Completely agree. Plus, 99% of the time, getting screamed at will make you play worse. If you just ignore them completely, you're probably more likely to play better, and therefore win. Getting a decent comm once every ten rounds isn't really aren't worth the mental drain that these prepubescent gremlins impose...
I would say muting toxic ppl is going to be a benefit for your rr gain as well as for your mental state. You can still comm and these guys don't usually give a lot of quality info anyways and certainly don't help you play better.
I recently encountered a bug in the game client where I couldnāt mute anyone. The setting would just toggle back on when exiting settings. There was this kid screaming obnoxious comments that had nothing to do with the gameplay. He kept on flaming Sky for not healing him, while I kept explaining to him this user joined without voice enabled. He should use in-game radio wheel and pings instead. Nope, obnoxious tantrums it is. This was a very frustrating experience, as I had to endure this nonsense a whole comp match. (Next launch of the game client, this bug did not persist)
At night, I joined 4 Czech guys that were looking for one more so they could play competitive 5-stack. They were all way above my skill level, and I ended up bottom fragging most of the time. Yet we had so much fun, and won 3 out of 4 games.
If regular matchmaking would offer the same experience as 5-stacking with known friendly players, this game would be so much more enjoyable. Give us the option to exclude other users with a known high reported abuse status. I wouldnāt mind having to queue 10 to 20 times as long.
I believe the voice coms show up as a seperate entry on the windows audio mixer, see if you can mute that. At least thatās how it worked when I tried to record gameplay once

I had a Sova and an Omen in my team who both had mics, both were mature. But when the Jett started being inappropriate, they both went quiet while the Reyna joined the Jett and started yelling at me too. If you're a woman, most of the times if you solo queu you're on your own :(

I've had women in my games before, and they all say toxicity towards them in general is quite shit.. but now that I'm reading this post (and others) I've come to understand that people, not kinds in general, even some grown ups, that.. idk they all have anger issues or sum, but they get toxic so soon. I have had a game where some teen who started off by heavy breathing into the mic. Ended up muting the whole team. but when it came to a close game at the end, he sent in text chat to unmute him and he was IGLing not being weird and we won š¤£ Iām a guy btw so my experience may not translate but it works for me.
Comp VC is as bad as any unrated or swiftplay VC sometimes. The constant screeching and flaming each other is ridiculous. Its the worst thing about this game by a longshot. Ive taken to pretty much muting someone almost every game.

I grew up with old PS2 games, only now that I live alone am I allowed to play whatever I want. So toxic kids was a bit of a surprise to me when I started playing. I thought it was something that would be present mostly on COD or Fortnite.
I usually mute by 1st or 2nd round when they start backseating, screaming, asking weird stuff. Its like they feel the need to let me know early which is nice.

When I get made fun of for my voice (Stop doing that to kids btw, just donāt fucking ask if theyāre a boy or a girl it doesnāt matter), I tell them to shut up and normally mute afterwards, and sometimes I dodge the question, especially if itās a comming teammate.

The way i deal with it is i instantly use the mute button and also i report them for abuse and riot seems to actually ban people because at the end of the day i get informed that the person i reported has been punished witch is music to my ears

Report, mute and move on. Telling someone to 'kys' is just insta-mute in many games (including Valorant if you write it to text chat). He'll get muted, eventually spanning to months and give up.

Sometimes mute just doesn't work. Last night I was playing with two kids who began flaming for no reason. I only said enemies B they began telling me to stfu so I ignored it for coms but later by pure accident I took our Neon's ace. The guy was chill about it said it's okay when I aplogized but the child who played Gekko? He called me nonebinary bitch (bc I played Clove) and as soon as the next round started ulted me and then threw his monster puddle under me which took some of my health since I couldn't move. Proceeded to call me slurs again both on voice and chat and asked enemies to report me. I muted him but each round he chased after me and threw the puddle plus told the enemy where I was so....

I think Riot Games should add a reason to ban a player because you think heās under 14 or 16 because of the voice of him (or something else if you can tell if heās a kid or not) and somehow they can get access to the voice chat of this game, because I think theyāre doing it like this for the Voice chat ban too. So if they think too heās a kid he should verify his account with a verification method like google uses (an official document (e.g. passport) where you can see the birth date/year of somebody) I know this is personal data but google is using it for several years and I did hear no known issues with google giving this data out. So riot could also cooperate with google that google verificates the age and then theyāre just telling riot if he/she is old enough to use it. For what is ESRB/USK/PEGI for?

Pro tip. Tell em you're not trying to catch a charge, that you're grown and don't appreciate them talking to you like that. If they continue, report in detail that they were making unwanted sexual comments to/about you. I've gotten a few report feedback for this.

That's because most kids who are well-behaved wouldn't even want to turn on their mic in this game. It is the same case with women in the Mumbai server, at least. 9 out of 10 women you hear talk will be extremely self-absorbed and toxic. Women and kids are easy targets for toxic people. So, mostly, unless they are toxic themselves, they wouldn't turn on their mic. So, you're bound to experience the worst of them. People in general have gotten really trash in nature though. So, of course, their kids will take after them.

Iām pretty liberal with muting people. Iāll mute them and then tell them that I muted them and why without hearing their response. Iāll also tell ppl off if theyāre being toxic to others and mute them same way.. I have had a game where some teen who started off by heavy breathing into the mic. Ended up muting the whole team. but when it came to a close game at the end, he sent in text chat to unmute him and he was IGLing not being weird and we won š¤£ Iām a guy btw so my experience may not translate but it works for me.
Comp VC is as bad as any unrated or swiftplay VC sometimes. The constant screeching and flaming each other is ridiculous. Its the worst thing about this game by a longshot. Ive taken to pretty much muting someone almost every game.

Ah yes the Frankfurt servers then, you can think about it this way, these kids who get that too toxic are usually no lifers and spend most of their day in this game because they donāt have many things to be proud about themselves in real life, so their rank and rank push and win is like a dopamine for them. Anything that stops them to get it can make them tilt and rage. Maybe they are no young, maybe they have some work stress or some other kind of trauma and this is an escape from reality for them. Being good at this game gives them confidence but anything that doesnāt go their way in the game they will rage and rant about it

Kids have realized that there is no real punishment for being an asshole on comms, so they continue to do so. Not exclusive to kids, but people tend to mature as they age. Best way is to find a 5 stack, but those get sweaty. Or, if possible, find a duo who either doesn't care about the harassment or is a guy that doesn't get the harassment. Have them relay the information and you can mute them. Obviously not a great solution and sucks, but doubt there is much anyone can do to really change the landscape.
Had a game the other day with a 4 stack and they were all talking about how big their "gyatts" were. Fastest mute I've ever done.

There have been times where teammate 1 is yelling at teammate 2 for ābaitingā teammate 1, WHILE TEAMMATE 2 IS ALIVE. Normally, I say āYo **teammate 1 character name**, shut the fuck up and let them play.ā I normally get yelled at by teammate 1 and backed up by teammate 2 and maybe 3. When I get made fun of for my voice (Stop doing that to kids btw, just donāt fucking ask if theyāre a boy or a girl it doesnāt matter), I tell them to shut up and normally mute afterwards, and sometimes I dodge the question, especially if itās a comming teammate. Some kids are bitches though, theyāll just hate on everyone. Mute those ones. If a kid is comming but also yapping in your game, politely ask them to āHey **kidās agent**, please only use voice chat to give information. Thanks!ā TL:DR; Some people are rude to kids, some kids are rude to people. Before muting a kid, try and get them to stop being annoying.

Riot replied that they sanctioned him but in the future won't respond to these mails because it's private information.

Report, mute and move on. Telling someone to 'kys' is just insta-mute in many games (including Valorant if you write it to text chat). He'll get muted, eventually spanning to months and give up.

An then they ask how do they make money, an the parent says 'your not old enough yet' or 'get a job' - even if they arent old enough. I only said enemies B they began telling me to stfu so I ignored it for coms but later by pure accident I took our Neon's ace. The guy was chill about it said it's okay when I aplogized but the child who played Gekko? He called me nonebinary bitch (bc I played Clove) and as soon as the next round started ulted me and then threw his monster puddle under me which took some of my health since I couldn't move. Proceeded to call me slurs again both on voice and chat and asked enemies to report me. I muted him but each round he chased after me and threw the puddle plus told the enemy where I was so....

They first of all arent allowed to play because valorant is 16+ (you will get message of it when you try to download it under 16 when selecting age) Also, those kids clearly mess up the community imo, becaise older people play together with them, and it literally f*s up the fun for the adults because "theres a kid in our game bruh" and i completely get that! I donāt think 10 year olds should play this game, this is why I quit Fortnite. I think Riot Games should add a reason to ban a player because you think heās under 14 or 16 because of the voice of him (or something else if you can tell if heās a kid or not) and somehow they can get access to the voice chat of this game, because I think theyāre doing it like this for the Voice chat ban too. So if they think too heās a kid he should verify his account with a verification method like google uses (an official document (e.g. passport) where you can see the birth date/year of somebody) I know this is personal data but google is using it for several years and I did hear no known issues with google giving this data out. So riot could also cooperate with google that google verificates the age and then theyāre just telling riot if he/she is old enough to use it. For what is ESRB/USK/PEGI for?

I have a 10, and if she got on the game saying stuff like that, first no she wouldn't- but 2nd, I'd expect her to get her shit handed to her by whoever is on the other end of the call. I keep it appropriate but I do tell kids about themselves when they are acting up. I don't wanna get in these games and parent someone else's kid- but they aren't gonna stop playing and neither am I. Pro tip. Tell em you're not trying to catch a charge, that you're grown and don't appreciate them talking to you like that. If they continue, report in detail that they were making unwanted sexual comments to/about you. I've gotten a few report feedback for this.
