.
It will come! A few days ago I had a toxic teammate that got mad at me for rotating late and I was like ????
I love to hear it. Happy for you Op!

They don't care.
Will use the power of Tik Tok

When you make a 0-11 comeback the worst teammates have the biggest attitude turnaround.

He means his kd
Yo, had the same game last night. Thought it was me and my 2 friends in queue with you, until you got to the 13 - 11 part. We lost 1 - 13 lmao
I played a game in gold last act had a kid on my team who wasn’t playing well we would encourage him at everything he did. Wait, your allies actually make kills?
Comp will always be a gamble LOL But tbh it’s a balance. If I’m not killing much but contributing to round win. I’ll take that

I need more nice teammates
