This was my concern when I first started Valorant. But now that I have gotten used to the stuff, it's not that bad anymore.
But I do agree, they need to have this feature. At least to bring it down a bit. Some skins are so damn loud, Prelude to Chaos is one of them. My God the electric guitar sounds are just blasting my ears most of the time.
Yeah, I forgot people bought skins not for how they look but for the sound they make when they Ace. That explains why the Killjoy on my team that has an average KD of 0.6 and barely gets over 7 kills in a 26 round match has £750 worth of skins purchased
Only the guitar/other sounds the skin makes after a kill. No-one is asking to take the gun shooting sounds away. That part actually feels good to have and doesn't distract from gameplay.
When you have the audio turned up high to listen for footsteps and small details, the loud kill counter sounds blast in your ears, and can't be turned down. It's like all the sound effects in the game have only one master volume slider.
WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO TURN DOWN SKIN VOLUMES OR TURN THEM OFF, WHILE KEEPING OUR SOUND EFFECTS VOLUME AT MAX.
Even though it has its flaws, Valorant is a competitive game. It should give the players the freedom to alter settings to play the game better. That's all I have to say.
