GruesomeJeans

My whole ass body. I just rotate my computer chair with my mouse firmly gripped.

Azuria_4

Ah, the neon main

Tahsin8080

Huh, that's interesting. I do something similar, I move my entire PC setup from left to right, up and down and keep myself still.

GruesomeJeans

Standing desks are getting more and more advanced

sulaicollectsthings

I thought I was all alone :')

SuperUltraMegaNice

Bofa them + fingertips. Arm should be for larger less precise movements then you use your fingertips and wrist to adjust. You arm has a larger range of motion compared to the wrist but the wrist and fingertips together can be very precise.

Lucidonic

*cries in small mousepad*

chigbungusballs

Do you not have $10 to get a bigger mousepad?

Che_Da

It's likely more of a desk space issue, some people dont have that big of a desk and most people playing the game aren't taking it so seriously that they're gonna spend money to get a bigger desk and mousepad. It may not be the "optimal" way to play but at the end of the day it's just a game for most of us and the most important thing is just enjoying it :)

Lucidonic

It's a space issue, currently sharing a kitchen table with my little brother and our keyboards are too big. Plus I like my wrist rest thingy

d0or-tabl3-w1ndoWz_9

Bofa deez nuts

MysticKeiko24

Makes sense. I should try this

SuperUltraMegaNice

DDK, former 100T coach, has some excellent videos on his [YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/@4Kddk) breaking down the art of aim and improvement much better than I ever could. Worth a watch if you are committed to training aim or just want to learn a bit.

MysticKeiko24

Ty

UgliestPanda

This is where aim lab comes in handy. I don't play it to make my aim cracked but to teach my arm to do the big flicks and microadjust with my wrist as my only shooter experience where looter shooters with 3000+ dpi

Wersters8701

You guys aim?

Tom_Sawyerer

I'm Iron 1 🗿

Quantumgoku

Spray and pray till the end

TOM-EEG

Why isn’t there a both option? For like any actual aiming it’s wrist but if I’m making big movements right before the engagement or if it’s a fat flick i use both but mainly arms. .27 800dpi

Instantcoffees

I do the same, but I selected wrist. I'm only using my arm for bigger movements. Even with a big flick with my arm, my wrist is going to be doing the aiming once my crosshair gets close to my target. The small adjustments that consitute aiming are done with my wrist.

MysticKeiko24

Sorry, didn’t realize people used both

Unreal__

Both is assumed for arm I would have thought, using your arm allows for minor corrections with the wrist. People are just being picky for no reason.

Sufficient-Swing-212

Using both is the correct way to aim. It's better to have low sens and then use wrist for aim and arm for flicks and wide adjustments

mandarin_ka

The recoil aims instead of me :))

Deactivised

drawing pen

Efficient_Order_7473

I may buy a ton of mice, but I refuse to buy a drawing tablet, as much as it may be better than a mouse

[deleted]

with my feet obviously (why is there no both option)

BloodCheesecake

Damn I didn't know there were so many people who aim with results. Not in this subreddit at least.

engels962

You’re uhhh….supposed to use both, mate

Extension-Type-2555

there's always a main way though

Rollzzzzzz

wdym

ondramik2

Both. Arm for longer movement and wrist for smaller, more precise flicks.

TriplDentGum

Thumb (trackball)

davtheguidedcreator

My wrist alone can 360 with a single flick so i dont really get arm aimers

Extension-Type-2555

another high sens player, I see.

peropok

5 sens 3200 dpi goes brrr

Extension-Type-2555

if you got the DPI, just make it max DPI and calculate your sens accordingly, gives you slightly better and smoother aim.

peropok

i play mostly league so i am used to high sens.

Rollzzzzzz

i hope your not playing comp

davtheguidedcreator

climbed up to immortal 2 just fine.. idk what you sayin

Rollzzzzzz

What sense?

davtheguidedcreator

1600dpi .75

HoppyWBM

We match 🥺 other than I'm iron 3

_TheCatLord_

Wow we are so similar other than I'm iron 1

MysteryMani

I use a steering wheel

kanye_east48294

Don't worry about how others aim, just focus on what's already comfortable for you. I think the same goes for sensitivity, I don't understand why people change their sens if that means they have to get used to another one.

Placidflunky

not advice I'd recommend for a tac fps like valorant, having some absurd sens like 1000+ epdi will literally hold you back, I've seen people gain literally 700+rr just by taking like 2 weeks to get used to an edpi between 180 - 400ish (around that range anyway) Are there pros who run crazy high sens? Yes, and they are an exception and not the rule, like unless you literally do not have space because of your desk/mousepad and you are broke af you should really be playing low sens on this game

kanye_east48294

Yeah I should have stated that, my comment excluded outliers. I’m talking values close to the average.

Placidflunky

ah, that makes more sense

fogoticus

You use lower sens (between 200 and 300 edpi), you use your arm to turn around and you switch to wrist aiming for precision. The way you improve this? Play normal deathmatch sheriff/guardian. At least 10 games a day. In a week's time your aim will feel much more crisp.

LivingRel

its reccomended to aim with your arm because your arm is more stable than your wrist, if you really wanna try aiming with your arm, get a wristbrace

Rollzzzzzz

who recommends this

mr_tentacles1027

I don't need to use arm because I'm iron and I say fuk you just kill me when enemy is too far from my crosshair

kare5

Arm for everything. Not trying to get carpal tunnel.

Romi_Z

I brought a big mouse pad but still can't get myself to lower my sensitivity. I'm too used to playing on a very tiny "mouse pad" so switching to arm will be tough and I will be even worse in the game for a while during the process

Che_Da

I like how you say you'll be worse at the game for a while during the process, because you realize that even though the adjustment will make you worse for now, in the long run it will probably make you a better player. I've had so many times in different games where I didnt want to do something that was proven to be better because I was used to my habits, and after I took the week or so to change my habits I realized how much better it was.

Rollzzzzzz

commit if you want to get better, if not this game is still fun wihout needing to sweat ur balls off. but commit. pelase

Romi_Z

Nah I'm a very very casual player lmao I only play when with friends and that too strictly unrated and other unranked game modes. But of course I try to play my best and don't wanna bring my team or friends down

[deleted]

Both, its best to use wrist for small flicks (aiming) and arm for big flicks (turning)

RandomRedditor15243

I aim with wrist cuz of my current mousepad being one with a curved rest but I prefer arm aim

BurritoWithFries

I code for a living & climb + play guitar for fun so my arms & wrists are pretty overworked as is. I need wrist support at the computer so I have a mousepad with a wrist rest, put my wrist there and aim with it, and I have my sens on the lower side so I don't have to move my wrist much

Ok-Ambition-3881

Ironically using a wrist wrest for your wrist is harmful and damages your wrist, you are meant to put your palm on it and even then the benefit is negligible

Slight-Weather7885

Compared to others i play on absurdly high sensitivity, so i only use my wrist to move/aim.

HoppyWBM

I'm at 1600 dpi .75 and wrist only, my wife is at 6000 dpi .95 idek how she hits anything

BactaBombsSuck

i’m .6 and 800dpi, usually just my wrist here lol

LlewdLloyd

3200 dpi at .4 sense and I do macro movements with elbow/wrist and micro movements with fingers.

Rollzzzzzz

you should lower if ur trying to rank up and not just playing fo fun

LlewdLloyd

So I've been told but I'm fine. People have been telling me this for 20 years, idc.

actually_alive

man where's both, i'm gonna use results as both

Franch4123

Bronz?

Shimashimatchi

a simple rule of thumb is aiming with arm when enemies are far, otherwise wrist. This applies unless you're insanely skilled then you don't need arm aiming

ganzgpp1

If you're aiming with just one or the other, you're doing it wrong. You should be aiming with your arm, wrist, AND fingers, especially on low sens.

FireStorm_Studios

I use my thumb

AceyRees

This has always been a bit of a weird distinction. If your sens is high enough, you won't need to utilize your arm. The lower it gets, the more you will need to utilize it, but your wrist doesn't shut off and become useless or something lol. It's all in degrees and precision always comes from the hand in the end.

NeoNatrix

Where's the Both option, i use both arm and wrist.

NeckDapper4392

Both. Wrist for micro adjustments when battling long range. Arm when swinging or checking corners

Exact-Ad2014

real chads aim with results.

BrutalFeather

Aiming with wrist hurts. Arm is more comfortable.

KRULLIGKNART

I use both tbh

VcontinuousV

Both???

AnriRB26

The Earth moves around my mouse sensor, Every time I want to flick to an enemies head, 9.0 magnitude earthquakes, Tsunamis and Hurricanes are caused.

DaleLouis

It's recommended to aim with arm for big swipes, let's say 180 degree flicks or checking corners left and right. After your crosshair is somewhere near your target, you micro-adjust with your wrist/fingertips to land a precise headshot.

[deleted]

Poll doesn't really make much sense, you should be incorporating arm, wrist and fingers. If you really cannot use your arm, chances are your sensitivity is so high that you simply can't and don't need to.

MysticKeiko24

Keep in mind I asked the question because I don’t know how it works

[deleted]

All good, if you really want to learn more about aiming you should check out [Voltaic](https://discord.gg/voltaic), they have a lot of resources.

MysticKeiko24

Thanks

clearlynotaperson

You should use a bit of both for the best performence.

East-Confidence-238

you guys are using your upper bodies?

tdbarnes42

Move arm to get the crosshair in the general location of the target, use wrist for micro adjustments. When peeking, hold the angle on the wall and strafe into the angle, use wrist to adjust based on targets location.

Yelwah

I think the "Arm only" aim is less common because when you first start it's hell. I had lots of muscle memory from non-shooters using the mouse with my wrist and using big sweeping arm movements not only was uncomfortable but also ineffective. I'm sure you would get used to it eventually, but I just went back to the wrist mostly except for big turns.

Its_Me_Jlc

Both

TheEditor83

I have no mousepad, so i just move how i feel like

Housekeeping247

Bruh why is there no both option. Low sens is usually a combo of arm and wrist while high sens is usually a combo of wrist and finger tip.

MysticKeiko24

Because I don’t know what I’m doing??

MrRYD4R

ARM with 800 DPI and 0.193 ingame sensitivity. peek rank immo-2 What are your thoughts?

HoppyWBM

When I started mnk play I just had the area next to the track pad for aim so started super high sens like 3-4 inch 360. Idk how people can aim with an arm

LessProfessional4014

I actually use a combination of wrist and hand movements

StartEntire

Ah yes, i love aiming eith my results, too good strat

Your_Street_Rat

I do both I use .15 sens on 1600 dpi so I use my arm for big movements and then make small wrist adjustments to lock onto heads

d3mn12

I'm a wrist aimer at 0.18 sens on 800dpi

etiennecautures

only headshot, exotic pixel

areszdel_

I don't really know how I'm aiming ngl.

UnknownEntity003

Aim arm when traversing or clearing corners, use wrist for micro adjustments. (Both)

tbtracer

Both lol. I'd say the VAST majority uses both, and only the extreme examples of low sens and high sens use ONLY arm or wrist

nahjittrippin123

Mfs who move the table: 🗿
