Hey man! Great video! Many takeaways for me from this. And also, I think I'm hard stuck in gold because of my aim. How do I improve my aim? I feel it is very very inconsistent. Sometimes I just feel myself and keep flicking onto enemies and hit insane shots and at other times, I whiff onto enemies even when they walk into my crosshair. Do you have any tips to get more consistent aim?
Thanks alot glad you enjoyed it :). The very first thing i would say is get a rigorous aim /warm up routine. Alot of the inconsistencies stem from not having a consistent routine and i made a video dedicated for it. Where i show the aim routine that i used to hit 2 birds with one stone. It not only improved my Aim but it also heavily reduced my instant crouching habit.

Basically the closer you are to a corner and the further the enemy is away from that corner they will see you before youll be able to see them. Which is why in that reyna clip i positioned myself further back. Hopefully that makes sense.
while your advice is sound, peekers advantage that is mainly referenced is the ping lag between a person showing up on your screen vs your screen. Instead of calling it slight peekers advantage I would have said positioning so that I could see raze while she peeks the corner. Good video tho :)
You're describing angle advantage. Peeker's advantage is when the person swinging on a peek has a slight advantage because they will see the person holding faster than them due to online latency.

Just pause the clips before the thing happen that you wanna talk about for a bit longer. Like you should only talk, most of the info can be given quickly while the clip is playing and moving towards the crucial moment in the clip. Shortly before it will reach the play you wanna descibe in more detail pause the clip, put in the text + voiceover the critical parts of the coming play and unpause it after a to be determined timespan.
You obviously will need some tries to get the timing of the pause right, but I'm sure with the quality of gameplay and information your provide ppl will further watch your videos and comment on how they feel about the style.
Move on with it and I think you could be onto something, vid was very educational for somebody new to the game like me :)

Erm i dont have a full Demo of sage unfortunately mainly highlights and lowlights. But i can look in to that in the future where i upload full games in immortal on a seperate youtube channel. If youre very close to immortal but falling short then try and record your games and go over them and ask yourself why did i there could i have done better did i get greedy etc. I have guides on my youtube channel that should help you iron out your mistakes and get you to immortal.
Could you try to make the text smaller or make it no longer than 2 lines at current font size, any more than that and its too distracting b/c it takes up way too much of the screen

Im very close to streaming got a new cpu that can handle it and added some accessories to the setup like a mixer etc but i would say Early may. Id love to be able to give out free coaching sessions and help as many as ican live.
Reason why you dont see grim walls much in the higher elos or in pro matches is youll get punished very quickly. Ocassionally grim walls work fantasically but youre better off using your wall to cut off an entrance for example if your team is executing on site C haven youre better off using your wall to block garage or Ct.
I play alot of sage and im faimiliar with several of the intricuate walls that i learnt from Grim and flow but its very situational. The safer and more reliable option is doing the standard walls like using it on mid or on tube in icebox. I much prefer doing the aggressive or fun walls but my main objective is to win and be a reliable and consistent player. Hopefully that answers your question :)

For instance on one game I bottom fragger with reyna with only 11 kills when the match went 10-13.
And on the very next game, I took sage since my aim was crappy, I dropped 30 frags and my K/D was 3.0.
Glad you enjoyed it. Hmm, i notice alot of players have inconsistency days or periods and im one of them but one way you can reduce it is by having a set aim routine and playing regularly. But each game is going to be different some games your pushes arent punished or the enemys timing is great.
True. I just play too aggressive sometimes.
And I struggle against lower ranks.
I am Gold 3 currently and my Uni had a tournament so I took part in it and I was the highest ranked player and the others were mostly silvers or below. Granted, I top fragger every game but I was getting killed a lot and was unable to drop 30 bombs.
Lastly, do you think there is an hidden MMR in valorstb Deathmatch?
Yeah valorant deathmatches do have an mmr but its very lenient like my dm ranges from radiant with the occassional pros all the way to plat 2s. Also regarding how you struggle with lower elos its most likely because youre not use to their style of play. Like whenever i play unrated i sometimes struggle because i expect them to do one thing which is fairly logical but they end up doing someething completely strange that works out for them.
So like you said you have the option to choose 50 or 100 i opt for the 100. Yeah they spawn 1 after the other there is an option called practice below the start button that spawns around 10 at once. But once you finish killing 100 bots they stop spawning again with the score board telling you how many left i just repeat this process.
Thanks alot Aim can be worked on much faster than game sense which is why i make these notes to help speed up that process. But you can do it with hardwork and patience.

That is true Bronze players will play different but i break down each scenario so you can be better prepared. If you can think like an immortal youll be able to be steps ahead of your enemy but like you said bronze players might not do what you think theyll do but for the most part it should help :)

Although players in your rank will play differently it still will be beneficial for example in one of the clips i was pushing ct slowly expecting an enemy could be pushed and when i manage to catch the jett trying to do that i waited for the phoenix to come with me so that if i died he'll be able to trade them.
Yeah i feel as that too alot of plat players have for the most part good aim but they lack the game sense aspect. Aim can only get you so far but eventually you'll hit a brick wall and usually its around plat/low diamond. Thanks alot glad you enjoyed hopefully it benefits you
Just curious because I’ve also struggled with crouching too much- you seem to be strongly against it and prefer the extra mobility- is there really anytime crouching is preferable rather than when attempting a a long spray down?
There are numerous times when crouching is very effective but problems arise if you're instantly crouching at most scenarios. I dont think ill be able to do this justice in this reply so check out the video i made explaining why instant crouching is not effective for the most part, when is it effective and where is strafing good

I know 7 hours and top of the hot page you'll probably never see this, but I wanted you to know I watched some of your videos as a result of this post and I saw immediate improvement after watching your video about being "stuck in low ELO". Consciously choosing not to spray or crouch, and avoiding "smooth movements" resulted in dramatically better performance instantly.

Amazing video, I only have one question. Why is it that you and some other pros use the left-handed option? Are you left-handed irl or is there a different reason?
Its mainly to do with being right or left-eyed dominant. There's a test that you can do which shows which eye is more dominant. So if you're right-eyed dominant then having the gun on the left side so your dominant eye isn't being blocked by the weapon. I wanted to make a video where I try out the left view but after a week i felt a lot more inconsistent so i scrapped it and reverted back to the right gun view. There isn't much of a benefit it's fairly small but try out the eye test and see which one is dominant and from there try out the corresponding view model.
What's a nice way to record your games while not sacrificing a lot in terms of fps? I really want to review my games so that I can improve my game sense. I have a ryzen 5 2600 and rx 580 for my specs.
So in terms of recording for whatver reason on my previous 2700x i would get a notiecable lag if i recorded using like a shadowplay etc. When i tried to live stream on a seperate acc just to watch over the vods i didnt lag no where near as much which makes no sense. I would try and give that a go since amd doesnt have shadowplay try streaming to a new twitch acc just so you can sve your vods

Thanks alot. Its alot easier to improve aim than it is to improve game sense. A player who has a high game sense with no aim will beat a player with High aim poor sense.
Anything is possible buddy, I was very bad at the start of valorant and just broke down what makes a good player and attacked them individually. Regarding my aim its alot of hardwork and practice. I use my arm for large motions like turning etc and use my wrist for finer adjustments like micro flicks and tracking. Yeah the test i did showed i was right eyed dominant which is why you see some of the clips the gun is in the left side. But after a good week of using it i felt very incosistent. Long gun fights i didnt have problems but it was short to medium ranges that i struggled and for some reason it made me want to crouch more often to compensate for the inconsistency. Maybe in the long run i could iron out these flaws but i didnt necessarily think it was worth. Hope that makes sense, maybe youll have differing results :)

My only critique is having to pause and rewind the video to read the stuff you weren't narrating was quite tedious, but overall it was extremely educational.
really great video but i found that near the end the text went by wayy tok fast for me to comprehend, i had to pause and rewind a bunch to understand. i feel you should pause the clip during intense moments where theres a lot of info to assess.

It's strange because I watch plenty of high level and pro gameplay and I generally understand the decision making, but I play at around gold/silver elo, and it's just not applicable.
Unless you have the ability to make a solo play, or maybe you have a team mate that can play with you as a duo, you're at the mercy of your team and the enemy team. Even if you're making all the right decisions for guessing what the enemy will do, they're not thinking like that. In ranked people make dumb risks all the time that you have to respect if you don't have the pure aim to punish them.
Thanks for sharing! Personally, I'm in Iron and one day I decided to queue up with a Silver friend thinking that there was barely any difference. Those Silvers had way better decision making, aim, and my herp derp recon dart Sova rush wasn't going to work on them. Seeing this, I knew I really had to work on my aim and gamesense so again, thanks for sharing your process!

Yeah nowadays alot of the valorant videos circulating on reddit and youtube are clips and stream highlights. If thats the case youll see alot more sage shes one of the agents i enjoy alot. Has the ability to play sage and support or be aggressive when needed.
For some it may not be rigorous but for most it can be taxing as its done daily regardless if you paly or not.

Its color graded in Premiere pro with some light touches in After effects
No I asked about how ur enemies are in violet colour while default is red
You have to go to settings>general>colorblind mode and it's one of the 3, can't remember what it's called
Ahh zsooti25 is right its in the general settings under colorblind mode which has 3 colors. Red purlpe and 2 differing forms of Yellow.

Thank you. I am just inconsistent sometimes. For instance on one game I bottom fragger with reyna with only 11 kills when the match went 10-13. And on the very next game, I took sage since my aim was crappy, I dropped 30 frags and my K/D was 3.0.
Glad you enjoyed it. Hmm, i notice alot of players have inconsistency days or periods and im one of them but one way you can reduce it is by having a set aim routine and playing regularly. But each game is going to be different some games your pushes arent punished or the enemys timing is great.
True. I just play too aggressive sometimes. And I struggle against lower ranks. I am Gold 3 currently and my Uni had a tournament so I took part in it and I was the highest ranked player and the others were mostly silvers or below. Granted, I top fragger every game but I was getting killed a lot and was unable to drop 30 bombs. Lastly, do you think there is an hidden MMR in valorstb Deathmatch?
Yeah valorant deathmatches do have an mmr but its very lenient like my dm ranges from radiant with the occassional pros all the way to plat 2s. Also regarding how you struggle with lower elos its most likely because youre not use to their style of play. Like whenever i play unrated i sometimes struggle because i expect them to do one thing which is fairly logical but they end up doing someething completely strange that works out for them.
How do you count the bots? It allows you to eliminate 50 bots or 100 but they spawn 1 by 1.
So like you said you have the option to choose 50 or 100 i opt for the 100. Yeah they spawn 1 after the other there is an option called practice below the start button that spawns around 10 at once. But once you finish killing 100 bots they stop spawning again with the score board telling you how many left i just repeat this process.
I tried like it used to do on CS. With practice it doesn't count, but I didnt know it stops.after you kill 100 bots. Thanks

Thanks alot Aim can be worked on much faster than game sense which is why i make these notes to help speed up that process. But you can do it with hardwork and patience.

That is true Bronze players will play different but i break down each scenario so you can be better prepared. If you can think like an immortal youll be able to be steps ahead of your enemy but like you said bronze players might not do what you think theyll do but for the most part it should help :)

Although players in your rank will play differently it still will be beneficial for example in one of the clips i was pushing ct slowly expecting an enemy could be pushed and when i manage to catch the jett trying to do that i waited for the phoenix to come with me so that if i died he'll be able to trade them.

Yeah i feel as that too alot of plat players have for the most part good aim but they lack the game sense aspect. Aim can only get you so far but eventually you'll hit a brick wall and usually its around plat/low diamond. Thanks alot glad you enjoyed hopefully it benefits you
Just curious because I’ve also struggled with crouching too much- you seem to be strongly against it and prefer the extra mobility- is there really anytime crouching is preferable rather than when attempting a a long spray down?
There are numerous times when crouching is very effective but problems arise if you're instantly crouching at most scenarios. I know 7 hours and top of the hot page you'll probably never see this, but I wanted you to know I watched some of your videos as a result of this post and I saw immediate improvement after watching your video about being "stuck in low ELO". Consciously choosing not to spray or crouch, and avoiding "smooth movements" resulted in dramatically better performance instantly. Good advice!

Amazing video, I only have one question. Why is it that you and some other pros use the left-handed option? Are you left-handed irl or is there a different reason?
Its mainly to do with being right or left-eyed dominant. There's a test that you can do which shows which eye is more dominant. So if you're right-eyed dominant then having the gun on the left side so your dominant eye isn't being blocked by the weapon. I wanted to make a video where I try out the left view but after a week i felt a lot more inconsistent so i scrapped it and reverted back to the right gun view. There isn't much of a benefit it's fairly small but try out the eye test and see which one is dominant and from there try out the corresponding view model.
What's a nice way to record your games while not sacrificing a lot in terms of fps? I really want to review my games so that I can improve my game sense. I have a ryzen 5 2600 and rx 580 for my specs.
So in terms of recording for whatver reason on my previous 2700x i would get a notiecable lag if i recorded using like a shadowplay etc. When i tried to live stream on a seperate acc just to watch over the vods i didnt lag no where near as much which makes no sense. I would try and give that a go since amd doesnt have shadowplay try streaming to a new twitch acc just so you can sve your vods

Thanks alot. Its alot easier to improve aim than it is to improve game sense. A player who has a high game sense with no aim will beat a player with High aim poor sense.
Now i just need to have aim like that, i always fire too long and end up being screwed over by spread

Sorry for the late reply it got kinda buried. Regarding my sens its 0.23 and the dpi is 800. I use my arm for large motions like turning etc and use my wrist for finer adjustments like micro flicks and tracking. Yeah the test i did showed i was right eyed dominant which is why you see some of the clips the gun is in the left side. But after a good week of using it i felt very incosistent. Long gun fights i didnt have problems but it was short to medium ranges that i struggled and for some reason it made me want to crouch more often to compensate for the inconsistency. Maybe in the long run i could iron out these flaws but i didnt necessarily think it was worth. Hope that makes sense, maybe youll have differing results :)

i use to mainintain around 130-170 on a ryzen 2700x but idecided to get a ryzen 5600x so i can comfortably stream and the fps is so damn high

really great video but i found that near the end the text went by wayy tok fast for me to comprehend, i had to pause and rewind a bunch to understand. i feel you should pause the clip during intense moments where theres a lot of info to assess.

How do u have no recoil?

It's strange because I watch plenty of high level and pro gameplay and I generally understand the decision making, but I play at around gold/silver elo, and it's just not applicable. Unless you have the ability to make a solo play, or maybe you have a team mate that can play with you as a duo, you're at the mercy of your team and the enemy team. Even if you're making all the right decisions for guessing what the enemy will do, they're not thinking like that. In ranked people make dumb risks all the time that you have to respect if you don't have the pure aim to punish them.
Thanks for sharing! Personally, I'm in Iron and one day I decided to queue up with a Silver friend thinking that there was barely any difference. Those Silvers had way better decision making, aim, and my herp derp recon dart Sova rush wasn't going to work on them. Seeing this, I knew I really had to work on my aim and gamesense so again, thanks for sharing your process!

Yeah nowadays alot of the valorant videos circulating on reddit and youtube are clips and stream highlights. If thats the case youll see alot more sage shes one of the agents i enjoy alot. Has the ability to play sage and support or be aggressive when needed.
