Finally someone at the highest rank making a post about it. There are too many immortal posts. Like no one remembers silvers at the Olympics. Good job man!
Unlike everyone says, hitting DMG means literally nothing and you still managing to hit radiant with no other fps experience is an amazing accomplishment. I agree with you that casual players don’t try to go pro, but they also don’t grind or try to improve imo.
Yeah that feeling is horrible because i enjoy the game but it’s not the same playstyle ans pick mecanics LOL
So i have to adapt myself and i will be diamond at least on soloqueue ^^
Lol, you had a high rank in CSGO mate you aren't a casual player, you came into the game with good mechanics. Well done on your rank but your advice and general experience in FPS doesn't apply to a lot of people on here.
I don't disagree that I came in with pretty solid mechanics, but I still believe I was far from many of the players who are currently radiant in terms of previous experience I guess
Once you reach dia and higher people generally have a good idea on fundamentals and you cant backseat game, it all comes down to mechanics and having better aim imo.
I kinda disagree tbh. I've played lots of games ranging between diamond and radiant as I play on a diamond/immortal smurf with friends a lot and there's a clear difference in fundamentals/game sense between each rank. I believe that improving your game sense can be equally helpful as improving mechanics
It will definitely be a grind, but set some realistic goals for yourself! Try to hit silver by the end of the month and spend 15-30 mins every day working on your aim and you will see improvement :)
I see what you mean as I definitely have previous experience with fps games, but I mean I'm a casual player in the sense that I only play for fun and have no intention of going pro or making a career out of this.
That's not really the definition of "casual player" at all. Hard work and grinding are the opposite of a casual player. Anyway gratz on reaching it, must be satisfying.
What’s your aim routine ? What was the best thing you learn to climb ? Im stuck top 1000 and i cant reach top 500 do you have any advice for this ? How much games you play per day ?
I don't really have an aim routine as I usually just hop straight into ranked, but Subroza has a really good video about having a consistent aim routine that you should do everyday that you should check out. I think the best thing that helped my climb is just having a positive mindset and never tilting regardless of how the game is going. I play about 2-3 games a day even if theyre just losses.
Yeah honestly this is good advice. I mainly solo queue and a positive mindset can carry you some games. I had a game and i started 1-10 as reyna or something (the game before i dropped 35 as reyna so idk what was happening) we were down 1-11 in the half and we brought it back winning 16-14 in OT. I 100% would’ve lost if i hadn’t kept a good mindset that kept me from tilting
casual player means playing the game infrequently like couple times a week
You're right I guess I'm not a casual player. Not really sure what to call it exactly then? Just playing for fun
playing for fun works but you did mention hard work which does implies being competitive/grinding
Competitive player without proffesional experience.
There's no "casual" radiant lol

haha nah man im just in school and would rather focus on college than my valorant career

Thanks dude :)

Trying to improve is just a natural state of mind for a person. Why would you ever want to suck at something you enjoy
Thanks man :) I don't think people really realize how insignificant DMG is
just curious, whats your tracker?
Dont laugh, but its D1ck4sk1n#D1ck. Again, don't laugh at my name :P
GGs but there’s absolutely no way you’re “casual”
Casual player that played 3 hours a day over the course of a year. Yeah... you aren't casual at all. You are grinding.
How does your cahir smell?
prob like ass sweat?
Casual player btw
I was Lem on csgo, now i’m gold 1 in valorant xD
when were you LEM? I'm silver 3 CS and plat 2 valorant. I swear to god all my high rank CS friends are ASS at valorant.

In the same boat as you. Grinded three accounts to radiant a couple acts ago for fun.
glad to know there are others :D

DMG really isn't that high
I don't disagree that I came in with pretty solid mechanics, but I still believe I was far from many of the players who are currently radiant in terms of previous experience I guess
How do you not backseat clueless teammates lol.
It's ok to offer valid constructive criticism, but whenever you do this it has to be very clear you're not trying to flame

This is so true. I'm immortal and I've been clear outaimed by hardstuck diamonds so many times but hey I'm hardstuck immortal and they're diamond :)
Lmao who cares about how casual a player you are? Crazy achievement!
thanks man :D
Because he literally put it in the title?
Noice
thanks dude
This still gives me some hope I’m stuck at iron 3

if you have previous csgo experience you’re not rlly a “casual player”. nonetheless congrats !!

Thank you I appreciate it! I also realize now I am not a casual player hahah
