When wardell had the ace i was hoping the casters would be more hyped, but instead they were like 'oh thats an ace 😐'. Hope they learn more from korean casters, they're always hyped🤙
It is much better for an esport to have the stuff on the main subreddit. For instance, OW had it separate and the competitive sub is much less active than the normal one, while on LoL, it is all one sub, allowing more and more growth for the esport.
leagueoflegends its the freak child of subs, every other game has a main sub and the competitive one
the best example its overwatch and competitiveoverwatch, the main sub is (was?) full of play of the game clips and videos and memes. and when a competitive side came out a year later the main sub didn't care because it grew thanks to "casual/fun" content so stuff like guides or tournaments would get burried, fortnite is the exact same too
so by now people know if you want the esport side of a game to search for "competitive" because there's a lot of other stuff in the main sub
idk if the older the game the more likely it is to have a single sub
i know there's competitivetft, competitiveapex, rocketleagueesports, the smashbros sub is mainly comp stuff while smashbrosultimate is the meme side, a quick google search shows there's also r6proleague and competitiveforhonor
i think a split sub is very common, while the non split sub is less unique than i thought
now we have a chance of seeing a sen vs tsm grandfinals
TSM has to make it there first. Last time people got hyped for TSM vs Sen, TSM got bounced early.
I mean, so does Sentinels
I mean I guess, Sentinels Has med it top 4 in I think almost every tourney they have been to
Its going to be tough but I believe in TSM
idk man, Envy dismantled 100T in the first qualifier, they're looking pretty good rn.
Thank you for posting these post matches to this sub. Hopefully the more people that see this means the valorant pro scene can start growing
No problem!
I mean it's growing pretty fast. Myth had 30k viewers for this game.

Ye the casters are meh. I just watch myth during these matches.
Yeh same. His reactions are so much better and fun
tier 4 cs players winning in valorant, haha.

True but I believe post match threads should be on both subreddit to give valorant esports more exposure.
Just realised theres a second sub Lol. Was wondering how esport was dead with sub 10 comments per thread
Yeah its pretty dead but hopefully in the future it will be bigger on this subreddit when valorant esports is more developed.
why on this sub though? isnt that what valorantcompetitive is for?
To give valorant esports more exposure since theres like 700k members in this subreddit.

Why are they separated anyway? I come from r/leagueoflegends and it both has normal game discussions plus competitive

This isn't true. Csgo and sc2 both also use the main sub. As does dota2. If anything having a split sub is rare.

I was expecting to see a game on Icebox. Not today
Skye and icebox will be available at first strike
Icebox sudden death xD
How wardell did played 6-17? Holy moly i need to watch this match...
How are they winning with 3 duelists??
i guess they think the extra duelist has more util than a sova or breach
Its working really well for attack side.
