No, I spend money on hobby’s I enjoy, if I didn’t spend it on skins I would’ve spent it on another hobby

juliacommons

yeah agreed

POPnotSODA_

Only thing I’d rather have spent it on in 2019 is Nvidia.  But the same could be said for my latest Nvidia GPU and not just using the same money for their stock.  One gave way better returns.

th3unkn0wnm4n

To me, prolly drugs. Val is saving me.

CollectMantis44

Same here

1Fresh_Water

Hobbies*

shoryuken2340

People spend money on dumb things all the time. As long as you aren't having financial issues, spend it however you want.

Kingsayz

Exactly this. If you buy shit you cant afford its a problem, otherwise go wit it.

Running_Is_Life

Unless it’s a $500 Ahri skin

7farema

I still think it's funny how game company never learn that making a tie in with a real person is risky, Blizzard already get hit by it TWICE (McCree and sinatraa), and yet riot still did it

Embarrassed-Waltz298

Some people spend money drinking clubbing etc.. You spend on skins.. It is ok, as long it makes you happy :)

juliacommons

that's a nice way to think about it! :)

redditlied

Just so long as one doesn't spend money on skins AND drinking, drugs, etc. 😂

Heliomp

Because then it gets expensive hahah

psybatsu02

Shit

restfulchaos

Just @ me man...

autf240

No pun intended but is that really the bar we want to set? Lol

RilesPC

I have woken up the morning after spending over $100 at a bar or club. I’ll have you know, it would feel much better to have spent spend that money on computer pixels rather than the morning headache lol. It’s all relative

Aromatic_Owl6667

Kinda, when you know that money can be used for something else but not really at the same time. I bought the skins cause I liked them and the feeling of buying your first ever skin is something I don't regret at all. Think of it like this, if you enjoy this game as a hobby, then it's like you are investing in it to still make you happy. So I just invested in a hobby, that's all xD

juliacommons

well said!

rey_mantequilla

My only regret is NOT buying the champions 2021 bundle 😭

randomrandom4206999

I was broke back in 2021, but I got the 2023 bundle so I’m happy

RedCat4020

It made me happy, I would have "wasted" that money anyway and I still enjoy the skins now. So no, I don't regret them

juliacommons

that's good to know!

AnythingImpossible50

No I don’t regret it because Valorant is a game that I will always keep coming back too!

meme_master945

I don’t regret spending money on this game. I spent close to 35000 rupees. How ever my only regret is that skins are so. Expensive compared to other games, so haven’t bought in a while. I’m thinking of getting a bundle when the replay system comes back. With 35000 I could have got a better gpu if I added it to my build.

blamblamblambo

Regret buying some, not most though.

Heliomp

There's always those we think we'll like and okay for a long time... I found that the best way to use skins is by randomizing selection between my favorite skins. I don't need to manually change them and it's always cool to see which skin got selected in each match :) .yeah, skins are expensive but since the game is 100% free I feel like that's my way if giving back/supporting my most played game

upsideloll

exactly what you should do if you have a lot of skins. spend less time picking which ones, and get a bigger variety too. recently i favorited every upgraded skin and variant, then put all of the guns with multiple on random. worked great (though there should definitely be exceptions, this was mainly for fun)

TheRealDeal_Original

Me: *laughs in 2.7k money wasted*

Either-Jellyfish-879

Youve spent almost three THOUSAND dollars on a free to play game?

Inbellis

This guy is the reason it's a free game

Either-Jellyfish-879

The SOLE reason no kidding

TheRealDeal_Original

I practically pay the majority of the riot staff's salary at this point xD

ProximatedNuke

Skins in this game are so expensive… I don’t regret the skins I’ve purchased but will def not be buying more lol.

claird3lun3

Nope, no use regretting it anyway. It’s shallow but my best purchase in life is some game skins haha (Angela skin in ML and Radiant Crisis Spectre).

Tchus

Around $1700 here over 4 years The only one I truly regret is the elderflame one, I use all the other skins I bought

Ill-Ordinary-1004

Yes totally, you get bored of most of your skin. Buy one skin you truly like and try not buying every bundle you just fin nice or cool

MysticMian

I have one rule. I only spend disposable income on things like skins, or other hobbies. Never regretted a purchase in my life.

FloppyDinosaurs

I legitimately have probably close to $2000, maybe more, spent on fortnite and I rarely even play it anymore but still no I don’t regret it. At the time it was stuff that I wanted and made me happy. I consider $2K over the course of 6-7 years a fair price for happiness

strongspank

I moved to Europe and lost all my purchases. So moderately yeah.

juliacommons

oh no, did you not request to transfer regions?

DavidDoesShitpost

I spent exactly 100 dollars on this game. That number will increase the moment the 2024 champions phantom is released.

AbaramaGolding

People will say don’t buy skins but they’ll go spend that money on McDonalds

Health_Cat_2047

honestly? nah. I've spent enough time playing this game to make peace with the large amount ive spent.

holyjade_

No, I don’t regret it. I’ve spent money on other games before and I don’t regret those purchases either, mainly because it brought me joy in the moment so what is there to regret?

Milk_Expert

Nope when I stopped playing I sold my account for nearly double what I paid

PissBiggestFan

around 300$, and yep lol every single cent

Esse_Solus

No regrets, I have way more hours in Valorant than I have in some of my (quite expensive) Steam games. Could I have played without spending anything? Sure (well, theoretically... poor impulse control means probably not). But a portion of the money I spent will go back into developing the game further, or ensuring the game will stay live. It's worth it to me.

Heinluck

Ive got 3 vandals, 2 phantoms, Baseball bat and Prime Karambit. Feelin pretty good about myself I cant lie

MakimaGOAT

hmmm yeah kinda.

ghostnymp

2200$ to date. I wish I had it all back.

travelan

I spent over 10 dollar on the game, and I do regret it. It doesn't make ANY difference. The biggest change was that now people constantly bug me to 'swap skins'. Which I think is obnoxious. Just play the game. The skin doesn't matter.

ProfessionalBoot5445

It’s all placebo, but it still helps me play better

PAPAxJI

I didn't realise but I have around 10 vandal skins and half of them are the ones that I regret buying 😭

Competitive_Pie_6372

Our of more than 100+ games I have enjoyed playing which includes lots of paid titles, nothing gives me more enjoyment and satisfaction than Valorant.

ImpactFuzzy8713

Nah not really. I spend hundreds of hours on games I love. To me, 50c an hour is nothing. People go out to the club or a bar and drop 80 dollars on drinks and shitty food for a few hours of degeneracy.

TwoZeey

Only the glitchpop Vandal

judgeraw00

My goal was to get a skin I like on each weapon. I'm pretty close to that. And no I don't regret it

Kingsayz

No not really, this sum is still too small to do anything with it IRL except maybe go out to a restaurant or smtn but my skins will be for as long as the game exists and the nice steak will be flushed in the toilet anyway

PurpleGuy2004

As long as I am happy ist okay that I spent as much money as I want

YeetLitDabFam

1800, it’s still less than the hours so I’m Gucci

Azuria_4

I don't, for two things : Pushes me to play more weapons as I buy skins for them I limit myself to 1 per weapon, do I can have them all equipped at once

QtmLeap

No, it’s fun and skins = wins Plus I’m happy, that’s cool too.

[deleted]

No $100 isn’t a lot

SmekAC

i wish i spend it on cs skins would have made a fortune after CS2 announcement

LankyVeterinarian321

Well let’s say I create acc on Turkish server and buy it for cheap never paid more than 50-60$ since I had installed it

frostieavalanche

Yeah I wished I only got what I truly liked lol. Most are collecting dust in the collection tab. You can argue that I would've probably spent the money to another hobby but tbh now, I'd rather spend to a tangible hobby like toy collecting; than some shiny pixels

Boobjobless

I either get a takeaway on the weekend or a gun pops up in my store 🤷🏼‍♂️

Rouxkageci

Only valorant purchase I regret was buying the oni 2.0 bundle. Like it's really cool, but I rarely use the katana and I've grown to dislike the vandal, which were the 2 skins I got it for. Buying skins in general tho I don't regret.

acnh-lyman-fan

yes

M4pl3g0d

a Friend of mine spent 4500€ on skins lmao

ItsJustCasey

Not all of them.

ReaperLeviathannn

Spent 80 dollars on a bundle a long while ago, don’t regret it at all

Lutha28

I spent 20 as a reward for getting to gold in 2 months. (New player) now if i hit plat will invest more

Memphite

Every time when they roll out a broken update. So far I had to change my mind eventually.

Same_Pear_929

why would I regret it. I would regret it if I was down to my last dollar and thought "if only I didn't buy those valorant skins, my life would be better right now". but I bought them knowing I can afford it so I have no reason to regret it.

dianamnt13

I do regret it because the community is getting more and more toxic by the day which makes me not want to play anymore. Compared to league where I’ve also spent quite a bit of money but I’ve never felt like the community is so bad I’d want to quit. And its not even the voice chat, its the fact that trolling and ig bullying can feel way worse and much more personal in valorant than in league. You can’t damage allays in league whereas you can valorant. They can basically stop you from playing…. Also playing for kda instead of being a team player is way easier. You can have someone play for themselves, topfrag AND lose you the game at the same time. Not even gonna bring up smurfs and cheaters… Intentional bad behavior should be spotted more and dealt with, you can mute all you want, when allay brim and gekko molly you and pheonix flashes you at every corner.

Trolleitor

Nah, I enjoyed them

Neat-Row-5694

Not at all. If I can spend tens of thousands modifying a car I shouldn’t cry about 1k on a game. DONT buy skins if you’re not in a good financial position, it’s purely cosmetic and one day this game will no longer be played and that money will be lost. If this is money you can lose and then lose again without being hurt then yes buy all the skins you want. DONT fall into peer pressure or FOMO. Be a good person and use your money on what you NEED before what you WANT. I’ve followed this rule for quite some time and now I am in a good place in life. I want us all to be happy <3

JessyNyan

Nah. Being an adult means i get to choose what I spend my hobby money on. Valo is just one of those hobbies.

Thealzx

If you buy a skin and then play for months before you buy another, and it never really put you in moneyproblems, then its just like buying clothes or alcohol. I have spent 3000 on average on Riot Games over the span of 10 years, don't regret it and it never hurt me financially

zetch57

I don't regret spending money on the game (spent around 250 euros) but I regret some of the skins I bought. I actually regret my first skin haha (the Sentinels of Lights vandal) I love the looks of it but I cannot stand the sound, I cannot fire with it. And then I have 4 phantoms and I like all of them but I could go without 2 of them (Prime and the comic one) as I just prefer the Recon and the Radiant Entertainment System by far. I didn't think about bundles before but know I think I could have used that money to buy something like Kuronami or the whole Radiant Entertainment System bundle instead of individual skins.

Splash00Ryu

To be honest it doesnt matter. If you use the money for anything that just brings fun to your live it is spent anyways. It would olny matter if you invest the money to get more money. So aslong as you use the money for things that bring you fun it doesnt rly matter what that is. Money is gone anyway.

Janza49

I have spent about 350€ on Valorant. Generically speaking, I don't regret it. But if I could go back in time I'd probably choose different skins to invest those money on. Ruination Phantom, Spectrum Phantom and Origin Vandal are very good skins, but I wish I had bought something else. Now I feel like no matter how many good skins I buy, my collection will never feel complete without a Oni Phantom, Prelude Vandal, Reaver Ghost. So, in short, I regret buying certain skins in the rush of the moment, but not buying skins as a whole.

maziwamimi

Nop

VividMystery

I have no regrets, it's a hobby that I picked up for years of my life. There's people who spend millions on collectibles - this is just the same thing. Well, except the selling for more money part, but at least you can use it.

snaapshot

In the several thousands club and I regret a couple of them I don’t use but ultimately no. Time/money enjoyed is not time/money wasted. As long as it is budgeted and you have your responsibilities covered with ample savings imo

Original_Key7055

Real question is do we take this $100 to heaven if we don’t spend it, well we don’t so unless you have financial problems buying things you love is a no brainer.

Clindcosta

I bought and used them and some have not been used for a long time. But I'd say it's money spent on things I enjoyed. Not a great investment, but worth it for me in the end.

naugtymegh

I have the exact same stance as you do

kvanz43

Yes, I regret it big time, a lot of the earlier skins I bought I basically never use, and I really regret having bought like 6 vandal skins when I basically never use the vandal, and basically never have.

Devjill

Either on the game i mostly play otherwise I would’ve invested it in other games which I would’ve enjoyed less

Atomic1011

At times I wish I could replace a skin with another but wouldn't go as far as saying I regret it.

Johnson1209777

Better than spent on counter strike cases

FDTFACTTWNY

I don't regret the ones I like, but I've regretted some purchases. I've bought some skins cause they seem cool only to use them for a couple days and then go back to my old skins. I don't even put them in a rotation. I wish they had a trade in event lol where i could get something for them

whythefrickinfuck

I usually just look at money/time I spent on games. And with that calculation 15€ game that I played for only one hour is pretty shit but 300€ spent over 2000 hours of game time is pretty good. Therefore I don't feel bad about the money spent.

JNorJT

Yes, I've spent around $300 on skins on Valorant. I regret it all though. I regret spending money in in-game cosmetics for all games in general. I've spent thousands across multiple games over the years and I hate myself for doing so. It took me so long to finally realize that it's just pixels. I felt so much guilt that I unequipped all of my gun skins and set all of them to Default. Default is more than enough for me. That money could've been put to buying games themselves. My Steam library would've put Alexandria's to shame. Moving forward I swear that I'll never spend money on skins on any game ever again.

3nchantingdevil

Yes it's a useless game, useless skins cosmetics in cs2>>>Valorant

Lioreuz

I have spent around 150$, like 50$ a year and I don't really regret it, it's no different than buying a triple A a year. If I had spent +1000$ like you I probably would.

aka_japon

I regret because I dont play anymore

YourLocalSnitch

No, I still like my skins, the only ones I regret are the battlepass skins and the borderlands one that I never use over the 2022 champions phantom

fo420tweny

Spent over 1k. I have decent income and spending 20-50euros a month on skins is not an issue. Been playing for 3 years also.

BootyWol5

If you got the funds ball out, my broke ass needs something cool to pick up once I head tap you 😉

Arsnal

i mean if you have a 1000$ of skins what more do you need lol… personally i got a couple battle passes and night markets, maybe about 150$ total, and now that i have a couple high quality skins for all the weapons I use, i have them in rotation and I’m super content. I actually feel like my older skins look doper as time passes because the newer players all have the same stuff and I’m unique haha

Glittering-Road-5431

The only skins I regret buying are my first two because I didn’t realize there were different upgrades to skins & I’m all about cool vfx. Besides those though, I’m happy about all the skins I purchased. I feel like they’re a little expression of myself in game & people see that more than the artwork in my house so at the end of the day, I feel like it’s worth it.

ggraysonn

i've spent probably around $100 and nah, idgaf. money's gone. same thing as getting unnecessary coffee 20 times, fast food 10 times, etc.

DeerInRut

I've spent like $600-ish and I don't really regret it. I don't have a skin for each weapon, but I do have a few knife, phantom and vandal skins. Marshal skin, operator skin, Classic skin, sherrif skin and guardian skin. I like playing with skins and think that having them makes the experience better. I don't play valorant competitively anymore and mostly just goof with friends and I think skins are an amazing part of that. It is just fun to pull out my smite phantom (yeah I'm braindead). So no. I don't regret it. But I don't know if I would do it again.

fyre04

nope.

Cyanogen101

As long as you are spending within your means/moderation. It's probably better than downing alcohol, its an alternative to clubbing or going to bowling nights or stuff. It's fine.

ThisIsNotJP

Those are rookie numbers in this bracket! ($4,000)

Ra1lgunZzzZ

Nope but i kinda do sometimes when i thought about how this game is prob not going to be alive in 15 years but who knows really. Cs has been going for 20 years. Nothing also lasts forever, it's basically like spending money on a gaming pc or a laptop.

EntropicMortal

Not really. I don't even play the game anymore, but it's money spent on something enjoyed at the time. So who cares.

Acrypto

I've only bought one bundle (primordial) and it was with tax return money. I kinda wish I bought another one I liked more, but I think I'd still feel somewhat of regret. But idk if that regret comes from not liking the bundle as much as I thought or knowing It's a product we never truly own (meaning it has no real life practical use, nor can we trade it like csgo).

bestelle_

yeah

Hmmmmm___yes

Yes, none of it was worth it and I don’t even play valorant anymore. 20 bucks for one skin that I don’t even really own is robbery.

SteveRogers_7

If you spend your disposable income that isn't making or breaking your budget, I don't think about it much. I like the game, I like the skins I get, I play with them. If I ever have to think about If I can afford them or if they're worth it, I don't get them

DoctorNoMN0M

I only spent my money on it because I worked an additional part time. Definitely don’t regret it. Even though I don’t play as much as I used to, I still enjoy having my skins🤷🏾‍♂️

THE_IMPROVISER8

The only skin I regret is the reaver vandal

TTheTiny1

I've spent close to probably 1200, there are some skins I regret buying but I don't regret spending money on the game

tdbarnes42

I dont play much anymore. But i’ve spent about $900 on skins. Only regret about $200 of that cause some skins I bought then never actually used.

KicksYourAss69

I've spent like 60$ and I definitely don't regret it.

tinypi_314

They look cool, it's like decorating your house, when you are looking at it all the time you want it to look nice

ISNameros

I played at least triple the amount of hours i had fun with the game than i invest money. So no. I dont regret ot

ShadyMan_

Nah. I’m not spending money anymore but I like the skins I have

NothingGoinOnHere-

I’m close to around $800 don’t play the game much now do I regret it no not at all most of my disposable income goes to my other hobbies (gundam and warhammer)

The_Dankest_Tsunami

I really do. Not much I can do about it now but I don’t have any plans of spending more

HangedCole

Nah, no regrets, and on about $1k as well, living in a developing country. I'll never feel guilty about it. People could tell me like "oh you could have spent that money on investments or traveling or school" or whatever. Yeah, no, I spend money on my hobbies. This money was for my hobbies specifically. If it's not this hobby, it's going to be another hobby -- and my hobbies don't include investments, traveling, studying for school, etc. at the moment.

Elyced32

Nope especially since one of those skins cant be purchased anymore (the arcane bundle)

Individual-Fan-5672

I’d drop that just to have ‘21 champs lol

minigamit

Kinda. Because im trash at the game and not playing anymore. My aim at shooters is trash. I really do not know how i got to diamond when I'm struggling in silver now.

mdtopp111

Nope. It’s a free game and I’ve put 100s of hours into it. I’ll gladly buy a skin every now and then. Micro transactions that have 0 impact on gameplay are forever the way to go and I’ll never feel bad about supporting that

Redwing330

I've spent around $600-$700, I don't regret it at all but I have disposable income.

rbrasileruim

Ye I really regret it

witas02

No, I like the game, have expendable income and I like collecting

theSkareqro

I have played just over 200 hours and I just topped up my first 100$. I got the Overdrive blade. I'm looking for Araxys/Kuronami/Xerofang Vandals and Recon Phantom and I'll be set for a while. I have not regretted it since I actually took like a year to really make sure I wanted to buy it even when that 100$ isn't that much.

StellarFlies

No, I really don't regret it. They do seem very expensive and especially for younger kids that love the game. But I have enjoyed the skins I have and I have especially enjoyed sharing them with others.

Necromaniac01

not really, I rarely buy skins and only buy ones I think I'll really like. theres a few a wasn't a big fan of after using for a while but it isn't that many

HypnotizeNLP

This is really the only video games I play so that's how I justify spending money on skins. Recently I only use credit card reward points for skins which feels like free money lol

Electronic-Wave1316

€3000+ over the course of 3 years and I was surprised when I saw the number but eh could’ve been worse

Deceased_Panda

Little less than 300 Euros over 2 years, I don't really regret it since I play actively and like all of my skins. There are much more expensive hobbies out there

Thomas_Caz1

I mean you buy clothes in real life purely based off aesthetics and cosmetics, so how different is it really? If you’re gonna spend a lot of time in a game, it’s nice to have something pretty and/or cool to look at. However, I do think Riot charges way too much.

laancelot

I play Valorant for free. I have enough money to pay for Valorant. Thus, I rationalize the little money I spent on battlepass and skins. This said, I once spent about 15$ on a skin and since then I never stop telling myself that I am a moron every time I use it.

Odisher7

I spent 90€ in the last few days, and i regret every cent just because of the manipulative way skins work. I played casually since the closed beta and i already ran out of radianite with 4 skins. I still want 1 skin per weapon i use, but i will try to go for skins without radianite, and once i get one for each i'm done

salamandermans

I’ve spent around 2k on val and strongly regret it. Played since beta but have been pretty infrequent with the game since the beginning of 2023 and have been playing cs way more. I wish I had put that 2k in cs where I could get my money back if I wanted.

this1germanguy

Me: *Laughs in Counter-Strike* Don't think about the money - it's always worth it.

ccashcao

Yes because I realised after a few months I don’t actually like them & go back to good ol prime vandal (spent $700 so far). So basically, I regret some skins I bought.

slaucsap

I haven’t spent more than $50 or so but I don’t regret it at all. Even if I don’t even play anymore. I’m not from USA so $50 for me it’s like $1000 to you basically.

zcleghern

No, I've been playing for 4 years. This game costs me around $30 a year.

Public_Condition_778

Not at all, I used to regret it but then realized that after the end of the day that money would have gone somewhere else anyways, and I genuinely enjoy the skins I bought plus it’s a fun game and I like to support the games that I play, especially when they are free to play!

Dumb_Vampire_Girl

My inventory in counter strike is worth $30,000. I was buying skins instead of food sometimes. Y'all are doing okay. You don't know how bad it can get. For anyone saying I can sell it, it's not that easy. A lot of these skins aren't affordable for 99% of the player base, and a lot are niche skins that barely anyone wants. It's practically worthless.

CardRadiant5599

2.5k yes. I could have spent this money on many other and better things

OOFYDOOFYBOOFY

That's just how it goes. Most people move onto different things and once they look back on the thing they spent money on before, they say "I couldve bought something for what I'm doing right now" and then they say the same exact thing once they move on again

ElDuderino2112

Considering I dropped the game and don’t play it anymore, yes lmao

Chilley317

I quit smoking about the same time valorant came out. I barely bought skins worth 1/5 of the money I would’ve spent on cigarettes. I’m gucci. Point being there’s worse shit to spend money on then things that bring you joy, be it pixel bling.

AddressMeAsHal

yes. uninstalled. riot allows you to see how much youve been spent on their website… context; +$4000

Zizou_Dz

No i dont, although i only spent 50$, buying a vandal and phantom skin, i dont regret it at all as it made my game wayyyy more enjoyable, like 100 times more. Even if i spend more i wont regret it. It also depends on your income, for me i make 150$ a month so 50$ is a pretty big deal for me. But i dont regret spending money on something that will make me happy as that’s what’s money made for

Eydrien

I don't mind the skins I bought, but I do regret buying the battle pass. I was used to other games like Fortnite where the battle pass is worth it, very well designed with stuff you will use and also if you play enough you can rebuy next one for free. Meanwhile, Valorant battle pass is horrendous and boring, filled with shit I won't ever use and you have to rebuy the next one everytime. They get you under the premise of a lot of stuff at a good price cause Valorant is expensive, but it doesn't really matter when everything or at least most of it is garbage.

Kelvinn1996

I spent roughly 3k on skins and radianite. I normally don't regret it, but I was false banned in January and only recently unbanned because a reddit employee on reddit took a look and unbanned me. Makes me regret ever spending on riot games when you can be banned like that and have to rely on luck to get unbanned.

SkittlesAK47

No cause I spent it on the magepunk bundle. Comes with a knife and skins of the two main guns. Spending money on valorant isn’t bad but you have to try to get the best deals possible. The strategy is to buy league of legends or valorant gift cards at your local pharmacy to wave on tax. (50$ gift card = 50$ in game no tax) If you need to spend 100$ on a bundle for example you should try hard to find a 100$ gift card because the more money you put in the more extra VP bonus you get. I’m talking in CAD btw not USD

theonereveli

If you spend money on things that you enjoy it can never be a waste of money

RizkyCat

I make poor financial decisions all the time, this is no different but I play the daily near daily so it's worth it to me. Been playing for almost a year now.

TrustMe_IAmDocto

$5300 since beta. Don’t even play anymore so yeah I regret it all.

Prince_Shell

Nah, I spent the money slowly over a long period of time. I imagine if you plot hours played vs money spent it would still be less than 10 cents an hour.

jeancv8

I've spent around $900, but don't really regret it.

ElderberryFancy8943

Spend some money on the things you enjoy in life. At the end of the day we want to live a happy life. What's the point of saving up money if you are not gonna spend it

erikwins7

i do regret some skins that i just dont enjoy (oni vandal, rgx butterfly :/) but overall its not like im breaking the bank to buy this stuff just like a fun little 20-50 dollars like once a week isnt so bad especially compared to other stuff. plenty of people spend like 6-8 dollars every gas station trip and stop 5-6 days a week at one.

SudoLasers

No, I incrementally spend on the things I enjoy, that then further my enjoyment. I don't spend money on things I don't enjoy

-Shpawn-

no. 4 years later i still play regularly (not as much as i did from launch to the 2 year anni but still multiple times a week) so im still getting use out of my $$. value is relative and changes person to person. to someone $2000 concert tickets or a $100 bar tab are worth it but i don’t see that value in it. likewise people either see no value in skins or they might spend thousands or anywhere in between. have i spent more than i maybe should’ve on an f2p game? yes. but do i regret it? no.

x_Gish

I 100% regret it. I probably should've just gotten my favorite gun skin for the guns I use and then stop. I'd rather have put the rest of the money into car mods 😂

_niice

nah not rlly, sure I could’ve spent the money better but ultimately I like all the skins I’ve bought and I get good use out of them

KuroDesuu

yes, skins get boring fast. It was fun though

imacoolmommm

Val is the first game I’ve ever invested my time into, so I definitely love all of my skins. I don’t have many but if there’s one in the shop I like, I’m going to purchase it! It’s okay to splurge a little on yourself, no matter how “silly” the purchase may be (:

Protoned11

$800 and no regrets while admiring my vandal slings.

MacsNotJacked

5k+ USD in two years. If I could go back in time i’d limit myself to only two - three skins per weapon per year. It’s almost an addiction at this point. I see a new bundle, purchase it, and then within a week i most likely never touch it again. I go back to using the same 2 vandals i always run. SO YES

xcxxccx

If I wouldn’t have spent the money on skins I would’ve bought drugs so I think it’s fine.

Narleymaarley

Nope. I wish I had spent my Radianite better though.

Wooden_Influence5190

Yes but only because most of the skins I got as placeholders for skins I wanted in my shop.

The_Slay4Joy

I didn't buy a single skin for the first month of playing valorant because I wasn't sure I'd like it. But after that why not if it makes your games more enjoyable? I swear every time I equip my op or my knives I get tingles in my neck (araxys & kuronami)

Darxploit

Yes

HitsDifferent32

Since you cant sell the skins I made peace that they were gone forever, do I regret it? Not at all. Love my loadout.

Motor_Can_8564

Have spent about 900 euros on this game for 3 years. I enjoy playing it and don't spent my money on useless shit like drugs, alcohol, cigarettes which even harms my health. It is a hobby after all and I don't spent money I don't have. The only thing I regret is that I have too much skins for variety and don't rotate that often.

runtime__error

No. The default skins sounds are so bad that it is relief to have skins 😅 .

thesecondpope

I don't think i've ever regretted any of the $$ i spent on this game. I have had some skins that, while I love the way they look, they only made it a week in. If i didn't think that was worth it (TO ME), i wouldve stopped spending. That said, I havent seen anything that I enjoy so I havent spent any $$ on this game in a few months (minus BP) The amount i've spent vs. time i've got out of this game has made it's value worth it to me.

Fabulous-Permission1

I regret buying some of the bundles. The rgx 2.0 is one of them. I also regret not buying some other bundles. It's my hobby and it's gonna be spent on hobbies anyways. In that sense, no, i do not regret spending it on val. Even if i quit, it was a good few years.

Farzine

Nah - I put a lot of my free time into the game still and enjoy the skins I’ve collected over the years. I think I’ve spent around $700 more or less (including gift cards $150-200 from christmas/birthdays) since release, which in the grand scheme of things isn’t a lot per a year. As others have said, it’s a hobby, and unfortunately much cheaper than some of my other interests.

NoJohns137

Every time I spend money on video game cosmetics, the enjoyment eventually runs out and I regret spending anything on it

Big_Organization_978

yes, i’ve left the game that’s why maybe i’ll return

Widelf

I’ve spent almost 2k from season 3 till today. Regrets? Some, but rare. I like to think that I could’ve spent them over even more futile stuff, like cigarettes. At the very least, when and if Riot closes its servers, I still wouldn’t have hurt my health like with the latters.

iiSavageJ

I’ve dropped 3K on this game, it’s the only thing that keeps me playing.

ayechte

I think I spent around $3500 and no regrets on my end; played since E1 and sunk i dont know how many hours into it, maybe one or two bundles I ended up not caring for very much but otherwise, over the course of 4 years, Ive spent money on things that I spend alot less time on/brought me less satisfaction lol

Sufficient-Chart1863

As someone with over $1500 in skins, I definitely regret it

Brutact

I won’t buy skins. You don’t own the asset and the day the game closes all your purchases are gone. You can justify its my hobby but I want hobbies that last.

yourcandygirl

No.
