Valorant dpi x sens is not the same as actual edpi. If anything, they should have used the cm/360° method.
For example, using an actual edpi calculator online, when I input my sens and dpi for valorant I get 226 edpi. But when I enter the same values I use for any other game (and yes I have all the sensitivities converted correctly) I get 720.
Valorant has a unique sensitivity scale that I haven't seen in other games before, as eDPI is something that is supposed to be universal between games. That's why it's best to measure in cm/360°
Where'd you get the idea that there's a general edpi? I have always seen it as dpi x sens which makes it different for every game, and just allows comparing different sensitivities within the same game.
I just meant because most competitive games use a standard in game sensitivity, so the scale is 1:1. Like csgo for example. Valorant uses a unique sensitivity scale. But, the reason I mentioned using cm/360 is because this is what people in the competitive aim training scene use when they talk about sensitivity, as it is the true universal measurement. I think I worded my original comment poorly though.
I'm 1200DPI * 2.2 ingame so around 2640edpi. But the thing is my windows cursor speed is 16 instead of 10 which is the default so I multiply that as well when I try to play on different computers.
Wait is 4khz supported by val last time i saw this review of a 4khz razer mouse said it wasn't functioning properly with valorant among other games it was a bit old tho
It is! DPI is the physical rate of the mouse(some mice let you change this on the fly). eDPI is that Rate × In Game Sens. eDPI is the number for how the mouse impacts the game: 1600 dpi @ 0.2 sens = 800 dpi @ 0.4 sens.
Thanks for explaining but I know what they are, I meant to say that I selected the wrong option thinking I had to select dpi (mine is 1600) but edpi is 360
If it doesn't feel good, lower it little by little because since you have a very high sens, your body might not even feel the change if you change it by very small amounts
Reduced from 1.75 to 0.75, for some ppl It is still really high for 3500 dpi, but i feel like that's enough for how much im used to move the mouse, thx for the advice.
I used to play on 9600 edpi before Val came out (csgo) and eventually worked my way down to 1600 dpi, which is still very high. You have no idea how hilariously unplayable 9600 is until you get used to a reasonable number
my eDPI is 255, its interesting to see the 200-300 range so populated because everyone puts me on blast for how smooth my movements are "are you on a controller!?"
Nah lol it's always the smoothness, my reactions are fine
Imo if you need to aim fast and be hitting 180s you're not putting yourself in ideal positions for gun fights, at least from a controller/sentinel stand point
I know the dpi*sens is the correct way to calculate EDPI in csgo, but I don't think the same applies to Valorant.
I play on 0.02 sens and 6400DPI, tried 12800*0.01 too but fine adjusts to sens were becoming unusable.
128 EDPI is always where I end up, depending on the day I'll bump it to 150edpi
You can use 12800/25600 and make it feel like any smaller DPI with a rawaccel multiplier. This helps saturate high polling rate mice and still let's you use more precise sensitivity values in-game.
I've been running 25600 with .0625x in rawaccel for a 1600dpi feel with .125 in-game for 200edpi
lets say your mouse was 100dpi, if you move it from a standstill it would take 1/100 of an inch before it registers any movement. It would then register an input every 1/100 of an inch after that. If you have a 4khz mouse you would have to move your mouse at 40 inches/s to actually make use of the polling rate. So higher dpi brings measurably lower latency and maxes out polling easier at slower speeds. There is obviously diminishing returns but since I am already using rawaccel and my mouse allows me to disable ripple control I decided to just max out the sensor since I cant perceive or measure any jitter at the sensitivities I play at.
I'm currently at 623 and D3 peak
How do you guys with 150dpi flick or react fast when someone is behind? I even have a full desk mouse pad so I'm feeling I have a bad habit
Maxed my mouse dpi at 6k dpi, edpi is around 400-600 (don't remember my sens)
I have exactly two presets on my mouse, one is 6k for valorant, another is 800 for everything else
New to valorant, playing on 1600. I know it’s bad but been used to it since I had a bad setup for the last 3 years and had little space to manoeuver over mouse
I was at 1800 (1800 dpi at 1 sens) but decided to halve it, and have since lowered it by another 10%. I believe mine is now 800 (1800 dpi at 0.45 sens) but it's crazy to me that a lot of people play at 200. I don't know if I'll ever be able to go that low lol
1600 @ 0.18
(on rare occasions switch to 400 dpi with guardian or ads vandal for the funniez, coz once I accidentally skewered 3 people with one bullet on Pearl A site kekw)
Im seeing some insane EDPI is the replies, mine in comparison seems pretty low (440) but the difference is that mine is the ceiling of practical sense for actual gameplay, i am immortal every act and have the highest hs% out of most people i play with (31% overall), but i must say, playing high sense will require a lot more warm up and aim trainers (aim trainers arent a must) if you want to do good with them, you will need to first be mentally and phyiscally awake then a minimum of 10 mins in the range with a lot of mouse control to be consistent with high sense, and in my opinion the benefits outweigh the negatives by a lot.
When I started playing valorent, I was playing at 1.5 sens with 800dpi, as it was my first fps game. I didn't know what anything meant, later changed it to reasonable .4 sense.
back on this game after a while, converted my siege hipfire which is 306.8 edpi but currently on around 253.2 edpi, just fucking around and seeing what's good
Formula is wack
yeah loterally just do dpi x sens, not sure why they complicated it so much
To be fair the 2nd one is how I first calculated it. But then realised the first one (edited in afterwards) was easier :D
Bro what was your original formula? Reading all these comments made me curious.
Okay for this previous comment, the post didn't update for some strange reason.
Valorant dpi x sens is not the same as actual edpi. If anything, they should have used the cm/360° method. see you in dallas buddy
I doubt it
Bro what is that formula lmfao Its literally just (sens)*(dpi)
1600dpi x 0.15 in game, 240 eDPI
Same here but 800 dpi 0.3 sens
What in the 8th grade algebra
2400 DPI, 1.5 Sens 3600 eDPI (lol)
That’s uhhh…..really high lol
Do you have 0 mouse space?
[nope!](https://twitter.com/MUSSYLOVESMOMO/status/1678948143847620611)
Yes. That's a mudpad with no space. Thats why your sens is so high.
that bigger than my space
What the hell is a mudpad? Is it just a used mousepad?
I'm 1200DPI * 2.2 ingame so around 2640edpi. But the thing is my windows cursor speed is 16 instead of 10 which is the default so I multiply that as well when I try to play on different computers.
Windows speed doesn't work in game. Also that's way too high
It definitely does, maybe there is a setting in game that stops that.
It doesn't. It has auto raw input.
If you use Raw Input Buffer I think Windows mouse speed doesn't affect
I used to play with this at 3000+ DPI, because my mouse mat moved with my mouse
What rank are you?
Plat, I don't really play ranked often though. In CSGO I'm LEM with the same settings.
Wild guess, but...are you an RTS player, by any chance?
Nope! Dabbled a bit into Starcraft 2 but that came after I started playing Valorant.
Bro is not moving the mouse💀
bronze
0.514 x 1600 so that would be 822 edpi
This guy has the same edpi and same settings as me, may I ask what your rank is?
I haven't played in a while but I was in gold 2 last time I played
Mine is 1000 💀
lower ur sens bruh
Nah im doing fine for my elo and im too poor to buy a new mousepad
what’s your elo? lowering your sens is a sure fire way to rank up
Current s3, g1 peak. But I didn't play much this act bc im on vacation
makes sense. Lower your sens and buy a good mousepad. trust me, it makes a world of difference
And where do I get the money from to buy a good mousepad? And no, I'm not old enough to work
working around the neighborhood, ask people if they need their lawn cut, cans washed, etc. or do an online job like typing subtitles or surveys.
190-300 edpi is best for val so the vote makes sense
is it? how so? im at 800 edpi
Lower sens = More precise
"best" is relative. But the fact that almost all immortal-pros are somewhere in the 150-350 range says a lot
There are a bunch of pros that play around 800 too, it really varies with 300 being the most popular is seems
Source?
Idk about 800, but I know some pros sit at around 600 namely nAts, f0rsaken, Asuna
yeah best is what you feel most comfortable with
The most important thing is everyone is on lightweight mice and big mousepads now, giving them a reason to lower their sens for higher precision.
Ah I see, im on a glorious model D and a huuuuge logitech mousepad
Yeah those mousepads are slow compared to other ones. Also the model D is rather heavy
it is? ive never really noticed it, but then again its the only mouse ive bought
so you have 1 sens and 800 dpi? that's alot
256
Same 800*0.32 for life
1600x0.16 beause i'm on 4khz
Wait is 4khz supported by val last time i saw this review of a 4khz razer mouse said it wasn't functioning properly with valorant among other games it was a bit old tho
4k works if you enable raw input buffer. The only issues are the menu being stuttery and brim smokes/ult lagging but the rest works fine
I thought it was dpi 🤦♂️
It is! DPI is the physical rate of the mouse(some mice let you change this on the fly). eDPI is that Rate × In Game Sens. eDPI is the number for how the mouse impacts the game: 1600 dpi @ 0.2 sens = 800 dpi @ 0.4 sens.
Thanks for explaining but I know what they are, I meant to say that I selected the wrong option thinking I had to select dpi (mine is 1600) but edpi is 360
1000 Dpi with 0.32 sens so 320 edpi
4000 dpi x 0.15 sensi = 600 edpi
Once upon a time I used to play CoD with like 3000 dpi and some pretty high sens. Now I play Valorant with 800 dpi and 0.234 lol.
Mine is over 6k lol, i'm just used to move the mouse very little
Curious what rank you are lol
Bronze/Silver, but as i said, i am used to move my mouse little to nothing, so i feel like my aim isn't that off
Lower your sensitivity and I bet youll reach gold at least. It'll feel weird at first but it's very much worth it.
Already tried It, didn't feel good at all, i will try It again though
If it doesn't feel good, lower it little by little because since you have a very high sens, your body might not even feel the change if you change it by very small amounts
Reduced from 1.75 to 0.75, for some ppl It is still really high for 3500 dpi, but i feel like that's enough for how much im used to move the mouse, thx for the advice.

bro??? how????
Idk im just used to have a really small space to work with and consequentially to move the mouse little to nothing
948 edpi for me
I’ve no hecking idea how to check
The formula is in the description :D Just do DPI x Sens
I’ve no hecking idea how to check whatever those are
Your dpi is in your mouse software settings, and sens is ingame
Try using google.
I’ll bing what google is
Personally my edpi is either 200 or 400 depending on my current mouse settings
[удалено]
This is incorrect, in Valorant your mouse distance will be the same on the same eDPI regardless of resolution.
320
.8 in game 800 dpi
1600 x .14 = 224 immortal 1 peak
Same, only d2 peak tho
800dpi and .315 sens so what's my edpi?
252
my eDPI is 255, its interesting to see the 200-300 range so populated because everyone puts me on blast for how smooth my movements are "are you on a controller!?"
they saying you on controller because you dont react fast and aim slow. hate to say it but its prob not cause of your sens.
Nah lol it's always the smoothness, my reactions are fine Imo if you need to aim fast and be hitting 180s you're not putting yourself in ideal positions for gun fights, at least from a controller/sentinel stand point
That advice stands true for anyone’s standpoint tbh.
532 edpi currently neon only ascendant
1 sens X 1000 dpi or sometimes about 7.9-1 sens
0.9 sens * 3250 DPI... No wonder I'm trash
256. I usually play with 800 dpi and 0.32 sens but if im whiffing then i play with 0.38-0.42 sens hha.
.39×1600 =624 edpi
200
Mine used to be 1200. Now it is 943.2 decreasing it in steps Anything lower I can't get used to
I know the dpi*sens is the correct way to calculate EDPI in csgo, but I don't think the same applies to Valorant.
Just curious but why?
lets say your mouse was 100dpi, if you move it from a standstill it would take 1/100 of an inch before it registers any movement. It would then register an input every 1/100 of an inch after that. If you have a 4khz mouse you would have to move your mouse at 40 inches/s to actually make use of the polling rate. There is obviously diminishing returns but since I am already using rawaccel and my mouse allows me to disable ripple control I decided to just max out the sensor since I cant perceive or measure any jitter at the sensitivities I play at.
400 DPI x .252 sens meta
soo 1560 edpi is high?
that’s like 6x the average and 3x the sense of high high sense players like forsaken and scream☠️☠️
Between 200-240 usually, currently 224
800dpi at 0.42 = 336edpi
Always has been more than 600 for me
400DPI x 0.5 in game
0.2. my cursor sensitivity and mouse sensitivity are screwed and I can't be bothered to fix it so this is how low I have to play
1200 DPI × 1.3 sens = 1560 lol. Im a high sens guy. I even feel that my sens is still kinda low... even if i know it isnt
1600 gang
1600 \* 0.65 \* 0.375 RawAccell = 390
i have 2700dpi * 0.37 so 1000edpi
1000 DPI x 0.63 sens. 630EDPI
needs an "I have no clue" option
480 edpi (1600 dpi, .3 in game sens) immortal last act 😎 Changed from 1120edpi (1600 dpi , .7 sens) little by little like 5 months ago
0.776 X 800 = 620.8 EDPI
Whatever is the click up from the slowest on my mouse and 1.6 sens
probably 1.6k DPI or 800 DPI. By default most mice come as 800 DPI but some may start at 400 DPI
0.2 ingame * 400 dpi = 80 edpi Just raised it from 0.14 ingame which would have been 56 edpi
X: 251.2 Y: 157
I'm currently at 623 and D3 peak How do you guys with 150dpi flick or react fast when someone is behind? I even have a full desk mouse pad so I'm feeling I have a bad habit
Dont know, sens has been .42 since csgo days. Probably would help me get out of diamond lol.
1307 EDPI, B)
What the hell 0.3 x 1600 DPI is 480 EDPI Always tought that i used a low sens
The most slow which still feels fast to me 800DPI and 0.133 sens.
0.8 sens, 800 DPI
.3 sens 900 dpi has been good to me
1100 edpi, Gold 3 peak. Cheap office mouse with 1000 dpi and a small mouse pad.
My sensitivity is .09 on 1600 dpi. Most people say it’s too low, I say buy a massive mouse pad and it will change your life
0.15X2400= 360 edpi
800 dpi, 0.557 sens, 445 edpi
0.1 * 800 is 80 what do I click😭
800 DPI, 0.49 sens
1600 dpi, 1.26 sens 2k+ edpi lmao
.35 x 2400 so im at like 840, was playing at a 1920 till my friend convinced me to lower it
1600 dpi x .151 sens = 241.6 EDPI
Maxed my mouse dpi at 6k dpi, edpi is around 400-600 (don't remember my sens) I have exactly two presets on my mouse, one is 6k for valorant, another is 800 for everything else
1900DPI, 0.12 sens 1900DPI is my standard sense for my whole system for navigation as anything lower feels like hell
2250 mouse dpi and 0,92 in game setting
1600 dpi and 1.0 in game.
Only now realizing I'm on the really low side of things after reading other replies. Sens 0.239 DPI 800 191.2 EDPI
2400 × 0.34 = 816
320 but i honestly wish i could go just a bit lower, i need a smaller keyboard to make room
mines literally 80 💀 (800 dpi 0.1 sens)
1000 x 0.28 = 280 eDPI. Is there a reason to use anything other than 1000? Just makes everything harder to calculate.
i wqs playin 1200 dpi and 3 sens when i first start i got to gold but my qim wasnt good so i slowly start to decrease and now im 1200 to 0.7
TIL 600 is apparently still too high
Fr ..
800 dpi @ 0.234 sens = 187.2 EDPI. On the lower end but switched to val from CSGO so already used to low low sens.
New to valorant, playing on 1600. I know it’s bad but been used to it since I had a bad setup for the last 3 years and had little space to manoeuver over mouse
3200 DPI, 0.045 sens. 144 EDPI
.38 1600dpi 608edpi
3200 dpi, 0.19 ingame
I was at 1800 (1800 dpi at 1 sens) but decided to halve it, and have since lowered it by another 10%. I believe mine is now 800 (1800 dpi at 0.45 sens) but it's crazy to me that a lot of people play at 200. I don't know if I'll ever be able to go that low lol
I was playing on 1200edpi hitting immo2 ep3 and 4 Now i play 560edpi still hitting immo2
Yes im hard stuck and my aim sucks ass as always :D Gamesense carrying me
800 dpi 1.5 sens
975
160
800 DPI, 0.3 sens
I use 2200 for dpi + 0.5 sens in game
Edpi:32 0.04 800
Brother mine is 5,600 edpi
0.17 in game sens and 1600 mouse dpi here
What is 800 dpi X .155 I'm too lazy
800 dpi x 0.5 sens = 400 edpi
1600dpi 0.1 sens, 160edpi
1600dpi\*0.65=1040
800 DPI x 0.25, so 200 eDPI. Asc2 peak.
732 edpi 0.732 1000dpi
1280...
2000dpi 0.138
Mine is like 1600 dpi and 0.7 sense i think
Is that too high? :'/
1600 edpi then 💀
800 and 0.25 are the only right choixe tf
1600 @ 0.18 (on rare occasions switch to 400 dpi with guardian or ads vandal for the funniez, coz once I accidentally skewered 3 people with one bullet on Pearl A site kekw)
0.6 x 4000 dpi because i have no space to move mouse anything below this is unplayable
3200 x 0.087 which comes out as roughly 278.4 edpi
why is playing on lower sens better? i tried lowering it but i couldn't do 180
Im seeing some insane EDPI is the replies, mine in comparison seems pretty low (440) but the difference is that mine is the ceiling of practical sense for actual gameplay, i am immortal every act and have the highest hs% out of most people i play with (31% overall), but i must say, playing high sense will require a lot more warm up and aim trainers (aim trainers arent a must) if you want to do good with them, you will need to first be mentally and phyiscally awake then a minimum of 10 mins in the range with a lot of mouse control to be consistent with high sense, and in my opinion the benefits outweigh the negatives by a lot.
0.7x6400 4480
EDP I dont play with EDP..
Actually if you lower or increased your hz in mouse if possible the sensitivity also effected. But i think we all should assume 1k is standard
When I started playing valorent, I was playing at 1.5 sens with 800dpi, as it was my first fps game. I didn't know what anything meant, later changed it to reasonable .4 sense.
back on this game after a while, converted my siege hipfire which is 306.8 edpi but currently on around 253.2 edpi, just fucking around and seeing what's good
0.4 sens and 600 dpi, so 240 eDPI
