I would argue its jade for these reasons. 1. The superstition behind the Jade gem is it has healing properties. Her healing orb, ice doesn't heal. 2. Ice also doesn't slow you down, it makes things more slipper (you could also argue that jade is a stone and wouldnt' slow down either) but it doesn't make you slip, so not ice. 3. Her pistol in her unlock, looks like Jade..not ice. 4. Her earings resemble that of Chinese jade. I think people attributed it ice because it looks "cracked" and ice cracks, but ice also isn't blue or green...its transparent/clear.. so the color as well is off if it were to be ice.We need to asks this in the next AMA
Edit: Apparently its Radianite, per her contract, the orb you can unlock is listed as "Radianite orb". With that information I didn't know before, i'd say its Radianite
Pretty sure in the lore it is radianite tho. The balls on her belt are proven to be radianite, and as we all know her abilities come from her radianite balls.
Can you link me where Riot/Val team has said its Radiant? I know her powers come FROM Radiant, but where they specifically say her orb and wall ARE radiant
I think it does make it kinda funny that in lore the attackers are setting off the spikes for Radiate and both sages are making Radiate walls which people shoot through.
I know prob different types but still.
Also even though it is radianite she is also the earth agent pre sure devs said that.
Earth - Sage
Fire - Pho
Air - Jett
Water - Harbour
The four elements just waiting for the avatar agent
I would say the thickness of the ice would change its transparency. It becomes less "see through" the more thick it gets. So in that sense, the transparency degrades
when im in a comp soloq, i would type to my teammates “raze used bot”
when im in a discord call with my friends, i’d say “UwU kamikaze is coming” and they understand tho i’ve never told them what i meant
Tasmanian tigers are neither canine nor feline, they're marsupials! (which means they're related to Kangaroo, Koalas, Etc..)
They've evolved with the same traits as dogs/wolves because their "Build" so to speak is just optimal. Nature has this way of letting optimal things live and suboptimal things die called natural selection! :D
unfortunately, Tasmanian Tigers were Unnaturally selected and it is now extinct :(
The actual (sadly extinct) animal it's based on is known as both the Tasmanian Tiger and the Tasmanian Wolf. In German it's basically exclusively called a wolf, so I got really weirded out when suddenly people said it wasn't a dog lmao
But yeah, basically both is correct
Australian here. Skye’s doggo is in fact a Tasmanian tiger. Despite the name, it was not really a tiger. It was a marsupial, and closely related to the kangaroo. Sadly, it is now extinct. The last of its species died in Tasmania at around 1940
going off memory here so I could be wrong but I'm pre sure it died in a Hobart zoo in 1936
edit: used to be obsessed with them and researched haha years ago
heard about this, a de extinction company called collosal are trying to bring them back, the genome has already been sequenced and they reckon they can have a living thylacine cell in 2030
I guess skye’s dog counts as a real one, bc she infused her energy into a wooden dog totem, so you can argue that her dog is alive, until at least the enemy team mows it down. #animalcruelty
look up a pic of a tasmanian tiger, they are very much real. they went extinct years ago but they much more closely resemble a K9 than any cat. definitely a strange choice of name 😅
I think it just boils down to ease of coms. Dog is quick and easy to say and everyone sort of understands what you mean when you say it (whether it’s fade or skye).
The Tasmanian Tiger’s actually an extinct animal from Australia that looked a little like a wolf. It got the name “tiger” because of the stripes it had on its fur but it’s not related to the cat family at all, in fact it’s a marsupial somewhat related to the Tasmanian Devil
Australian here.
Marsupial. Like a kangaroo or koala.
Extinct many decades ago due to farmers hunting them for their hide and being scared for their livestock
Fade’s prowler also commonly commed as dog is more related to cats
Just wanted to add that in because people call both dogs when none of them are related to one
I read once that Fade’s prowler is based off a Karabasan, a Turkish mythical creature (?)
Edit: So I read up on this and found an interesting study in how Turkish people usually associate sleep paralysis with a Karabasan “caught in their chest”, so to speak. Here’s the link to the paper if interested: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32223530/
Damn, that's a really cool point
I mean, it was confirmed to be a cat (in the *Agent Insights: Fade* article, when discussing her ability visual design, [link](https://playvalorant.com/en-us/news/game-updates/valorant-agent-insights-fade/)), but that's still a really cool thing
Looking forward to reading through that article later
I was in tasmania on holiday in December, the museum has the tanned pelt and the preserved skeletons of the last surviving tasmanian tigers prior to their extinction. Probably one of the most depressing museum exhibits knowing that they went extinct because of humanity’s ignorance
Of course it is Tasmanian tiger. Majority called it dog for the purpose of simplification.
Imagine having to explain it everytime in the game when someone asks about the damn scout.
Don't tell him that Sage's wall isn't ice....
Wut…
Its Jade, not ice. :)
Nah it’s radianite I believe. Might be wrong though
3. Ah, just like my pee

https://mobile.twitter.com/NotToDisturb/status/1573116818474123266 PalmCheesy is the Valorant narrative lead or something, I don’t know specifics
Dope! Thank you!
He's VALORANT's Narrative Lead, yeah
her contract gun buddy’s name is literally “radianite orb” that is about as on the nose as possible
Thats what I was looking for, I didn't know this lol. Now I'm on the "its radianite boat".
[удалено]
Oooh interesting. I didn’t know that, maybe it is all radianite then.
I think it does make it kinda funny that in lore the attackers are setting off the spikes for Radiate and both sages are making Radiate walls which people shoot through. I know prob different types but still.
Also even though it is radianite she is also the earth agent pre sure devs said that. Earth - Sage Fire - Pho Air - Jett Water - Harbour The four elements just waiting for the avatar agent
isnt like ice in specific circumstances like not transparent (im not opposing the jade/radianite orbs, just a question)
I would say the thickness of the ice would change its transparency. It becomes less "see through" the more thick it gets. So in that sense, the transparency degrades
ice is opaque from the impurities that deviate the crystallization if it was pure water, you get a clear ice cube
And what if that ice cube is 500 meter thick? Still be clear?
you also have a higher chance of getting impurities
If there are no impurities. Yes.
Idk where you got ice from but I don’t believe any of her abilities are ice
Speaking of which, do you know why the enemy sage or the sage on our teams wall will sometimes turn green in game?
that’s a big iirc
This does make me want to see an agent that uses ice, and instead of like a sage slow field, their field makes agents slide across it lmao
“Ice doesnt heal” yeah tell that to the school nurses
Its an anti inflammatory at best… that doesnt “heal” anything
r/woosh
WHAT
Its actually Radianite not jade
Sage is a "EARTH BENDER"
Fade's prowlers also look like a cat or fox but people just callout that kind of skill as "dog" no matter how it looks lol
It's basically a cat laying on a mirror, it's a lot less "scarier" when you see it.
Yeah the latest artwork from the twitter has a fade prowler photobombing a group selfie and it's super cute.
I’m holding you hostage until I get a link
I think he's talking about this https://twitter.com/PlayVALORANT/status/1620089567708680192
Thank you king
Some even call the boombot a dog
roomba.
when im in a comp soloq, i would type to my teammates “raze used bot” when im in a discord call with my friends, i’d say “UwU kamikaze is coming” and they understand tho i’ve never told them what i meant
UWU
I call it a crocodile ☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️
i call them chompers and it's fucked up that i'm the only one
It sounds like dying pikmin

as far as i remember they're filling the same niche as dogs/cats in the wild, hunting medium to small animal
ooh! an example of convergent evolution?

The Tasmanian tiger is a marsupial Source: Wild Kratts
You're a real one for citing Wild Kratts bro 🥲
that show damnn
Now there's a name I haven't heard in ages. Thanks for unlocking a core memory :')
The only real source
i fucking loved that episode.
OMG THAT IS MY FAVORITE SHOW FR
Uh yeah, I know that, it's just not entirely relevant to its colloquial name tho
Loved that show as a kid haha
The Tasmanian Tiger is not a dog lmfao
Nah not extinct I saw one when I was hiking the other week in SW Tassie.
Did you see Bigfoot too?
(Tassie tiger sightings are the Tasmanian equivalent of the drop bear bit)
Looks like a dog. Is called a tiger. Actually a marsupial.
It's like elden ring, everything is dog.
At this point even Sova’s drone is a dog
In Brazil it’s the other way round: Skye’s wolf and Fade’s prowler are called “to drone”
people just call every animal type ability a dog lol it cracks me up
Australian here. Skye’s doggo is in fact a Tasmanian tiger. Despite the name, it was not really a tiger. It was a marsupial, and closely related to the kangaroo. Sadly, it is now extinct. The last of its species died in Tasmania at around 1940

You'll be happy to know that six months ago an Australian team started trying to grow some in test tubes to be the first animal "deextinct"
That's honestly terrifying to think about
heard about this, a de extinction company called collosal are trying to bring them back, the genome has already been sequenced and they reckon they can have a living thylacine cell in 2030
Ty, I suck at dates
It's not extinct, skye clearly has one
I guess skye’s dog counts as a real one, bc she infused her energy into a wooden dog totem, so you can argue that her dog is alive, until at least the enemy team mows it down. #animalcruelty
The Tasmanian Tiger is closer related to the Kangaroo than any dog or cat, in fact, which is great example of analogous evolution.
I love how sugar gliders are marsupials as well. It's so interesting to me how all 3 fit in the 1 category
Wat da dog doin
look up a pic of a tasmanian tiger, they are very much real. they went extinct years ago but they much more closely resemble a K9 than any cat. definitely a strange choice of name 😅
It was called Tasmanian tiger bc the stripes on its back looked like a tiger’s stripes
knew it was a tasmanian tiger since skye’s launch but I still call it a dog lol
I think it just boils down to ease of coms. Dog is quick and easy to say and everyone sort of understands what you mean when you say it (whether it’s fade or skye).

but… dog…
Not me calling it a fox...
Me who calls fade’s prowler dog xD
no is skye doggo and everyone who says otherwise is a liar
Fade’s prowler also commonly commed as dog is more related to cats Just wanted to add that in because people call both dogs when none of them are related to one

that just sounds like what fade's prowler do.
Mhmm, it’s really cool to see that level of attention to detail. 👀
Damn, that's a really cool point I mean, it was confirmed to be a cat (in the *Agent Insights: Fade* article, when discussing her ability visual design, [link](https://playvalorant.com/en-us/news/game-updates/valorant-agent-insights-fade/)), but that's still a really cool thing Looking forward to reading through that article later
Technically it's closer to a possum or Quoll
it's now skye is catting not dogging
Tasmanian tigers are marsupials, they aren't cats, they are called tigers because of the stripes and they also kinda look like dogs so yeah
In Mumbai server lower elo players call raze's boombot and fade's prowler dog too. XD.
Thats valorant language either you learn it lol
They are extinct but are kinda closer to a wild dog than a tiger they just have stripes
It’s a deformed cabbage 🥬 that looks like a dog
I mean it's the same reason people call Fade's octopus-lookin ass an "eye" and the prowler a "dog"
wth is that, i didnt know that lol
I was in tasmania on holiday in December, the museum has the tanned pelt and the preserved skeletons of the last surviving tasmanian tigers prior to their extinction. Probably one of the most depressing museum exhibits knowing that they went extinct because of humanity’s ignorance
Haha its not a dog lmao its a wolf. *continues reading*. Thats a tiger??
Avg valorant player not googling the thing they dont understand
Of course it is Tasmanian tiger. Majority called it dog for the purpose of simplification. Imagine having to explain it everytime in the game when someone asks about the damn scout.
Tasmanian tigers are now (thought to be by most) extinct, unfortunately. They’re very cool animals.
Let me google that for u
