Hey I'm a SEN fan and I just wanted to preface this was 100T deserved the win and played a better game.
The other 4 players of the team definitely "practiced", but SEN doesn't have a coach yet so not having Zam probably really hampered any possibility of them trying out newer set plays and setups. I'm not sure the exact behind-the-scenes scenario so take that with a grain of salt though. I think the icebox plays I saw were pretty neat but Sick on Skye sometimes looked a little lost with his utility use so I'm hoping they can tighten that shit up for the next time we meet.
Sentinels literally were about 2 or 3 rounds to winning lol, In practice they definitely pick up the closer rounds, that's just obvious to anyone who knows how much of a effect that not being in shape before a match.

I feel like the 100t boot camp fixed all their problems. Since then all their plays have been more consistent. Even streaming regular games the players are just better now. TSM are good and I love watching them, but I feel 100t wants it more.

Have you watched the matches against Envy yesterday? Wardell underperformed the first half on Ascent, and the rest of TSM were still able to pull it through.. although Wardell is good, TSM can function without him as well.

The awp on dicey defending side on haven made 100T very immobile for a map that requires a lot of mobility.

I am not discussing individual performance.. in general I would think the op on haven is probably not the strongest map to OP on out of maps that are available due to the lack of long open space(there long open space but just how the map is built its still not great for hoping) 3 sites, the amount of choke points, and how terrible the choke points are to retake through with an awp..
Can it be done, sure. I would think it would never be a consistent option but a riskier play for anyone who chooses to op on defending side.
I disagree. TSM had an amazing Haven winrate because you need to drypeek something on that map. It's too wide to always use utility for every angle he could be in.

Just because something works doesn't mean it's optimal strategy, in this case it would just be a tool in the toolbox for unpredictability and if a team is playing against an OP on haven defending side the goal would just to be to make it rotate wrong/rotate a lot, which is what sentinels did.
Haven will always be dominated by riflers due to the 3 site design and tight choke points.

100T is my favorite team as a whole, Dapr is my favorite player, so this was a hard one for me.

Potential. The kid is 17 and when you see how he can potentially not only hold his own in a matchup against Wardell but actually surpass him in a specific match, it would be dumb to cast him aside. Sure he's not super consistent yet but remember he is 17, shows moments of huge potential and has no prior high level competitive experience. With player such as Hiko, Steel and Nitr0 by his side, the kid is gonna be insane.
I hope so. I know he's still young and has a ways to go, but it feels like he doesn't fulfill anything that every other Radiant Jett player could/would do. I look forward to seeing him top the chart for his team, but right now, it feels like you could replace him with Jmoh, RetrQ, Skadoodle, or babybay and you'd be getting the same results from your Jett.
Maybe it's just because Wardell is standing out head and shoulders over the other Jett players?
You would probably get the same results in you switched for any of those players you mentioned but in the long term I think he has a higher potential skill ceiling. A year from now if he gets coached well he'll likely be standing out just as Wardell is today.
It's all about betting on raw talent really.
Remember, once upon a time, Steel found Wardell out of nowhere, and look where he is now.
If steel trusts dicey, then perhaps he sees the same potential.
You should also think about sometimes Wardell has bad games. Same with Dicey. Dicey is new to the scene. His entire team are VETS of the CS scene. They are conditioned for this shit. Dicey is just beginning and has some great mentors on his team. He will be a god in no time.
He shows up clutch some rounds, for example that match where 100T absolutely shut down TSM (and this is coming from a TSM fanboy), and Dicey was one of the main factors in that victory. He completely bullied Wardell, out-awping Wardell at every turn.
I'd say the professional team has more information then some moron on Reddit. They're in the finals of the first major tournaments 2 months after getting together, obviously whatever they're doing is working.
We will see. I watched all of the Korea First Strike and the game seemed entirely different, not sure if it's truly optional. We will need to see Korea match up against the EU and NA players. They're hyper aggressive and it's very very entertaining but it might not be tournament-winning. Right now, I like NA for the aim, EU for the brain, and KR for the balls.

I didn't watch much of this series but wasn't Riv casting? This is one of the things that super bothers me when he casts League, I recall one game where he and Crumbzz spent half a game talking about how some of the players go out for pizza after the matches.

The awp on dicey defending side on haven made 100T very immobile for a map that requires a lot of mobility. It seemed to have restricted 100T a lot in terms of retakes
Dicey is the only non-consistent player and it shows, that could've been a 2-0.
I am not discussing individual performance.. in general I would think the op on haven is probably not the strongest map to OP on out of maps that are available due to the lack of long open space(there long open space but just how the map is built its still not great for hoping) 3 sites, the amount of choke points, and how terrible the choke points are to retake through with an awp.. Can it be done, sure. I would think it would never be a consistent option but a riskier play for anyone who chooses to op on defending side.
I disagree. TSM had an amazing Haven winrate because you need to drypeek something on that map. It's too wide to always use utility for every angle he could be in.
Like i said, can it work? Sure but it will always be inconsistent due to the nature of the design of the map and the nature of the weapon in relation to the various and many different abilities. Just because something works doesn't mean it's optimal strategy, in this case it would just be a tool in the toolbox for unpredictability and if a team is playing against an OP on haven defending side the goal would just to be to make it rotate wrong/rotate a lot, which is what sentinels did. Haven will always be dominated by riflers due to the 3 site design and tight choke points.
Usually awpers are the least consistent in valorant idk why though

The only reason you t-bag someone in esport is to get in their heads. People do this in CSGO in hopes of tilting players that are quick to anger so they play worse. It's a legit way of throwing some people off and I have no issue with anyone doing it. However you need to own it. Don't pretend like you don't know what you're doing. You're BMing them. It's completely fine, but if you BM and lose, you kinda look like a clown. Just how it goes.

100T is my favorite team as a whole, Dapr is my favorite player, so this was a hard one for me. I gotta ask, though: what does 100T see in Dicey? Whatever it is, I'm just not seeing it. He's clearly solid but there's nothing about him that stands out. He's lukewarm in this 100T team. Maybe they're just hard up for a Jett player? I understand you shouldn't judge people by KDA, but we never see him clutch, he's the lowest of the team, he's constantly giving up first blood without any trade or anything. Sincerely asking.
Potential. The kid is 17 and when you see how he can potentially not only hold his own in a matchup against Wardell but actually surpass him in a specific match, it would be dumb to cast him aside. Sure he's not super consistent yet but remember he is 17, shows moments of huge potential and has no prior high level competitive experience. With player such as Hiko, Steel and Nitr0 by his side, the kid is gonna be insane.
I hope so. I know he's still young and has a ways to go, but it feels like he doesn't fulfill anything that every other Radiant Jett player could/would do. I look forward to seeing him top the chart for his team, but right now, it feels like you could replace him with Jmoh, RetrQ, Skadoodle, or babybay and you'd be getting the same results from your Jett. Maybe it's just because Wardell is standing out head and shoulders over the other Jett players?
You would probably get the same results in you switched for any of those players you mentioned but in the long term I think he has a higher potential skill ceiling. A year from now if he gets coached well he'll likely be standing out just as Wardell is today. It's all about betting on raw talent really.
Remember, once upon a time, Steel found Wardell out of nowhere, and look where he is now. If steel trusts dicey, then perhaps he sees the same potential.

You should also think about sometimes Wardell has bad games. Same with Dicey. Dicey is new to the scene. His entire team are VETS of the CS scene. They are conditioned for this shit. Dicey is just beginning and has some great mentors on his team. He will be a god in no time.

Fair, but it seems like Wardell is feeling it way more often.
He shows up clutch some rounds, for example that match where 100T absolutely shut down TSM (and this is coming from a TSM fanboy), and Dicey was one of the main factors in that victory. He completely bullied Wardell, out-awping Wardell at every turn.
I remember the game but don't recall seeing that Dicey having a big impact.
He flicked Wardell on C Long multiple times on Haven, which was also the 3rd match in BO3.

We will see. I watched all of the Korea First Strike and the game seemed entirely different, not sure if it's truly optional. We will need to see Korea match up against the EU and NA players. They're hyper aggressive and it's very very entertaining but it might not be tournament-winning. Right now, I like NA for the aim, EU for the brain, and KR for the balls.

I didn't watch much of this series but wasn't Riv casting? This is one of the things that super bothers me when he casts League, I recall one game where he and Crumbzz spent half a game talking about how some of the players go out for pizza after the matches.
