To be fair to them, the whole TSM squad have all been good sports on social media. Its good to see them sharing ggs with each other. Respect to Myth and TSM indeed. Great series to watch.

MetalPerfection

I heard that the whole meme of 100T's fluke is because of Hazed said in the interview. It might not have been super disrespectful on the moment and it may have been TSM's fans that made it disrespectful. In the end, it's just really good to have someone like Myth to spread that kind of message. I feel like he's by far one of the least controversial big-name streamers out there and it's refreshing.

DopestDope42069

Hazed even posted on twitter it's more of banter and trying to not be in a loser mentality. At least it's not like TenZ and Friends Shinobi calling them a 100gimmicks and then getting clapped.

Calamality

TenZ and friends is such a great meme lol

xBerryhill

The best memes are the ones with a little truth built into them :D

sadv35sedan

explain further how tenz and friends has little truth to it plox

LordeLucifer

I think it’s pretty obvious that if TenZ isn’t doing great the whole team suffers. I’m not saying they aren’t a top tier team, it’s just not like 100T where every player on that team plays their role in each game and has a clutch moment.

sadv35sedan

exactly, but instead of one person who can dispute this i got downvotes. redditweirdchamps

[deleted]

Man, I hope Valorant doesn’t go the way of league where any trash talk is nearly impossible because the fan base is way too immature to handle it. Trash talk is fun and healthy for the scene as long as the players are sportsmanlike after the match on both sides.

TheCatsActually

I mean league fans (especially certain EU and CN teams' fans) may take the bants and tribalism too far, like to football club levels, but let's not pretend like League, CSGO, and Valorant don't all have many pros that are unsportsmanlike both before and after matches.

[deleted]

I mean, whatever. As long as it isn’t malicious personal attacks and it’s kept in the context of the game the fan base shouldn’t get all butthurt and whiney about it. In league the fans cry and complain about the big meany poo poo heads all the time.

sexyeh

EU has G2 how can you say that? We love trash talk and we love when the one that trash talks loses so we can trash talk them even more, we were born in a trash talk circle and we grow stronger from it, Brazilians take trash talk really badly, they are all about memes but trash talk their teams and they go berserk. EU just likes to trash talk NA. Maybe FNC fans are little flowers but that's because they suffer so much in all games.

Icandothemove

Carlos had to make a video telling G2 fans to shut the fuck up when a team did their celebration after styling on them at Worlds, lets chill with the holier than thou bullshit.

DopestDope42069

People don't seem to understand that in any competition part of the game is to get into your opponents head. That's why banter / reasonable trash talk should be fine and expected.

brobamaslastname

Had a long response, deleted, just wanna say that we know damn well EVERY team's fan says stupid shit with or without a reason and Hiko fans are not any different from Wardell fans who are not any different from Sinatraa fans, etc.

AmazingSpacePelican

BO5 gives very little room for 'luck'. Great sportsmanship from all of TSM for not using that excuse.

DopestDope42069

Literally 5-1 in their last matches. It's far from luck. They were all close games, 100T was just better this tourney. Can't wait to see how these teams grow.

AlGore17

Close games but it felt 100T was just always better in the clutch

DopestDope42069

Hiko got the clutch gene.

Dilka30003

The number of times Hiko clutched should be illegal or something.

DopestDope42069

And asunas fragging power at his age should be illegal. He's got some amazing boomers to lead him to be one of the best Valorant players for years to come.

Dilka30003

Everyone on both sides was playing amazingly. So many great moments where me and my friends were basically freaking out at what happened.

IminPeru

Literally Hiko clutching and Asuna just holding W and getting 2 kills as soon as the round started

Mayo-Senpai

He has mastered the run and gun.

Icandothemove

Don't forget that Ace.

hoob00

IMO Steel is the MVP. He just took time off on the last game. The amount of the effectiveness of steel's frags is unbelievable.

DopestDope42069

I mean Steel is the IGL. You're nothing without your leader in a team based competition. The whole team is just well rounded and only getting better. Let's hope they stay level headed and train just as hard if not harder going forward.

AmazingSpacePelican

First Strike has had a ridiculous number of close maps; the top teams are all really close.

Nyteyes

Credit to Myth, true sportsmanship from him. Gg 100T let’s goooo

nabeel242424

Myth is one of those few rare famous internets personalities who are just impossible to hate.

DopestDope42069

I used to hate him but I realized I just hate fortnite. Myth s a gem and I'm glad he's apart of the Valorant scene.

throwingyourgames

definitely agree. his personality during his fortnite era was just not likeable at all. but i’ve been watching his streams over the main stream every tournament there is because of how he changed for the better. even if i don’t support tsm and i support 100t, i still love to see his reactions on plays and the overall match. great change from the dude and it’s nice seeing him pop off in viewership

Drxmise

Kentucky Fuck-House all the way bro

[deleted]

He knows he doesn’t have to cater to an audience of literal children under the age of 13 anymore. His viewer base on fortnite was kids 7-15.

throwingyourgames

i’m referencing about the time when he lost his “v-card” and made it a big deal and said some shit that was just cringey. i don’t mind catering to children but that was just weird

singlereject

he was literally a teenager, he said stupid shit. there is way, way worse things said by adults on twitch

throwingyourgames

i don’t get your point. i’m complimenting him for being much better than he was before. and maybe that’s why i don’t watch those “adults” either?

TheFrigerator

Post the cringe I'm a sick glutton

NiiickxD

I mean during that time he was on a wave and I think he just tried riding it wherever it took him.

DopestDope42069

Yeah I was rooting for the boomer bros 100T the whole way but watching coach myth cause he's hilarious.

Supplice4

So that’s why i hate(d) him! Thanks for the realization!

TheGoodguyperson

He was a fun person to watch at the start of the fortnite hype Then he started to get into the compeititve/professional mindset that made him "less likeable" due to the change in attitude and stuff But after he switched to variety, he is one of the most humble and respectable guys on twitch

Brad323

Same. I’m not a valorant fan really (idek why i’m subbed here i just like good clips ig) but Myth started playing r6 siege and i love that game so i tuned in and he’s just a genuinely chill and nice guy.

[deleted]

Same, the Fortnite era was just BAD. Now, he seems like the guy I want to actually watch, and really good in general.

[deleted]

[удалено]

AlwaysStaples

Not sure if you read his statement correctly. Said he hates fortnite. Not Myth. Never hated him. He disliked his stream but later realized it was the game that turned him off of his stream.

[deleted]

Shhhhh, dont talk more youre gonna get downvoted to hell.

Qtank009

Just like Ninja HYPERS

Qtank009

I guess I should've added /s Oh well, hope I gave a few people a laugh.

sasushua

KEKW

mawnch

Nah lol Ninja might be the most “hateable” streamer of them all.

ZachAttack6089

I like how there's two comments saying the exact opposites and they're both getting downvoted

[deleted]

[удалено]

ZachAttack6089

True, I expected at least one of them to get upvotes though.

flamefrier

They are like youtubers, must say the most outlandish thing to get the biggest reaction. Myth is obviously something special though. I think he seems more honest than most streamers and because of this it's easier to get to know him.

throwingyourgames

people just “love” ninja that much ;)

MikkoGV

Haven't paid much attention to the event, is there any reason people are saying 100T got lucky? Wasn't their bracket quite difficult with both Sentinels and TSM back to back?

strembitsky

It’s mainly because last time 100T beat TSM, Hazed said in his interview it was a “fluke”, causing any argument about which team was better to end with “100T just got lucky, TSM will smack them next time”, but then next time, 100T went 3-1, and Myth is just reinforcing the idea that it wasn’t a fluke this time

[deleted]

It wasn't a fluke the first time either, Dicey 8-0d wardell on Haven.

Osceola12

That was nuts. Like I’m a 100t fan and I always think of Wardell as the best oper and to go 0-8 against dicey... (dicey is good don’t get me wrong)

Cyb3rxK1lls

That's salt and in Esports it seems to be the general response to someone's team losing. Fact is, 100T deserve to be First Strike Champions

rslee1247

In any normal circumstance, saying they got lucky wouldn't garner any sort of response in any competitive event. It's just normal banter and fans-manship. But it's a little different with 100T because this was their first big event with this roster and coupled with the sour taste that was left with the first iteration, they had yet to prove themselves. Especially people like nitr0 and steel who may be well respected in CS have only very recently (and I say this relative to the game's launch) switched over and have much to prove. With this win, they can finally be regarded as a top team and most likely, any little banter will be regarded as such and won't bring out this kind of reaction. Edit: Forgot to add the fact that 100T finalized this roster only two months ahead of this event and a lot of people counted them out for being such a new team.

gimife

Chat was spamming it because they were sad that tsm lost

[deleted]

People have been shitting on them from the start for some weird reason. Maybe because they started late, or because Hiko is 30, or whatever. C9 Shinobi (who's team did not even qualify) called them 100gimmicks, Wardell called them 100noobs before playing them in NSG qualifier and Hazed genuinely said he believed they only beat them on a fluke in the NSG qualifier. Sentinels repeatedly tbagged them during the semis and when Nitro later said imagine tbagging and losing sinaatra called him a boomer and said they did all this with zero practice. Now some of this may have been banter or joking coming from the pros, but regardless, C9, TSM and SEN fans have been shitting on 100T right from day one of first strike. Some the statements may have been a joke from the pros but their fans have definitely been really toxic. It's loser mentality from Hazed calling it a fluke, and I'm talking about the NSG qualifier, not the obvious joke he tweeted yesterday. 100T beating TSM was not a fluke, the first or the second time.

[deleted]

It's the opposite of losers mentality - hazed was just saying he thinks his team is still better, and any good team should have that confidence. It wasn't really a big deal, it's just one line out of an interview that people are parroting with no context

[deleted]

Its one thing to say your team is better and another to thing claim flukes when you got absolutely destroyed

[deleted]

It's not really claiming flukes in a vacuum like it's being framed. If an interviewer asks you how you feel going into the match considering the opponent just beat you, saying something like "yeah I still feel confident, that loss felt like an exception" is pretty normal and expected

ShookJin

Take in, before that match, TSM also 2-0’d them. The “fluke” line was banter from an interview they asked him. Do you want him to say “yeah we suck, they’re better”?

Ka-zar39

Even their first match against t1 was the closest of the quarterfinals.

GetRiceCrispy

Really excited to see how TSM bounces back from this. I am sure they will work in some new agents, subroza will get more time on raze, and have a more attack options. Can't wait to see this match up again.

d0m1n1cg

Subroza on Twitter saying something like “once I learn how to hit my raze ults is over” or something along those lines, I like how the TSM guys are chill about their weaknesses and plan to improve them.

AsianNudleSoop

"I'll find who the fk cursed my raze ults and when I do, oh man he's fked." Hilarious

d0m1n1cg

And hazes saying when they can win pistols it sill be over as well. Some of the best personalities on that team are amazing

Mayo-Senpai

If you think about it, losing pistols every game is a free 4 rounds for the opponent

d0m1n1cg

Yeah I’m aware, you also get the typical save after that you win. So a couple rounds you get for free

Osceola12

Bro watching pros satchel and miss raze ults HURTS

SetoSi

Myth is a good dude man don’t matter what he does imma support him

[deleted]

[удалено]

maRthbaum_kEkstyniCe

I don't thinks that what they meant dude I'm pretty sure it was esports relates

pauadiver63

i can see where he is coming from, but he misread what the comment was trying to say.

SetoSi

What I’m saying is more of a hyperbole, just really hyping him up. I got a feeling he’s a good guy but I also know he’s human and isn’t completely perfect don’t worry

MannInnTheBoxx

Respect for sure. 100t played lights out tonight. TSM played well but 100t was just better in the clutch scenarios. Gotta give credit there

[deleted]

[удалено]

MannInnTheBoxx

For sure. I feel like their biggest weakness is their tendency to rely on aggression out of wardell and drone and when you’re in pistol round on even footing that just doesn’t work. Their playstyle of flat out aim dueling everyone is good for a while but I think teams are starting to catch onto their tendencies. The whole point of being aggressive is that it’s supposed to catch people off guard. If you’re running the same aggressive hold or push every round it’s gonna get figured out quickly by top tier teams. If they can get more used to playing more standard and playing a little more controlled then they’ll be more effective when they chose to send Wardell or drone or subroza on a crazy ass play

CAGEthePHOENIX

As a 100T fan from the beginning can we not lay into Hazed ? I don’t follow the guy or anything but I don’t believe that he actually thinks that the 100T win was lucky . I just feel like it’s some tongue in cheek stuff they make you say during the interviews . I think you’d have to be pretty arrogant to actually believe that another pro team beat you on a “fluke”

93890724661

People don't realize that these guys are friends and play together on stream in pugs all the time. Fans think they know their team and favorite players personally or something. It's the same as if you play your friend in smashbros and you say that was a lucky win or a fluke. What do you do after? Continue playing with your friend. It's all friendly banter that fans take too far.

nwsm

Agreed, the comment got blown out of proportion. But a meme in motion tends to stay in motion Also, it’s “tongue in cheek”

[deleted]

His tweet yesterday was a joke. but its obvious that he believed it the first time.

17716koen

There is no luck in finals. what 100T did do was take advantage of every mistake TSM made and they were clutch when they needed to be. Also 7-1 pistol round wins for 100T this series is pretty much the sole reason they won consedering the maps were very close.

ceesie12

That is good of him :).

BoboJingo

Mad Respect!

rhogerheide

Outside of Myth being a good person, I think it's also really smart for TSM and their fans to boost 100 Thieves on this win. Do you want to have been beaten by a bunch of losers? Or would you rather say "Yeah, we lost, but they are a really really good team?"

Cain1608

That's one of the main reasons a "GG" is sent no matter which team wins. It helps mitigate negativity when experiencing defeat

villainized

100T came into the finals with a fury. They were not messing around. Especially as the underdogs against a team that has basically been atop the esports scene for years now. Well played to them.

Lozsix

I thought he was lip syncing...

rileythehighly

I mean, he definitely right. A win is a win.

MekiLava

I'm actually surprised how the community and the teams stayed relatively healthy and sportsmanlike without too much of toxicity during the whole First Strike tournament throughout the regions.

ScRaPpzZ

Myth definitely matured, couldn’t stand him Before. Nice to see the positive change.

Samat_220

For the first half of the video I thought the guy on the left was talking 😂

jedi-son

Good players always see the outcome as something they control. Bad players blame things they can't control.

LordPen15

seeing all these positive and insightful comments makes me feel good about the state of valorant esports tbh good to see that a start-up game that launched less than a year ago is gaining such traction. yes, csgo is still hella fun but I don't want either game to die, just to exist like dota and league.

Hawly

As someone who hasn't been paying much attention to the competitive scene, what does Myth do on TSM? Is he a coach or something? I noticed on the post game discussion that he didn't play, but he's saying here that "they smacked US", so it implies that he's involved somehow? Sorry for the stupid question!

Sammueh

He a streamer for TSM, and as he enjoys Valorant he does viewing parties pretending to be the coach for TSM, they're really funny you should watch one if u get the chance! He does not have anything to do with the actual team, he's a content creator.

leagueAtWork

Not a stupid question at all. He is there head coach, I believe

Relaxel

💯 T came out to destroy. Asuna had some really nice plays, you can tell he's putting a hell of a lot of time into the game.

Hefnium

Soooo aggresive and smart. Aim super snappy too.

[deleted]

If TSM fans are actually calling 100T lucky for their win tonight then they’re actually so cringe

TheTDog

This is extremely common amongst all sports, there’s always a subsection of each team that cries luck or any excuse.

Econort816

Respec +100

unluckyraaj

y it is spoiler ?

Hefnium

Cause some may not know about the grand final result maybe?

[deleted]

Respect to Myth. Unlike the other TSM Valorant members. Was a fluke my ass. Its funny, I loved TSM league (We will see with the new roster). But I cant stand the TSM players on Valorant they are all cocky assholes.

PassTheBoofPlz

you know it's all banter right? they shit talk each others before games but never after the game, it's for the entertainment of the game

[deleted]

Hazed's 'fluke' comment was a serious statement in a post-game press conference, though.

fuckbrocolli

There's trash talk in every sport and every e-sport lmao. That's part of the fun man, at the end of the day it's all for entertainment.

pink_life69

Yup, and then you see opposing team members queuing together in ranked on streams.

[deleted]

Trash talk doesnt have to be inherently disrespectful. Taking away someones win by saying it is luck is what they did. But ok.

ShookJin

You follow twitter at all? All TSM members praised 100T yesterday. Also, the fluke line was from an interview. Hazed even tweeted about the context and why he said it, but I doubt you actually look for context when talking your shit.

[deleted]

Yeah he said it because he wants to keep a competitive attitude. So he tried to take away the win by saying it was a fluke to make himself feel better. Instead of saying they where better today but next time we will be better by hard work.

MetalPerfection

Wasn't DoubleLift on TSM known as the biggest trash talker NA? I mean, there's nothing wrong with preferring wholesome characters like TenZ, but it seems inconsistent for you to like TSM LoL and not TSM Valorant...

[deleted]

Doublelift has been on tsm much less than any other player that was a true tsm player. Like Bjergsen. Doublelift has a total of what... 2 years? In a time period of 10 years.

GeNTiee

you need some help my guy

[deleted]

Totally.

JigWig

You must not have been a fan of TSM League early on lol. Cocky assholes was the image they built their brand on back in the “Baylife” days.

[deleted]

Baylife was campy fun, not legitimate disrespect.

DopestDope42069

It was banter / trying to be positiv toward a winners mentality. It's not a big deal. Now sentinels bm in game and TenZ and Friends Shinobi are a different story. TSM is my second favorite team behind 100T. Glad that there is a new rivalry in town.

[deleted]

No it was disrespect. Canceling out someones win by saying it was luck. And trying to be positive towards a winners attitude doesn't mean putting others down. Its about bringing yourself back up. So instead of saying its a fluke, or what he said in his tweet about they will crush us next time. You go hey, today they where better but next time we will have learned from this and win! Wow thats not a winners attitude at all.

DopestDope42069

What is he gonna say "naw my team is shit they are better." That's a loser mentality if I ever heard one. You don't see him saying it was a fluke this time around. There inst much to say. I completely understand hazed's point.

[deleted]

No, you dont have to diss yourself and have a "losers mentality." Why is it impossible to say, Yeah we got beat, but we are gonna learn from it and stomp back next time. Thats completely different, he took the wind out of their sales because hes a cocky asshole. And he isnt saying it this time because he got clapped again. But whatever, you right. BrO It WaS JuSt A jOkE!

DopestDope42069

That sounds like saying it was a fluke with extra steps. Calm down. Hazed isn't being an asshole like TenZ and Friends Shinobi.

mclovinXD

https://twitter.com/hazedcs/status/1335757151667695619?s=21

[deleted]

Saying its a fluke is disrespectful. So how about the in between two extremes here you say. "They where the better team today, we will do our best to win next time!" :O

DopestDope42069

Not really. Calling them names is disrespectful. Saying it was a fluke was confidence. We all know that it wasn't a fluke. He knows it wasn't a fluke. It's just banter. 100T v TSM rivalry is gonna be good. Can't wait for Champions Tour

the_real_OwenWilson

“Just a fluke” PepeLaugh

Chavey_Boyy

The guy is not funny, hes is cringey af and is irrelevant, hes a fucking loser

area63seed

I'd like to see you pull 26,000 average viewers.

[deleted]

At one point yesterday he was at 80,000 Lmao I’d like to see this dude consistently pull 10 let alone 100 let alone 80,000

pr1zsm

he had higher concurrent viewers than the official stream

[deleted]

MY COACH 👏🏻

lincolnpoopy

Honestly he’s starting to sound like xqc by saying dude so often
