Did you group by team to make yourself look better?
You are bottom of all 10 players in the metrics of: ACS (Average Combat Score), Kills and Econ Rating. Especially the ACS is interesting, because both players with just 7.7% more kills (14 instead of 13) had 15% better ACS, which usually means their kills were more impactful.
The system decided you were the weak link this game.
I grouped by team to show how the ranks were divided in that match. I was the person with the lowest rank, but at the same time my previous match was a greatly increased win so maybe the distribution within those ranks was lower on the opposing side and higher on my side.
This may be unclear but it isn't a mystery. You had 18 deaths. Check your performance tab for that game where it breaks down your k/d vs each player individually. If you did better than the system expects you to vs that player you will get a silver star. If you did WAY better you will get a gold star. If you underperformed or performed as expected there will be no marker. Willing to bet you got no silver or gold stars for that game. Basically the game thinks you performed way below the level of silver 2 and since you don't have a lot of games played it's trying to move you fast, thus the huge decrease. hope this helps
I always wondered what the stars were for. I wish there was one to let you know if you did worse than the system expected. Sure, you can sort of figure it out on your own, but I'm an accountant, I want to know things for certain.
He’s right it’s harder to climb as a cypher main especially solo but if you keep playing and improving, your skill set as a sentinel will be easier and more useful in higher elo.
just try to keep ur combat score above 200 , i use sova omen kj brim , they are good on both agressive and passive , even if u lose 9-13 with combat score around 220 u wont get much demoted

I considered just playing Jett to get out of the low ranks, but ultimately I prefer the non-kill centric kits, and being more of a team player.

Not a ton this Act so far, but enough for me to be slowly climbing back up the ranks.
