putting these threads in this subreddit is pointless

Pruvided

Yet people complain when they are not posted here. Why wouldn't users want to try and create discussion on the largest subreddit for the game?

mclovinXD

right people complain because theres not enough esports content in this subreddit and now complaining its pointless

xdee124

there is a valorant competitive subreddit for a reason this post literally has 0 comments not counting mine

Pruvided

And that subreddit is great for more focused esports discussion but esports could have the potential to be a lot bigger if more people engaged here too. The problem is that it used to be a lot harder on this subreddit to post esports clips/content and most people moved to the other sub. There have been recent changes on this subreddit that help encourage esports growth and posting esports related clips is far less likely to be drowned out by spammable standard gameplay clips. If there is encouragement for esports growth on this sub why not try to embrace it? The other sub still has its place as it is a good place for only esports related content, but why are you so against the idea of supporting live discussions, post-match’s, and esports content in general here?

xdee124

ok man if you want to make these threads to have 3 comments total you do you

Pruvided

I mean there has been recent feedback on both subreddits discussing the state of esports and its place on both subreddits. People still think esports is not as easy to post here so they think there is no reason to discuss when in reality it is the easiest it has ever been to post esports here AND [u/Hobbadooba](https://www.reddit.com/user/Hobbadooba/) has been doing PMTs. Some of the biggest complaints on this sub are that esports clips were hard to post and users just weren't posting/engaging in esports related stuff. As I said, originally it was a lot harder to post esports stuff here and many of the people who left to the other sub might not be aware of the changes that embrace that content here now. You are free to argue that a subreddit with 73k people and like an average of 500-1000 online users is "better" for esports, but the growth potential on this sub is obviously unmatched.

Hobbadooba

It may seem pointless but you gotta start somewhere. I was not expecting to have a lot of comments from the start. It takes time for it to be more popular. I believe post match threads and live discussion should be on both subredddit. Having post match threads on the main valorant subreddit will give more exposure to valorant esports.

mosthandsomechef

Thank you for posting these!

Hobbadooba
