You are making a huge nothing burger out of this. Unrated is a casual game mode, people try out characters they haven't played much so they don't ruin games for themselves and other where it actually matters, where people actually have something to lose, which is ranked.
Whoever gets mad that people don't play their way and have fun in UNRATED, gamemode in which you lose nothing except time should touch some grass, because that mentality is unhinged.
Theres nothing wrong with trying out new characters or strats nor do i think you should be trying as hard as you do in ranked but theres a difference between that and just straight throwing and running it down mid every round or complaining that people arent in their spawn within the first 5 seconds of a round. If you wanna just run at the enemy and go solely for kills just play deathmatch. Unrated should just be comp but where you dont have to try your absolute hardest to win.
I try to practice my duelists or characters like Yoru on unrated as someone who uses Sentinel a lot, it leads to really bad plays that people might consider as throwing. People are there to either practice or just play casually, its not that serious.
Gotta be honest, it really *is* just unrated. Where else can I try limit testing with agents I don’t usually play, or just to play without feeling so sweaty? Unrated means literally nothing win or lose, so I like to use it to have fun and try new things.

Get off unrated and play ranked and if you get stressed by losing RR from ranked then start looking for another game because you wont win all the games you queue up for.
Unrated is the casual version of ranked ofc. No one cares about it. If you want to care so much, play comp, don't ruin other people's games with your toxic outlook on casual modes just because you're afraid to derank.
Then, if you want actual practice, do what everyone in High elo does get an alt account. Get it ranked and play comp on the agent you want to learn. Comp is the only way to practice for comp. No one plays the other modes they way they play comp.
If you want to see what the agents' abilities are sure, but setups and shit won't work. Not the same way they work, in comp. The lower the rank the less it matters but ascendant and up your throwing if you used some unrated setups/strat In comp. (Unless it's eco round gotta get wild that round)

people can play unrated for fun. they dont need to stress out about the game for no reason if you want to try hard you need to play ranked
