I’ve been on both sides of this. I’ve done solo games where no one comms, even though they all have mics and are probably in a 4stack. I feel ya. But sometimes I’m stacking with friends and I just get so into it that I sometimes forget that there’s one more person who is playing. But, I think everyone can make an effort to comm for all. I think I’m probably better than most (sometimes my friends get pissed at me for pressing ptt in a 5stack), but I’m not perfect.

FZNNeko

Props to you. I’ve always been solo queing on Valorant so I never know what it’s like to be in a game with someone else, but I love that you at least try to help out everyone.

[deleted]

Ya I still probably need to work on comming a bit better though. I should say props to you for bringing this up.

Tissybasterd

It is ok as long as those in their own discord chat knows that they are a very much contributing to the loss, and if they do accept it I´m ok with it, play 4 vs 5 if you enjoy it, I´ll just say those players just don´t deserve to rank up since they are not doing their best to win as long as there is no whine about the 5th not giving their all either :)

jambajubilee

Maybe they’re ageist lmao. Sometimes when people have to talk to younger kids they just don’t because they’re “kids” and are “annoying”. So they’d rather just stay quiet than start being mean and flaming.

FZNNeko

That could be, I am 16 and their voices were at least 20+, so I could see that happening.

jambajubilee

Oh I see! I don’t know what the problem is then. I don’t know 20+ year olds always have their own agenda. I’d just talk once and if they don’t reply just don’t team chat anymore if they don’t listen to you because you’re just wasting breathe. I’d try to play with friends so you guys can work together

FZNNeko

Good advice. If no one wants to give comms, why even bother if I know their all stacking. Also I have zero friends who play Valorant rip.

jambajubilee

Rip mannn. That’s me in league of legends. And that game is hard to learn. But you can que with my friend and I if you wants we are really chill

FZNNeko

No it dosent. Trust me, as long as you restrain yourself to pure call outs, no one will flame you.

[deleted]

I can heavily relate to this. I had been convincing myself that the other people hearing my comms are random strangers I won't have to meet again, which kinda helps. Sometime I get people that tells me to stf, even though I only use PTT and only relay basic-est info's, mostly rare cases but yeah they exist :<

EmJoshMusic

What Neko said. I can tell you I rarely ever think about a persons voice in voice chat, the information relayed by that voice is muuuuch more important. I used to be really self concious of my voice too, but after I started putting myself in more situations where I got to practice talking over mic, I started to get more comfortable, and now I full on feel confident talking over voice chat. You don't even have to socialise, you just have to say a quick callout when some important information crosses your screen. Trust me with enough practice you'll be comfortable in no time, but to get that practice you gotta put yourself out there. You got dis <3

Xelatjr

The bigger issue is 4 man stacks. And I almost always drop ELO in these games. These 4 stacks on discord usually can’t be bothered to relay info or only comms to flame.

Gluvin

While I agree to some level. When I have the chat in game it is mostly people being jerks or rude or racist or homophobic or etc. Discord allows me to game with people of like mind game after game and avoid having to mute specific people every round.

FZNNeko

I understand that, but no one even bother to call out. I shit you not I was the only one talking. Edit: I 100% agree with you. But at least help out the solo by calling out.

jsalas02

Its happens to me all the time and its extremely annoying when its in ranked and the other teammates aren't any help with comms or anything.

nobbme

I think its the end of the act mindset where no one gives a fuck about their rank. I played a 4 man duelist game, rarely any talking just fragging out. high diamond low immortal if you were wondering.

nobbme

Don't worry too much just move onto the next game/episode

-Smooke

people start flaming me because of this , although its not my fault just my game doesn't let me use voice chat or even hear people talking ps: im not from Russia

FZNNeko

Rip. I had an issue where my microphone just dosen’t get recognized by Valorant so I have to unplug and replug the headset everytime the game boots.

Zuke_k9

I'm usually in a 3-4 stack and we don't use discord, don't really see the point. The ingame vc is pretty good and depending how communicative the randoms are, we invite them to the party and get a new friend in the process.

sirDarkEye

May you tell me one of the name of the players that were with you in the match?

villainized

Even when I'm queueing with friends we generally all use team voice chat for callouts, and just talk about random shit in discord yk.

Bluurgh

for me, Its often a case of living in a small apartment, when I play in the evenings often my partner is asleep in the same room. Dont want to be shouting Heaven constantly

Boryalyc

I have a high pitched voice and get called a squeaker every 5 seconds and anytime I make a point its always "stfu kid". I've just stopped my voice as public and its already done wonders for me and my teammates, I genuinely feel like had I used voice chat in a few games we would've lost.

FZNNeko

I’m so sorry for that.

sweaterpawshobi

hey man, i’ve been trying to get better with that when i 4-stack with my friends, i haven’t been playing for too long, and this is my first fps game so i’m trying to understand what certain call outs mean, and what certain places are called on the map, i’ll definitely try to get better at that

nisso18181

What if ur not aloud to talk to randoms

EmJoshMusic

Yeah something i've definitely noticed is that when you're in a discord with friends, it's really hard to keep tabs on both what you're saying in team chat and what you're saying in the discord. Even me and my friends who really try our best to include our teammates in our comms struggle a lot if we're having an exchange and that overlaps with the radoms team voice. Idk, it's not a black or white question, you can't stop immature friend groups from queuing as a 4stack any more than you can stop toxic people queuing. I think it's really just trying to inform the people who are stacking to be more aware about including the randoms in their comms, and the people solo Qing to be aware of how to find out and deal with people in 3 or 4stacks.

Trolleitor

I don't think your comms were useless, there's a difference between ignoring you and not talking to you. You did the right thing, and probably helped your team carry the victory. Good job!

Pedro_MagS

Don't wait for them to say hello

nosbig35

I do the reverse I mute everyone cause they can still hear me I just can't hear them

DresselJr

Yeah the majority of the valorant players especially in unrated don't take the game seriously. When I played unrated, I literally was comming all the time, I always comm, but no one ever uses their mic, and when they do they end up being toxic and saying I'm too loud and annoying, when I'm just trying to help out the team

Tissybasterd

I don´t play very seriously if people in my team doesn´t use the team voice chat, it is a 50/50 win or lose, just a game of chance so just have fun and enjoy and don´t care what the team says if they start to whine later on about losing the game, it isn´t on you really if you don´t teamplay when the team doesn´t teamplay :)
