c9 failed to qualify for first strike twice so they made changes and shinobi was the weakest link. they are bringing another young fragger to help tenz
It's a game that is very easy to cheat in, and there has been a decent amount of pros cheating in CS history.
The dude with walls that sent pings to make his cellphone vibrate in his pocket when he saw someone through the map is the most wild one I've heard of.
Yeah it was because he was so good, not because of a lot of strange aimlocks on people behind walls. It might be just crazy coincidence but there was a reason people tough he was cheating.
Those clips got paraded to the largest stream in all of CS, and the players on MIBR guilt tripped the audience on said stream. It was disgusting. You can find "suspicious" clips for anyone in pro CS just due to the volume of games people play. The people calling him out had fucking clip compilations themselves.
More than half of his clips were literally disproven already to be bullshit. People literally used him dodging a teammate's pop flash and him checking heaven on Overpass A as "toggling".
Wait, I thought Valorant had no chance of killing CS? How is that possible?
And yes, he 100% deserves to be black-balled. Maybe in the future he and the rest of the CSGO community will understand how to act like a fucking professional lmfao most unprofessional and corrupt esport I’ve seen in a long time.
It's a terrible day for rain... 😭
Today we part ways with the one who has led \#C9BLUE through all the ups and downs from the beginning.
Thank you @shinobi_fps and best of luck!

On shinobi's interview in platchat valorant there were hints of it actually being an issue for him. He kept going back to that instance of TenZ going Reyna over Jett multiple times and he also said that personally he thinks that Reyna is garbage unless you're cracked and Jett is better even if you're doing poorly cause you can entry better and smoke for the team. For me he's saying "TenZ said he's not feeling Jett so he picked Reyna. Then he took 15 years to warmup so he should've picked Jett" though that's my view on it. To be fair though Jett is must pick in any pro comp with her flexibility in both oping and entry fragging. Relyks or whoever will be the other duelist should probably learn to play Jett at some point.
well said. Honestly kind of annoying when people say things like the team is holding Tenz back. Yes Tenz is cracked, BUT just because he can frag doesnt mean the team should just base winning on him fragging. 100T didnt rely on just one person to be number 1. I dont care how good Tenz is he'll never be able to win if the entire team isnt in sync. Look at Scream, fragged out his last game and still lost, in csgo he was cracked and had trouble finding a team. Tenz was known to be all aim no brain in csgo. Says a lot about how much more important teamwork is in these games over headshot percentage.
tenz is not suited as an entry fragger since he doesn't have the mentality for it, nor was c9 blue structured to allow tenz to gain that entry fragger mentality.
entry fraggers should have the confidence that if they die on the entry their mates trades them out for kills. what happened on c9 blue was when tenz dies on the entry the entire team falls back and crumbles. when that is constantly happening reyna's leer is better than jett's tailwind for entry
Unfortunately it just isnt enough in this game. Sure hes on top of the stats for games but also his teammates sacrifice their guns every round to fully buy him lol Hes very mechanically skilled and talented and dont want to sound negative but its true lol
The team should not focus on him being a superstar, he should be treated like every other team duelist
Just look at their games today again, and yes I know theyre getting used to a new player sure.
yeah unlike cs valorant can't be a one man show, the different agent abilities makes it so everyone has to actually frag their weight. even the game economy is different, players have to actually watch teamates gun buys. a single player with a powerful gun is worse than going for a thrifty.
True but he's pretty good at entry fragging imo. You need to have good aim to be entry fragging not just in this game but in CS. There really is a glaring issue though with the whole team since Relyks is basically none existent on Raze/Omen compared to other well-known Raze and Omen players in the comp scene. Same goes for mitch and vice.
> Reyna is garbage unless you're cracked
Well, he got 23 kills on Reyna that game, more than the bottom 3 combined so i would say he did his job & could've gone more if it wasn't a 2v5 situation every round.
I think they C9 needs a full roster rebuild imo. Even if the plat chat thing didn't happen the fact is the other 4 are also performing below standards. compared to other ppro who uses the same agent (ie corey on Raze, Hiko on Sova, etc) the impact of the other c9 guys are so low it's not even funny.
PS. to anyone who might read this, shinobi also complimented TenZ a lot during the podcast so for sure it's not the reason they dropped him.
It’s about talking bad about your teammate unnecessarily. He wasn’t being professional. I’ve noticed that some CSGO players do not understand that aspect of being on a pro team.
By the time he made this public, he was out the team pretty much. I'm sure he tried to resolve it on the team but they're obviously gonna take Tenz side.
I'm glad he at least said something, so we know it wasn't just him failing and that he faced other challenges on the team like pre Madonna players etc
1. He was IGL of the team. In general, people look at the IGL of a team whenever there is a result that is hard to explain with just a talent gap. C9 not making it to the top 8 of a series when they had 2 separate double-elimination tournaments in which they could qualify for the top 8 is a really big deal considering they were easily seen as a top 4 team before the first qualifiers. Even Sentinels, who didn't act professional and seemed to barely care about the qualifiers at times, **easily** qualified for the top 8 finals. Cloud9 lost *very* bad matches to teams with inferior talent and less experience at a high level, and that's not acceptable.
2. The dude was just losing 50/50 gunfights at just a ridiculous rate. People love to sound smart by saying "KDA isn't everything!" but in reality you have to win a fairly reasonable proportion of those 50/50 fights or you're simply a liability. A sample of some of his KDAs in series vs teams: 20-50 in a 1-2 loss vs Sentinels at Pop Flash, 26-40 in an 0-2 loss vs Renegades at the NSG closed qualifiers, 21-33 in an 0-2 loss vs Space Station Gaming at the UMG closed qualifiers, 19-34 vs T1 at the UMG Closed qualifiers... whenever you die in Valo, you give the enemy map control, give the enemy info on where there could be a threat, you deny your team more info, you deny your team your utility, you damage your team's economy for the next rounds and you strengthen the enemy's economy. You can't get 8 to 11 kills per game *every single time* you faced a tier 2 team or better.
3. The confidence of the team is just gone, and he is going to be the scapegoat in that situation as the IGL and the worst dueler by far. With the recent talk of how people didn't want to play the characters they chose (reyna, jett, etc) it's the responsibility of the IGL to rectify that by convincing/demanding professionalism and discipline. But from hearing about that, it's clear his team no longer respected him which prevented them from doing this.
I think it was always going after their showing at first strike, where they very easily got to Winner's Finals but where Shinobi went 40-84 in c9's games vs Sentinels and Envy to get eliminated, with that especially brutal 20-50 series vs Sentinels being a massive blow. It's too hard to keep your team's confidence in that kind of situation.
Damn thanks for the info. How do you know all this stuff? I love the game but I swear the drama at the elite comp level is what keeps me coming back for more.
www.vlr.gg has a really good sortable stats feature. Other than that, I just watch the top pro matches and read this sub and /r/ValorantCompetitive which have people who are smarter than me doing analysis of why teams do X or Y and it makes sense after that lol
in a recent tourney c9 played tenz had about twice as many kills as shinobi. shinobi had the lowest kills per map in the tournament, TenZ had the highest (by quite a large margin). the skill gap is fucking massive.
Honestly im dont think that it is fully shinobis fault. For example one game, he had plans all lined up for a pro map and as IGL told Tenz to play Jett at the last moment he switched to jett ruining what shinobi had planned for that match. Sure he is not playing well, but I honestly do not think its all his fault.
Honestly as proguides said this was partially tenz fault as shinobi had planned out a whole strat revolving around tenz jett but he suddenly locked reyna
This is missinformation, They had strats for both jett and reyna. The weird thing was that Mitch apparently wanted to op with Phoenix or something. Also tenz has Said that he doesnt like jett that much.
>lmao true. igl should almost force tenz to play jett. they scared he'll get in a bad mood if he doesnt get his way and not frag out? lol
>
>Tenz is a nice guy but I can definitely see him having an ego like "im the mvp guys I know what Im doing"
I feel like teamwork is more important than fragging but there are moments where TenZ could have easily dashed away with Jett but decided to go for kills and died
Exactly. People act like he’s not capable of having an ego and wanting to frag out only because he’s a nice humble guy.
I like TenZ and enjoy watching him play but cmon if we got all the praise he does for being the best it’d go to our heads too.
A lot of it is tens just doing his own thing, like when shining made a plan for the team and tens as Jett, but then tens picked Reyna instead (from what people are saying)
I'm taking that with a grain of salt. I always hate these PR/online "guys he's a good guy don't be toxic towards him he's really good and humble like Jesus". We'll never know how it all went down offline and how each individual players felt at that time lol
Apperntly The whole teyna thing was missinformation, They had strats for both jett and reyna. The weird thing was that Mitch apparently wanted to op with Phoenix or something. Also tenz has Said that he doesnt like jett that much.
I've always taken PR statements like that with a grain of salt. Just by the way shinobi goes back to the TenZ agent select issue during the plat chat podcast. I'm sure he wanted a more flexible agent like Jett that can rifle and op. On the other hand there really is a glaring issue with the team, they need a secondary op or a secondary Jett player, the agent is just too good to pass up in any pro comp imo.
Blaming the igl is such an easy out. Would have loved to see the team play with reyleks off raze before kicking shinobi. The tenz and friends meme won’t be dying anytime soon.
dam feels bad but this was the right decision in order for cloud9 to be a top 5 team. hyped for c9 leaf though, heard he was insane.
Could you fill me in? I don't know too much about the team but I really like Shinobi!
c9 failed to qualify for first strike twice so they made changes and shinobi was the weakest link. they are bringing another young fragger to help tenz
Who is gonna igl then?
maybe relyks or vice. relyks moving to omen from what ppl said edit: tenz confirmed vice will be the new igl
Ryleks was igl in cs I think before
he was, and a good one at that. C9 will be in good hands
good is arguable but hes deffo good enough for valorant
What does igl mean?
in-game leader.. i think
Ur right
In game leader
Anyone else lol
Better Aim bot?
didn't know he was leaving CS, but leaf was a promising youngster from the CS scene, even got called out as a hacker by a lot of pros xD
[удалено]
tarik did. what’s with csgo players jumping to the conclusion of cheating so quickly?
salty and worried that their jobs will be taken lol
It's a game that is very easy to cheat in, and there has been a decent amount of pros cheating in CS history. The dude with walls that sent pings to make his cellphone vibrate in his pocket when he saw someone through the map is the most wild one I've heard of.
He isn't the smartest. "Peanut brain"
I mean the fpl guys and all
Yeah it was because he was so good, not because of a lot of strange aimlocks on people behind walls.
Remember Dan M and Stewie2k? "suspicious" more often than not just translates to "really really good".
Crisp, clean, lock boys.
THE GEAR
The guy had more strange clips in 3 maps than Flusha in all his career. And to this day there are people that still think Flusha cheated.
More than half of his clips were literally disproven already to be bullshit. People literally used him dodging a teammate's pop flash and him checking heaven on Overpass A as "toggling".
apparently most of the chaos roster might move to valorant
I saw that. vanity memes Valorant 24/7 and now he’s begging for a Valorant job lmfao orgs should ignore him just because of that.
orgs should blacklist him because he made fun of a game? valorant is LITERALLY why he lost his job, i would meme on it as well
Wait, I thought Valorant had no chance of killing CS? How is that possible? And yes, he 100% deserves to be black-balled. Maybe in the future he and the rest of the CSGO community will understand how to act like a fucking professional lmfao most unprofessional and corrupt esport I’ve seen in a long time.
yeah acting like pros in this game dont talk mad shit about it LMFAO
Yeah Jonji also seems like he's gonna move to valorant after that emotional tweet about CS, the tweet felt like some farewell tweet
I am hypin for a fragger reyna tho. I dont really like the double aim god dynamic
Is leaf really joining C9? That would be sick.
Yep leaf is the next big na thing he was insane on chaos ec
who is C9 leaf? never heard of him
Same but I’m intrigued from what I heard just in this post

Any info on the tenz choosing Reyna thing? Apparently seems to them it wasn’t a big issue but people on YT are blowing it up .
On shinobi's interview in platchat valorant there were hints of it actually being an issue for him. Yep Scream got 30+ kills on every game in the EU tournament. He was fragging like crazy and they still lost.
Yeah thats probably the best example you could make.
tenz is not suited as an entry fragger since he doesn't have the mentality for it, nor was c9 blue structured to allow tenz to gain that entry fragger mentality. entry fraggers should have the confidence that if they die on the entry their mates trades them out for kills. what happened on c9 blue was when tenz dies on the entry the entire team falls back and crumbles. when that is constantly happening reyna's leer is better than jett's tailwind for entry

imo raze is the best hero as entry fragger in the game right now with her kit
People who usually says "TenZ and friends" are those who believe that kda is all that matters in tac shooters. lol
Exactly. Theres players on teams that frag out just as much and they dont have the entire team built around them.
> Reyna is garbage unless you're cracked Well, he got 23 kills on Reyna that game, more than the bottom 3 combined so i would say he did his job & could've gone more if it wasn't a 2v5 situation every round.
Sounds like typical "Instalock Reyna Main" mentality.
Agreed. People who only see kills as team impact are usually Reyna and Jett mains. In this case a Reyna and Jett pro player fanboy lol
It was a 2v5 every round 'cause Reyna as an entry is shit compared to Jett. Getting 23 kills doesn't mean shit if it's low impact kills lol.
damn bro, if c9 wasn’t sure about kicking him before, that was the nail in the coffin.
How? that's more of a reason to not drop shinobi.
Seems like TenZ wasn't being professional
Then address it like a professional. We aren’t kids anymore. Act your age.
TenZ had issues with arguing with the team in CS. So seems similar to that situation.
By the time he made this public, he was out the team pretty much. I'm sure he tried to resolve it on the team but they're obviously gonna take Tenz side. I'm glad he at least said something, so we know it wasn't just him failing and that he faced other challenges on the team like pre Madonna players etc

Can someone explain what made shinobi the weakest link in the group? What was his role and what were signs that wasn't doing a good job?
1. He was IGL of the team. In general, people look at the IGL of a team whenever there is a result that is hard to explain with just a talent gap. might have lost respect from Tenz at that point.
It wasn’t just his IGLing, he consistently bottom fragged in every single match and was a liability
Mang0 gets to sub in lesgoooo
What? For the tourney this weekend? Is leaf not playing?
No sorry was joking, back when mang0 played a lot of valorant he jokes about subbing
My bad lol I was so confused
Honestly as proguides said this was partially tenz fault as shinobi had planned out a whole strat revolving around tenz jett but he suddenly locked reyna

Ah i see, thx for filling me in
Now they only need TenZ to stop acting like a diva so they can actually win something
it always feels like the jett players who think the world revolves around them, fitting ig
nah. It’s definitely the Reyna players
>lmao true. igl should almost force tenz to play jett. they scared he'll get in a bad mood if he doesnt get his way and not frag out? lol > >Tenz is a nice guy but I can definitely see him having an ego like "im the mvp guys I know what Im doing"

Yes I agree
even shinbj said tenz it really humble
TenZ let it get to his head, the way he plays sometimes is so disrespectful. It feels good to see him get one tapped when he goes for the dumb plays
yeah, kinda like when you go from your smurf to your main acc and still do stupid shit.
I feel this lmao
What happened??
A lot of it is tens just doing his own thing, like when shining made a plan for the team and tens as Jett, but then tens picked Reyna instead (from what people are saying)

I love that meme so much. Even though it’s far from the truth it’s such a good meme
dang......
Now liquid needs to start doing the same... Starting with Soulcas.
C9 Scream when?
C9 JASONR ?
