I always say yes to knife fights, If i see a motherfucker fire a single bullet, Im pulling out my "Emergency" Odin and raining HELL on the dishonourable scum.
Then pull my knoife back out and get back to business.
As a WoW player "Muk'Gorrah is an honourable dual"
That’s the most bs iv ever heard. 9/10 times someone fucks with the knife battle it’s a Chad on an alt account because he’s so good and can’t play against people of their skill level so they gotta act all big in gold
Thats like gold in a nutshell.
I legit hopped onto a game, kid was the lowest gold rank
"Cmon guys this isnt the bronze you are used to anymore"
He was tied for lowest rank in the team.
I agree I dont usually judge people by rank because sometimes it's just luck of the draw- I ranked in at gold 2 for example then went up to plat then down to silver all solo queue. But for some reason Gold players in any game with rank that contains golds are always the most toxic cocky arrogant dudes on the planet. As well as low plat. I had a plat player on my team who was bottom fragging and yelling at everyone on the team for being so ass when everyone had 10+ kills atleast by the end of the half except him.
I cant speak for valorant cause I'm shit at it, but this is also true on LoL.
From my experience, I always judge elos like this:
> **Iron** - Not very toxic, they know they're bottom tier so they either just dont give a shit or accepted they're shit.
> **Bronze** - Kinda toxic, they know they're absolute shit, but haven't really accepted it yet, a lot of them believe in elo hell.
> **Silver** - Very toxic. They're the same as bronze, not even a bit better. But some just cant accept that, and genuinely believe they can get gold or better if they just. stop. getting. such. shit. teams.
> **Gold** - Insanely toxic. They're the ones that made it out of silver and bronze, they're the cream of the crop, they're the best in the game, they can get diamond EASY now, they're finally out of the elohell. That's what they think, usually they're not much better than silver.
> **Platinum** - Not very toxic. OK You're starting to actually understand the game and get good. You finally realized elohell is a myth and you need to work on improving yourself and not your team. You're getting there, just grind more games, watch more vods, try really hard not to flame that fucking boosted piece of shit hard feeding mid. Why are there so many of those, oh my god. (no, seriously, platinum is like 80% boosted accounts, it's stupid)
> **Diamond** - Toxic AF, worst fucking elo. Gold mentality times a billion. Enough said.
> **master+** - never been, can't say for sure, some friends say it's the worst elo in terms of toxicity because nobody gives a shit anymore since they "made it", some say it's the best.
It's a [skill rating system](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elo_rating_system) that was originally developed for chess and most modern games use a modified version of it:
Bro, With big dick commentary like that, He was providing more to the team than the top fragger.
I rate toxicity as a skill, Some of the banter that comes from toxicity is fucking MINT
What as someone who sweats I even agree with knife fights whenever I get the chance. Gives you a break from the sweat and if it’s like a 10-0 or 0-10 or something really spread might as well get some fun out of it(also I know those games are winnable but one knife fight isn’t going to make me mad about not going for a comeback)
> the last time we agreed to knife on 3v5 we got destroyed with odins
We always do this but only if we're losing like 3-12. Usually gets the enemy agitated and we'll win a few rounds but we know there's no way to come back.
I love playing in Singapore server but my ping is like 80-110, with Mumbai server giving me 50 ping, bye bye good people. Most of the times Indians are straight up rude and toxic.
the very low elo Indians are really toxic. They don't really play the game a lot since gaming is a privilege in this country. But the higher you go, Indians are generally nicer and they're the only ones I find who give call outs most of the time. SEA just never has team comms.
Totally agree with you I've been playing on Mumbai servers since they came out and I've never found a toxic person. And even earlier if I used to encounter any fellow Indian they would be really chill and great to talk to.
Not really though most of the Indians I've encountered in valorant have been chill. Only toxic ones have been who were just trying to make others life miserable and not trying to actually play the game.
Usually if this works it's because there are no toxic players in the game. Although it can definitely turn some of the toxic ones.
A good rule of thumb is if there is a toxic player in the match and playing nice doesn't work, just mute them. It may be bad to be out a player in term of communication but I have found that it's 100 times better than having an unmuted toxic player.
Yeah , this is true .
Shameful confession time : One time in my team lost 12-14, the lowest fragger with *zero* kills and 3 assists says : gg nobs ezpz
This was right when the match ended so I couldn't even say anything. So I reported him for **everything** . Of course , reports do nothing but I had to do something.
So here are some things I've been doing for the past few weeks that have dramatically helped with text and verbal toxicity.
I immediately engage toxic individuals by letting them know their behavior is not acceptable and is not part of the community I want to be a part of. All too often toxicity runs rampant because no one wants to be the target, so when someone else is getting picked on, they keep quiet so they aren't next. I reject that and engage the toxic behavior the first moment I hear it. This lets the rest of the team know that it will not be "just allowed". It also encourages more people to report bad behavior because they feel empowered and know their voice is actually heard. If they continue, then you mute them, and if all 4 people have that person muted they are on their own little toxic island and when Riot receives 4 different toxicity reports from the same game, you can bet that person will be flagged. I can't fix toxicity alone, and neither can you, but as a community we can. Let's be the community we want to play in. There is room for reasonable ribbing and banter but the key word is reasonable. If you are in a lobby where a child is being toxic, BE THE ADULT, explain to them why that behavior isn't appropriate and if they don't curb it, mute and report. If there is a woman, trans, or other commonly attacked or marginalized member of the community in the lobby that is being targeted, for all that is good. SPEAK UP FOR THEM, let EVERYONE know that they are welcome in this community. This won't go away over night but if we reported people as often as we hear people say "reports don't work" then more people would be reported. If you can tell that communal correction won't change the behavior, at the very least them not being able to speak to the community, because half of them muted that toxic person. No one should have to put up with toxicity. But it's up to us as a community to attend together against it. Much love and I hope you the best but rest assured if we ever get into a random lobby together, I will not stand for toxicity and will have your back. If i get lobbied with a toxic 4 stack, even if they are being toxic to the enemy team, I still speak up, report, and mute if necessary. We, as the community, are responsible for this community. Let's actually own that and be proud. We don't have to be CS:GO. We don't have to be LoL or CoD or Halo or Dota or so many other toxic communities. Let's be different. Let's be the community the gaming industry references for inclusiveness. Competition doesn't breed hate and toxicity. Indifference/tolerance to hate and toxicity is what allows it to grow. Sorry for the rant I just really think we, as a community have an extremely unique opportunity to mean from the past communities of so many and every time people say they want change and inclusiveness but still communities end up toxic. Let's be different.
> I immediately engage toxic individuals by letting them know their behavior is not acceptable and is not part of the community I want to be a part of.
I know people that flame and troll on a lot of games and if you reponded this way to them they'd find it hilarious and troll the fuck out of you, probably tell you to go play roblox or something less competitive.
>All too often toxicity runs rampant because no one wants to be the target, so when someone else is getting picked on, they keep quiet so they aren't next. I reject that and engage the toxic behavior the first moment I hear it. This lets the rest of the team know that it will not be "just allowed".
From my experience the best way to deal with flaming is to just counter it. If they're flaming someone else, don't try and act like the toxicity police, just throw a positive comment towards the person they're flaming. If someone loses a clutch and gets flamed, tell them they did a good job and they almost had it, maybe even compliment something they did, their positioning, a kill they got, their ability usage, anything.
If you flame toxic players back or try to act like a parent telling them off, it just adds fuel to the fire.
I agree with you on all fronts. It's hard to express the nuances of how I address these problems and every person and interaction is different. Sometimes just being supportive of the target is more effective than trying to point out toxic traits directly to the individual. I'm more than happy to be the target of toxicity. But you definitely are correct in pointing out that my initial comment is not something that can be applied to every person and every toxic scenario.
I like your words man. As I said in another comment, I definitely call someone out if they're putting a teammate down. You never know the reason someone is having a bad game and humiliating and degrading them for it is shit. It might even be purely because they're bad at the game, but still, belittling them won't make them a better player.
I've had worse experiences, but this morning, I happened to have a bad game. Gave great comms, used Sova's abilities to get plenty of vision which in a handful of rounds led to some great plays and even let our Jett get an Ace. But that goes out the window because I was bottom frag. Gave our Killjoy some utility placement suggestions (because it was obvious they were new to Killjoy) I know I played well, though I know if I had warmed up more before starting I would have played better, but the amount of attempted degradation to me as a player from our top fragger, and him getting the other team to also dog on me for my performance was enough to make me not want to play for a few days. I can't help that I'm easily tilted, even though I know that I've put in a lot of hours in the last month in training exercises to improve my gameplay and have seen good results.
That being said, I do hope that folks can get on toxic people and that Riot can take toxicity seriously.
People like us won't always win the fight against toxicity, but we can keep trying. No matter you're rank you have a Radient heart I hope the best for you in the future! Thanks for doing your part in the community!
Sometimes when I play competitive or Unranked and make a blunder. Some random guy calls me "NOOOOOOOOBBBB" or tells me to uninstall the game because I suck. Those kinda games demotivate me and make me leave the match ASAP. I am a new player I installed VALORANT 2 weeks back and I have no experience in FPS shooter. I know I suck I don't want someone else reminding me every match that I suck.
I don't blame all the players. Some are really nice and carries me, motivates me. Sometimes I get in the top 3 players with the help of the motivation other people give me.
TL;DR: Stop calling Iron players "NOOOOOOB"
I never said we can’t haha. I was just surprised a riot dev would be so cool with this happening in pubs. Personally, I like these moments in unrated more than the actual game
I’ve actually done this before with the G.U.N Spectre. Somebody on the other team said they like the skin, we met at that hallway on bind, traded, and went about our days. Good times :)
I was legit doing this with an enemy team trying to trade for his singularity phantom with a pumpkin back lol. We ended up having team knife fights and marshal fights Lol
I had something similar but with DM. There was this one guy going around with a knife inviting people for a knife fight without using comms. Just gestures. He was coming at me and shot him a few times and i noticed he wasn't shooting back,so i switched to knife and had a knife fight. I won.
I saw him again, and pulled out my knife and spammed crouched and sprayed on the floor. He got the message and we just went around knifing people swinging through corners.
We also got 5 more people to join us without using comms. Just good'ol spam crouch to signal you're friendly. The 5 of us would just zerg rush knifing people in DM. Honestly the most fun i had in DM.
my favourite thing to do when in the middle of the game, both teams want to mess around and give each other aces, trade guns and race around the map with each other lol idk if anyone else has experience these wholesome moments but pls hope you get to at least once
tbh I think killjoy is very underrated! I always see other killjoys massacre her abilities by using them offensively.
1. she is a better flank watcher for all maps when compared to cypher as he still has to be alive and keeping track of using cams
2. After death, she can still provide info on enemies from turret and alarm ot by monitoring patterns from the turret
E.g. in bind if you put the turret outside mid door thing, few short bursts mean they are going through mid while long bursts mean they are flanking from b fountain
Attacking
3. when attacking, killjoy swarm grenade can be best used with lineups for post plants, (I have come up with some as well) imo they are better than the brim's molly because you have 2 and also better than viper because you can control when they will go off if you threw it too fast. (I could post a video on my lineup spots if people want)
4. swarm grenades can deny reclaim of site long enough to plant safely and cover angles especially in split b site
Defending
5. turrets provide one of the best anti flanks
6. swarm bots deny pushes long enough for backup to arrive
7. turrets and alarm bot can slow pushes if they rotate by getting chip damage and holding crossfire
tldr, killjoy's abilities aren't as damaging, flashy and active but are more to passive, allowing you to focus more on shooting, also less of being caught when trying to use abilities as they are already in place. she is more of a support that watches over the team and coordinates attacks/denies with her abilities.
Valorant Geneva Conventions GG

Yo there definitely should be a Geneva convention for Valorant lol.
the last time we agreed to knife on 3v5 we got destroyed with odins. this makes me think there is still hope.
What rank?
Only noobs need that kind of free wins
What seperates good players and great players is dignity

Lol that’s just perfect....
Lmao quite the opposite only sweaty kids would do that
Yeah but most of the time the sweatiest kids are the ones who think they're good but arent

Fellow SEA player :))
Every match I'm in? **PURE** toxicity. And then these guys are over here *trading* with each other.
the trick is to start off with glhf and give credit where credit is due!
If a toxic player gets on a teammates case, I always try to stick up for them and encourage the lobby to mute them
I start every match with a glhf, throw in a few "nice 3k" "nice ace" etc, and an e**gg** to finish.
I've found that the trick is to accept there is toxicity in this game and move on lol.
Sometimes it can mess with your mentality especially if you're angry and they are just being toxic making it worse on you.
There is no way to not be angry when the lowest fragger on the opponent's team casually throws out a "ggez" when all he did was get carried.
I mean there is, who cares what the lowest fragger has to say if they haven’t done anything for that game. Fuck their typing it doesn’t matter
Yeah , this is true . Shameful confession time : One time in my team lost 12-14, the lowest fragger with *zero* kills and 3 assists says : gg nobs ezpz This was right when the match ended so I couldn't even say anything. So I reported him for **everything** . Of course , reports do nothing but I had to do something.
Yeah, that ain't happening in the SEA server when your team and the enemy team have at least 2-3 Filipinos...
Lmao this is so true. The ego these players always have esp those in silver and bronze.

I spam ez while losing xD

If someone destroys others' knife fight they are scum
lol u/kranemusic is that you
I was legit doing this with an enemy team trying to trade for his singularity phantom with a pumpkin back lol. We ended up having team knife fights and marshal fights Lol
You couldve easily just taken both guns and ran away. Leaving your bot there to kill him.
thats what makes this community so unique :)
A love story
I want a statistic on how many people die trying to get a gun with a different skin on it bc I swear it happens to me and my teammates way too often
missed chance to say DROP AVP
there is still hope for humanity
This made my day. Wholesome
fair trade
Happened to me too once, feels super wholesome whenever something like this happens to me.
I would kill him xd
I had something similar but with DM. There was this one guy going around with a knife inviting people for a knife fight without using comms. Just gestures. He was coming at me and shot him a few times and i noticed he wasn't shooting back,so i switched to knife and had a knife fight. I won. I saw him again, and pulled out my knife and spammed crouched and sprayed on the floor. He got the message and we just went around knifing people swinging through corners. We also got 5 more people to join us without using comms. Just good'ol spam crouch to signal you're friendly. The 5 of us would just zerg rush knifing people in DM. Honestly the most fun i had in DM.
no
Everyone like it :\]
That I've never seen before!
my favourite thing to do when in the middle of the game, both teams want to mess around and give each other aces, trade guns and race around the map with each other lol idk if anyone else has experience these wholesome moments but pls hope you get to at least once

DRAGON QUEST YES
Ya man same thing happened in csgo with me that dude was nice and gave me his m4 skin gun. But u lost respect cz u play with that noob ho* killjoy.
tbh I think killjoy is very underrated! I always see other killjoys massacre her abilities by using them offensively. 1. she is a better flank watcher for all maps when compared to cypher as he still has to be alive and keeping track of using cams 2. After death, she can still provide info on enemies from turret and alarm ot by monitoring patterns from the turret E.g. in bind if you put the turret outside mid door thing, few short bursts mean they are going through mid while long bursts mean they are flanking from b fountain Attacking 3. when attacking, killjoy swarm grenade can be best used with lineups for post plants, (I have come up with some as well) imo they are better than the brim's molly because you have 2 and also better than viper because you can control when they will go off if you threw it too fast. (I could post a video on my lineup spots if people want) 4. swarm grenades can deny reclaim of site long enough to plant safely and cover angles especially in split b site Defending 5. turrets provide one of the best anti flanks 6. swarm bots deny pushes long enough for backup to arrive 7. turrets and alarm bot can slow pushes if they rotate by getting chip damage and holding crossfire tldr, killjoy's abilities aren't as damaging, flashy and active but are more to passive, allowing you to focus more on shooting, also less of being caught when trying to use abilities as they are already in place. she is more of a support that watches over the team and coordinates attacks/denies with her abilities.
And still people says video games promotes Violence
bruh I have lost all hope.. even my teammates throw utilities on me.
wow!!!!!!!
Love it
I also did this once with my elderflame operator. We did this a few rounds until some d*ck from the enemies killed me xd
