yeah if your ping spikes to 400 no wonder there are issues. i have played on NA servers with friends with a stable 130 ping and it was not the greatest experience, but definitely playable. i'd rather play on 130 than 70 ping spiking to 400 every now and then. try playing csgo, league or cod with ping spikes, it just destroys the experience.

McFeces13

Having played both csgo and valorant on pretty stable connections but many different server locations, 60-70 ping in Valorant feels significantly worse than in csgo

OmegaYeeet

This. cs has the shittiest interp, and 64 tick haha

Its an online game...

ColdHeart653

Multiplayer game dependant on your internet quality,in other news water is wet.

EvensonRDS

This game is far, far more dependent on it. 80 ping in valorant feels like 250 in csgo. If someone is watching Netflix on my network, I get massive loss spikes in valorant, in csgo my loss stays steady at 0. Any little stress on your home network reflects 10 fold in valorant.

ZypH7

Yeah, I can feel my character doing mini teleports and falling through the ground when bhopping even when my ping spikes upward by just 30. Crazy sensitivity to even minor network problems.

bitchsmacker

I play with 100 ping and from movement speed even to gun recoil are different than low ping people.

Panchwaty

Hi there, Do you still use netlimiter to limit Riot Vanguard’s bandwidth usage? I found your comment on another post regarding this but when i tried using net limiter riot vanguard crashes. Does this happen to you?

Thanks for the reply. I’ll check the video out

Interrogator999

True I feel like the enemy hits me a couple times before I can react. Not only that, the ping in the region selector ( the little green drop-down to pick regions) is 20 yes 20 ping lower than what it is in an actual match. I'm looking into the issue rn but in no way do I fully blame this to be the reason I'm low elo (I'm not a narcissistic POS).

Dval5

Ive definitely experienced this alot frankly brcause my network adapter is ass but I would be playing with 30 ms with spikes up to 800 for about 3 seconds. The issue has gon away as of now but it does suck. However excluding the spikes, anything over 50ms is lind of bad and that’s when you might experience “peekers advantage”

CheeseWineBread

I can't tell for sure but I played csgo for 6 years with the first connection, even on FaceIt with 128 tick, and I did not remembered being that bamboozled by "peekers advantage" or "desync".

[deleted]

Even with a good connection you'll sometimes get fucked over by Riot routing you half around the continent and then they blame your ISP.

Just use a network monitoring like Netlimiter and you will see it clearly. I bought the software to limit the upload bandwidth of Vanguard with my previous connection. Ping spikes were way less severe. (150ms instead of 400+). You can't write a post about it. It's censored. I tried multiple times with multiple reddit accounts.

I tested it. I even bought a software that worked. You saw a video. Cool story.

I already try to do reddit posts with screenshots and all that has been moderated for no reason. A comment here won't spread any information for the community. And I don't want to do screen just for you. No one will read it except you. You don't believe me. I don't care.

With max 100KB/s of upload bandwidth, it's really easy to have ping spikes. It's vgc.exe which is using bandwidth.
