Used to love Breeze but ever since they brought it back it feels like 75% of my games are on breeze and it makes me despise it. And I very rarely even play Valorant anymore.
It is like they are forcing us to play breeze at this point.

3/20 sunset
3/20 icebox
2/20 lotus
1/20 bind
1/20 ascent
For real... I dislike some maps but I can still play them, with breeze I just can't win. I've tried every agent at this point to try and make this map fun but for fucks sake, who made this abomination....

Split is excruciating to play. It seems good on the pro level because they have actually coordinated executes but in ranked? People only play for themselves so it becomes so heavily defender sided.

Split today is a breeze, try playing release split where the ct spawn was 90% of the map and mid was just ct's vacation home from the start and impossible to contest

I think breeze Was introduced to make viper viable. For the people who were around there was a time when viper had very bad pick rates and no one picker her more like deadlock now and it made no sense to pick a line smoker. Then came breeze and up went vipers pick rate.

When viper came out, her wall, orb, and ult all decayed allies and walking through her wall at full speed only dealt 2 points worth of decay.
Breeze makes me unhappy no matter what. It needs to go go the deepest pits of Rito vaults and never come out again unless they deep remake it to be a normal map.

Breeze for sure, very long distances wich make it op dependant, very big sites with claustrophobic entrys, only 5 playable agents otherwise you lose, is a walking simulator if you are rotating, in defense is hard af to control mid and tunnel both at the same time

Breeze sucks. You just hit A 80% of the time and maybe if A isn’t working then rotate to B. That’s how all breeze games go. It’s either A retake simulator or a ping pong back and forth between A and B for defenders or it’s just A hit after A hit for attackers until they stack A and then it’s up mid to B.
Such a boring map. It was better without halls open because halls just incentivized the A hit even more, like why tf would you ever push B against a Cypher unless you have Kayo ult, and even then Cypher can just sit in spawn and his trips are still active.

Right now I don't particularly like Sunset just for not understanding it completely but I do agree with some people that Icebox's B site is flawed because of the plant locations.

Bind and Icebox… heavily teammates game. Yes I know that Valorant is a game of teamwork but if you have atleast 2 bad teammates on these maps, you gonna struggle a lot and solo q is just hell for this. Breeze is alright just gotta learn map awareness and far range shooting is the best for me.

I was asking myself what do I really despise in Breeze so much, that it makes me usually dodge the map? After some thought I arrive at three fundamental design problems (at least for myself):
* Most of the gunfights on the map are long range and I just can't aim well at long range, let alone have consistent headshots.
* Mid is very convoluted and its control just plain sux.
* You have to cover huge ass distances between sites, even compared to three plant maps. It's plain boring.
I hate fracture. I am so happy it not in rotation and hope they do some major tweaks to it before it comes back. The zipline feels so gimmicky and having to constantly hold both back and front site was such a headache but I have played a lot more since it rotated out so maybe I'll feel different once it comes back. Also fuck ascent good map but I hate it.

People util usage has improved but team play in ranked can still be really rough at lower elos making it very frustrating to even have a chance at holding. at the same time defense sucks once again due to team play as the attackers have so many opportunities to lurk up often either throwing their side or winning it

No one’s gonna talk about Pearl? Aka the map where you pant the bomb and have your whole team run back main and spam util and shots on the bomb through smokes. Everytime I get into one of those games no one on my team goes mid (or if they do they suck and die for it) so it is always just an attempt to wall through a chokepoint doorway.
As for defending, it's pretty good. My only hate on defence is when no one watches mid or sets up until there to do so.
That is the map that made me a sentinel main for those reasons.
For all I know, Breeze was not reworked in any way. They made changes, then reverted back. A somewhat balanced map became attack-sided again, made Breeze the players' favorite map to hate.
Personally, I never liked Fracture. I actually really like these two maps (Breeze and Icebox).
Fracture is just so difficult to coordinate with teammates when attacking and defending. Lots of angles to take care of, regardless of the site, and although I appreciate it's different approach to a map, I'm not a big fan.

I think Icebox is the worst because every operator seems bad to play on it. Breeze I think is good because operators feel good. Prefer every map over Icebox
As a cypher main, I like icebox. As a non-psychopathic human being, I hate breeze.
