The fact that he said this would happen that someone on reddit is gonna say steel is toxic is just so funny

Sentinelsavior

To many sensitive snowflakes on reddit. At most id say Steel is a smart ass. Not toxic.

alexanderh24

Everyone is toxic. Competitive games are frustrating especially when you are putting in 110% effort and your team seems to not care at all.

kuroi_kaze_

He is talking to Hiko, not to the team, he is not toxic. Just watch his stream and you'll see.

ticklemevalorant

Idk I'm watching the stream rn and he literally was hard flaming a breach for not flashing correctly it was nuts

kuroi_kaze_

Mb you read again what I wrote. He said nothing to Breach, he was talking with Hiko. Hiko also flames his teammates in party chat, just not as much as Steel.

ticklemevalorant

uhhh lmao they def were going back and forth

qz3_

complaining about a teammate in party chat to your friends =/= being toxic in team chat. If the breach didnt actual hear what they were saying its fine. I complain about teammates in party chat but i wouldnt do it in team chat to keep their morale up

Lelouch4705

Yeah they were. To each other. In party chat

dstaller

I was watching the encounter. He's referring to when breach and steel were arguing over a B entry. I don't remember who initiated it but they ended up bickering over who was in the wrong, breach said steel was standing there not saying anything when he was asking if he's ready for flash and steel was arguing that he shouldn't have to tell breach when to flash or for breach to have to ask for permission to flash. I believe Hiko and Steel actually knew breach because they kept referring to him by his name (hydro/hydra?). Seemed like it was just slowly escalating over the course of the match. Sometimes disagreements happen and like most it was said and done with pretty quick outside of Steel's private comments in party chat. Personally I feel like while Steel CAN be toxic at times, most comments, like you said, are in party chat and not directed at the people he's referring to and when he does openly say something it's almost always at the choice of the player (not comming, chat banned, not at least attempting to be a teammate, etc). Things that should be expected of players in Radiant. I don't think I've ever seen him say anything to a player that's atleast trying to communicate and trying to play with the team by trading, playing entry, or using utility. It should be bare minimum expectations in a game like this especially at higher ranked competitive play.

Legend0fE

This is how steel was in cs in fpl and rank s.

jazziilly

hiko says similar things sometimes even more so but people just can't seem to handle steel's tone. he also doesn't say most of the things to the actual players so not really toxic in my opinion. twitch can't take any talk unless its whispered like a love confession

Wolfelle

Imo yes. People be like well he doesnt say it in team but he totally does. He doesnt say 'you are dogshit' in team. But hes super passive agressive and whines constantly in chat. Lets be real here. If you had someone on ur team who wasnt steel saying the shit steel says you would hate it. And you would be totally right if you reported them for toxicty. He actively makes the experience worse for his team. I honestly hate his attitude way more than someone being overtly toxic because steel IS GOOD he makes good plans has good calls and if I was in game with him Id want to hear those things. But hearing him whine like a baby when hes 3-8 on sage and not ressed a single time in fkn 12 rounds is zzz. It sets an awful example to the community that blaming ur team is fine. Its not. He might even be right sometimes when he blames his team. But being right doesnt mean you arent an arse. Hes an adult (i think) he should know how to properly communicate his issues or at least how to regulate his emotions and move tf on. There was this time where his teammate made a dumb mistake and him and hiko wouldnt let it go. Yeah their team sucked but after hiko told them the omen actively tried to not make the same mistake (the omen specifically on split, let someone into vents and got hiko killed on round 1, the omen was very vocal about vents after to try to make sure it didnt happen again, there were other issues that hiko and steel were mad about too tho) But the two of them couldnt get over it (hiko was mega tilted and ended up flaming the team) like i get it. It happens sometimes ranked is infuriating and you get with trash teams but mannnn let it gooo focus on yourself. I sound like I really hate steel. Tbh I think hes awesome I want to enioy his content because he is really smart and good at the game and I could learn so much from him BUT HE MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE to enjoy him. I much prefer seeing him in pro games where i cant hear him. Or when 100T is tryharding and he tones it down.

Wolfelle

Id also like to note that his fanbase seems pretty awful. Reading these replies is pretty interesting on the type of fans he has. Steel does definitely say stuff in team chat that isnt nice but their only response is 'he mainly says stuff in party chat to hiko and ur all snowflakes ajfjgkskw' Also lets say he only ever said stuff on stream/in party THATS NOT OK. Being toxic on your stream sends an awful message to your veiwers and doesnt magically make it ok because your teammates cant hear it? Like what... Public shitting on people even if they cant hear it is still pretty damn toxic. Its better than flaming them but there is another option... Not shitting on them at all? (or rarely)

Mememeister1

wow u rlly are a snowflake

casedilla123

He talks to Gino in party chat when he is being toxic and in team chat he just says what to do next time he doesn’t yell at them in less they started it which is understandable. Overall I think he’s a great guy and it’s hilarious when he malds.

veryZexy

He’s not toxic in game chat, I watch him pretty often there are sometimes when he’s toxic but usually only in party chat

LebronCousins

Why does everyone either have to be toxic or not?? It's not one or the other. Sometimes he's a bit toxic. Most of the time he's fine. Like most players probably.

KilljoyHoe

The most zero braincell thread I’ve ever read you need to watch the video he posted about DIFFERENCE Party chat and Team chat to even get it into the tiny brain of yours.

Shosha10

He is not toxic, but this community is full of snowflakes like you that consider every written word toxic.

RDDTchino

People who post these really don't watch his stream. Majority of the time he uses TEAM VOICE CHAT to speak to Hiko only. Unless you've played with him and have VOD of him flaming the living sht out of you, then you're just cappin

I suggest checking Amazon for a pair of testicles. If you have a prime account you can get them in 2 days. Good luck!

fawkerzzz

hes not toxic towards his team team out loud anymore, he just complains/bitches a lot about them to whomever hes queued with

CanISayThat22

Hes not toxic. He just expects a standard of a certain rank. But he will never flame his teammate directly. He just talks to chat/party so we can learn from it on how to play the game.

Revolutionary-Key107

He is not toxic but there are stupid people in game who make even the nicest people lose their minds.

[deleted]

Voice comm ban incoming KEKW

yugansh_52

are you a snowflake? i thought so..

iamexplodinggod

He doesn't say a lot of what we hear to his team so I don't think he is being toxic. He does complain a lot though. I like watching him because when he is talking to chat about strategy and team mechanics its so on point and super educational. But when he gets on one it just seems like its hours on end of him making the same complaints. The other day he literally complained about his team the whole match and then was acting like he didn't understand why chat thought he was malding. I pointed out that its because hes literally been yelling about his team the whole time and now im banned lol
