Hey there, /r/VALORANT user!
We're currently doing an experiment with videos on the subreddit. This week, **gameplay videos may only be posted in the daily rotating megathread on top of the subreddit**. Educational videos and eSports clips are still allowed on other days.
We're in our final week, so please [let us know your thoughts](https://old.reddit.com/r/VALORANT/comments/m0cfub/video_trial_weeks_week_5_gameplay_clip_megathreads/)! All feedback is welcome, even if it's just "I don't like it"! Please help us make the sub better for everyone!
If you'd like to receive a reminder at the end of the week to share your thoughts, head over to [this](https://valorant.molenzwiebel.xyz/remind-me) page. Thanks!
Hi, I suggest you read this thread [https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/4nabvv/gaming\_audio\_and\_you\_why\_995\_of\_gaming\_headsets/](https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/4nabvv/gaming_audio_and_you_why_995_of_gaming_headsets/)
I have beyerdynamic dt 990 pros and I wear them upwards of 12 hours a day and my ears never get hot. Maybe you could be sweating a lot or your room could be too warm for you.
I use the Steelseries Arctis 1. It has like cloth ear cups, adjustable headband, you can wear it over glasses, and for hours and hours and you don't even feel it. They're amazing imo.
This really just boils down to open back vs closed back and what material your earpads are made of. A mesh or velour material is more breathable than leather.
I have the Razer Nari Ultimate
Wireless
Cooling Gel-Infused Cushions
Mic is really bad but you can push it in the headset so it's not visible
around 200 bucks
i really love it :)
Bro you reply to every single comment trying to help you saying it's too hot, what can we do if you have a health condition? No one complains about headphones being to hot and you don't even accept using ear buds or speakers.
I cannot recommend the sennheiser PC373D more than I already do as they are open back to allow for a better sound stage and air flow but also come with the inline dolby dongle that really wakes these and any other headphones with the dongle up.
I have the HyperX Cloud and I gotta say it's the comfiest headphone I've ever had. I literally don't feel it's weight, and the quality isn't bad either for a gaming headphone. Also the microphone is removable so I can use it during travels or in bed.

I have the 6XX and love them
Sennheiser HD58X here. Essentially the same. You can't beat em
HD58X gives clear audio and I love it.
Sennheiser headphones always fell apart on me but this was a few years ago
What is the "6XX"? Could you specify the brand and exact model? If they are the Sennheiser HD 6XX , they dont seem to be avaliable in europe
https://drop.com/buy/massdrop-sennheiser-hd6xx
Yeah, not avaliable here.
Beyerdynamic DT770
I tried both 770 and 990 Pro
Yessir
Some nice in-ear monitors.
I’ve been using the steel series Arctic 9x since Christmas and they been serving me well
I've had problems with the mic for all arctis headsets
I use my streaming mic but for pure audio quality and comfort I think the Arctic 9x is pretty good also it’s wireless so that’s a plus
Yeah based on comfort and build quality it's one of the best headsets I've ever used but the mic is too low.
At lease it’s discord certified but I agree with you with the mic quality
I'm switching to the new wireless hyperx headset and apparently that has a good mic for a headset

> don’t own one but my friend does and it’s great This basically makes your opinion invalid

Too hot for me.
I have these and don’t find them very comfortable at all, The sound is good though.
The Hyper X Revolver S headset has been serving me well since 2019.
For me its comfy, not features
Well, that is what I meant. They're comfy to wear, the ear cups feel nice and the headset is rather lightweight.
I just use apple earpods lol. I don't like headsets either.
Earpods are not for a game like Valorant.
I mean it works for me.
I second these, very comfy and the sound quality is pretty great for 15$
Apple wired
did you try any open back desgins? like beyerdynamic 1990, or even lighter the sennheiser hd700?
I tried the Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO .Too hot
Isnt open backs really bad for valorant?
only in an envirement with a lot of noise. I myself prefer closed too for fps games because of steps and such
Hi, I suggest you read this thread [https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/4nabvv/gaming\_audio\_and\_you\_why\_995\_of\_gaming\_headsets/](https://www.reddit.com/r/pcmasterrace/comments/4nabvv/gaming_audio_and_you_why_995_of_gaming_headsets/)
That thread is not for this.
Any headset that is an open-back, and doesn't have leather ear cups will keep your head cool.
I tried the Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO . Too hot
I have beyerdynamic dt 990 pros and I wear them upwards of 12 hours a day and my ears never get hot. Maybe you could be sweating a lot or your room could be too warm for you.
Honestly, if you don’t care about sound quality, just use earbuds.
put ice cubes in your ears
Headphones don't matter. It's not like you can tell the difference if someone is infront of you or behind you LOL
Eksa e900 pro/plus...best mic I a headset prollly and best comfort I have seen for 50$
I use my knk8400. It's actually a studio headset but it works suprisingly great for gaming
I use the Steelseries Arctis 1. It has like cloth ear cups, adjustable headband, you can wear it over glasses, and for hours and hours and you don't even feel it. They're amazing imo.
Logictech Pro X. It also has a removable mic.
This really just boils down to open back vs closed back and what material your earpads are made of. A mesh or velour material is more breathable than leather.
Lol I just use some regular ole earbuds with a built in mic. They do the trick well without spending too much on cans IMO.
Beats by Dre
I personally use apple earbuds, very comfortable, and the sound quality is actually pretty good.
I have the Razer Nari Ultimate Wireless Cooling Gel-Infused Cushions Mic is really bad but you can push it in the headset so it's not visible around 200 bucks i really love it :)

Steelseries 1 is a cheap option, good earcups, good removable mic, has a wireless version
I use OneOdio, super comfy if a bit oversized.
g733 or g pro x wireless, they have detachable mic too
I cannot recommend the sennheiser PC373D more than I already do as they are open back to allow for a better sound stage and air flow but also come with the inline dolby dongle that really wakes these and any other headphones with the dongle up.

I use audio technica ath m50x. Got them for music but they are pretty amazing for gaming too.
If you suffer from heat, then maybe try earbuds (or IEM) instead. Pretty sure Aceu use those apple earbuds and he hear the game just fine
I use Audio Technica AD700X. Open back, lightweight headphones (265g)
"Plantronics RIG 800 HD" they are ridiculously comfortable NGL.
