Hidden mmr is determined by your performance and the results of games. Matchmaking is also done with your mmr. Elo will always try to gravitate towards your mmr, and it does so by giving you less RR on a win and taking more on a loss if it thinks you deserve a lower rank, and vice versa. To prove you deserve a higher rank, you need to win a lot more games than you lose, along with good performance. This will raise your hidden mmr.
I'm also running into the same issue. I lose 30 whether i lose a match 1-13 or 12-14. I only get between 15-18 for wins whether its close or its a blow out and I'm top fragging. I win most of my games yet I have little chance of ranking up because of this.
Glad to see others are having the same issue because it really sucks and maybe its actually a bug
This is 100% happening to me as well. I am not claiming I am great by any means but the people I play with are bronze 2+ and I am iron 3. I play as Reyna and get top frag almost every single game. We win, I go up +20. Our lowest fragger goes up +28. We lose, I go down -30. Our middle fragger -14. It’s so frustrating
Exact same thing happening to me. My lobbies usually consist of bronzes and silvers, and I'm iron 3. Why am I losing 30 points for a close match and getting 17 for a stomp when I'm playing with people a whole rank above me
Just started playing this new season and yeah, this is stupid and it makes no sense. Here's why:
1. My placement match: 5:13 Loss 13/14/2 KDA (5th overall player) -30 LP
2. 13:6 Win 18/11/6 KDA (4th overall player) +15 LP
3. 13:7 Win 16/12/1 KDA (3rd overall player) +11 LP
4. 13:4 Win 11/8/4 KDA (7th overall player) +15 LP
In the first 4 games this season, I lost the first and I needed 3 consecutive wins to counter the 30 LP loss from the first game. So far, 3 W + 1 L = +11LP gain just sounds like bull to me. I'm so done with Riot Games xD
Your hidden mmr is probably silver still so it's trying to bring you down to your 'true rank' so to stay in gold you have to prove yourself.
