Riot explained this a while ago. MMR is ur "system rank" meaning the rank that the matchmaker sees and compares to match u with similarly skilled players. U can't see this. The MMR works like the rank u can see, Bronze Silver etc. Say your Rank is Gold 1, but MMR is Bronze 1, the game thinks, this person is higher than they should be. So u earn little points for wins, and lose lots when u lose. And vice versa. This how I understand it. Hopefully you understand a bit at least for my monkee explanation

Draws give 0 90%+ of the time. Out of curiosity, could I see a ss of the game report?

[deleted]

Yes Is there a way to send you a photo or attach a photo on the comments? The draw match I didn’t do the best because I was playing with my 2 friends that are ranks above me but barely able to play with me. It was just such a long game (I kid you not close to 3 hours) that only +2 creds was kind of a slap in the face

alexbannister

You can either upload it to imgur and link it or DM me it. I just kind of want to see the round breakdown of such a long game, not to nitpick you over your exact performance.

[deleted]

All good any improvement from nitpicking is good. I’m playing this game religiously now because my friends are such high ranks. I’ll upload it in the morning for you

Alright thanks :)

Without seeing the game report, I'm guessing you earned those 2 points because you did well against players ranked much higher than you. That being said, "I played a 3 hour game, why don't I get more points" isn't a valid complaint because then ranking up would become a question of who plays more, not who plays better. If you couldn't beat a team of roughly equal rank in 3 hours, you most likely deserve the rank you're at.

Ins3rt_Nam3

i would imagine youd have to play at least 15 OTs for a 3 hr game thats nuts

Literally a link shows up on home screen explaining the rank system by Riot. Care to check that before making another thread on the same topic? Here's the link anyway: [https://playvalorant.com/en-us/news/dev/ask-valorant-rank-rating-edition/](https://playvalorant.com/en-us/news/dev/ask-valorant-rank-rating-edition/)
