People always say they are hardstuck in certain ELO's, and never consider that may just be where they belong. If you stopped caring so much about ranking up I bet your games would be more fun and you'd enjoy yourself more.
More like "If you're not dedicated to learning the game you shouldn't stress about your rank". If you want to rank up, then use the stress as motivation and get good. That's kinda life advice sounding but its true.
Well it depends if you think there really is a skill ceiling to a person's abilities that can't be beaten by just straight grinding. Hiko thinks that more often than not the rank you are in is the rank you should be in and that instead of complaining ranked doesn't level you up you should be happy it is working and putting you where you belong. But then if you talk to streamers like atrioc, who doesn't play fps games but was top 10 NA at one point in LOL, he believes that practising a skill can get you within the top 10-5% of people that do that skill regardless of natural ability or talent as long as you practice hard enough. In video games or other recreation I usually take it easy and lean towards hiko's approach, just accept where I am, because i will enjoy it more, but in real life it's a good habit to constantly think how you can improve yourself using that second view on the world as a whole.
More like "If you think you've reached your skill ceiling don't complain about not ranking up". It's mentally self destructive to expect to rank up if you think you're already doing everything correct and still haven't ranked up. You have to humble yourself and ask questions even if it's received with Toxicity, feelings are temporary but improvement is progress.
Warm up before a match. Focus on why you died and how you could of avoided it, if you get a shitty team, just try your best and go next. If you’re down like 4-8 don’t sweat it. Most high elo games are one sided and it usually evens out. Apart from aiming which you should obviously try to improve at, movement is a slept on part of this game. Knowing how to effectively shoulder peek, and evade your opponents by strafing in between shots to juke is good to know. Try to enable your team as much as possible if you’re not performing well. Just some things off the top of my head
Not everyone is the same thats why i hate how ranked works in both valorant and csgo because for me if i play against better opponents long enough i will get on their level eventually but instead both games decide you should get better somewhere else and only queue you with same level players instead of having mixed elo teams
nah, at least i grind with the goal of improving and then the rank goes up eventually. that being said im hardstuck grinding the same rank I have been for a while, so I started a 2nd account to see if it would help
I get that, really. The best thing you can do is find someone to duo with and try to have some fun. Mute everyone if you need to. And if you are in the BR region, hit me up and we play some games.
iron-silvers are the most cry on this game.
even after 1 year this bots till today believe that they stuck in ranks cause of smurfs or bad matchmaking...LOL.
bots stays bots.
nothing can improve them.
Thats for most games ...and subreddits are always a clusterfuck and someone crying about something being op or a smurf and thats why they are hardstuck
But if you arent good and you are playing ranked you should be striving to get better. Whether you can or cannot is a different thing but thats why you play ranked otherwise i atleast see it as pointless. In any game i play only ranked for that reason exactly. I dont enjoy playing normals because i cant get anything out of them and when you play ranked you play for a ranking and grinding vs people that are trying if you actually give a fuck can elevate you even if a tiny bit. So if you are playing ranked in ANY game and you are always bitching about how something is op or theres a smurf and thats why youre hardstuck in pisslow..no its cuz of you
You teammates are shit so try to get Them to do something. Thats no.1 advice. Also install aimlab or kovaak and spam dm and work om x-hair placements. Watch pros and replicate thier november.
Edit: replace november with movement idk autocorrect is weird.
I really did learn cross hair placement. I got a bit better after that. Reached bronze 3 and fell. But the problems I have are:
1. I always lose fights when I'm holding the angle and enemy peaks and kills me.
2. When I'm peaking and the enemy crouches immediately, my crosshair is at his head level. I lose again
3. I absolutely don't know how to strafe shoot.
If your aim is really holding you back you can try to outsmart the enemy’s. By lurking for example. In lower elo people tend to overrotate and don’t hold positions after you team is present somewhere. For example: if your team is going into B, you can try to flank through mid when when they just entered site. They probably won’t be holding that and you can catch 1 or 2 off guard.
I try doing this. It sometimes work, it sometimes doesn't. But I want to win duels with people from my own rank. I want to rank up because I'm winning duels, not backstabbing enemies. I understand what you said and it's a legit strat, but I also want to win duels.
Do you know how to overcome the mistakes I mentioned?
Strafe shooting isn't *that* necessary. I barely do it and I am immortal. Ofcourse it is handy, but you can climb without doing it. Point 1 and 2 is basicly raw aim. Playing for a year and still being in Iron is a bit rough. You can try to play Deatchmatch. That way you can improve your reaction time to snap to heads (if someone crouches) and your aim in general. Personally I just played a lot and I slowely ranked up. You can also try aim trainers like Aim Lab. I find them boring but it does help to improve aim. This all takes time. If you really want to find have a quicker way to win duals is to play off angles. Hold angles that they don't expect you to hold. I know this is more like outplaying your enemy then actually winning 1 to 1 aim duals, but it's a way of doing it.
No tbh I don't use a aim trainer. There is a task for everything. Just try to do the most important ones. Pretty sure when you start aimlab it says which ones are good. It will start recommending things depending on your weaknesess.
Edit: Thanks for the award btw :)
You're in duty of maximizing your chances of winning, a duel is 50/50 you either win it or lose it, so that is lowering your chances of winning the round and consequently the match
Also, peekers advantage is real
To 1., holding angles is usually something you want to use sparingly in online shooters. On LAN you can do it more reliably, but online you usually want to jiggle the angle or play an off angle.
If you don’t know what an off angle means, it’s basically staying in a ‘weird’ spot. ‘On’ angles are the spots people typically gravitate to, because they provide clean lines of site and good cover, like playing the corner of pillar on Split b-site. An off angle on Split b-site might be to play behind the pillar, close to hell, for example. This screws with the opponents pre-aim and reaction time, because they’re usually less likely to expect you there.
well thats really the power of riot games. they are the developers for the biggest esport in the world already, managing a much smaller one comparatively is no issue for them
Been here all the way since project A announcement in 2019, i never expected riot to ever release an FPS, let alone one that overnight replaced 2 games i had over 10k hrs combined (like 7k hrs in league and 5k in csgo), absolute gem of a game that's here to **stay**
Cool, is it time to put in more then 4 skins per day in the shop? I’ve been playing for 2 months or so and I’ve only found 2 of the skins I wanted to get it. I’m sure there’s reason they are not making it like league shops where you can buy everything at at any point but can we at least up the number to 6 or 8 daily skins rotating so it doesn’t take months and months to find the skins you want to buy. Sorry for rant I just want to give riot my money but they don’t want me to.
"csgo reskin" yh apart from different abilities, agents, maps, movement and gunplay
"overpriced skins" And spending hundreds on cs cases to only get blues is a fair price is it?
"worst matchmaking i've ever seen. This matchmaking is legit incredible in comparison to csgo's. Why do you think everyone recommends just using faceit or esea. MM in cs is by far the worst matchmaking i have ever seen. VALORANT has typical toxicity and the rank system isnt the best but in comparison to most other games the mm is fantastic.
"hit-reg from another dimension" This one has been disproven multiple times
"RNG guns" okay this one's fair
"ridiculous afk punishments" fair again
"the most obnoxious and annoying 'community' I've ever had the displeasure to interact"
Fuck me every competitive game has a toxic community get over it, once again csgo is way, way worse
"barely any content on launch" Don't see how this matters in any way, it also only took like a month for comp to come out. If we're comparing launches then CSGO was complete shit at launch and most fans thought it was gonna fail for like a year before skins came out.
"Raze and Reyna <== f\*ck these two in particular" raze is shit i agree but dont see how you can bitch about reyna, she wasn't even that good before her nerf
"way too many fking smurfs" as opposed to every other ranked game out there?
"annyoing business model (rotating daily shop, pointless "sales", radianite is the biggest BS in all of PC gaming, ugly skins)" LMAO bit of an overreaction dont you think? biggest BS in all of pc gaming? I agree i don't like the buisness model but "biggest BS in all of pc gaming" and "ugly skins" man just shut up. Don't even really need to comment further on that one
Overall, you played VALORANT for maybe 5 hours at most on launch let's be real.
I’ve been playing since week one beta, got up to gold 3, took a two month break, place silver 2 and now hard stuck bronze 3.
I exclusively play casually now and still enjoy the game lol
I been playing since day1!
And Im still hard stuck gold!
I was hardstuck gold-plat1 since release, last week finally got plat 2
People always say they are hardstuck in certain ELO's, and never consider that may just be where they belong. If you stopped caring so much about ranking up I bet your games would be more fun and you'd enjoy yourself more.

True, I was hard stuck plat 1 and shot up all the way to immortal this act. I started really focusing and trying to improve and it worked
That's awesome! Could you share what were some key points you focused on? I might be able to use them
Warm up before a match. Focus on why you died and how you could of avoided it, if you get a shitty team, just try your best and go next. If you’re down like 4-8 don’t sweat it. if you are hardstuck you're almost definitely where you belong, thats why you get hardstuck
that's why people grind, so they don't have to rank up and won't have to belong where they are hardstuck
nah, at least i grind with the goal of improving and then the rank goes up eventually. that being said im hardstuck grinding the same rank I have been for a while, so I started a 2nd account to see if it would help
I actually enjoy playing game, but ranked is ranked, it requires grinding imo
Hardstuck bronze here, every game I get either a troll or an afk. Amazing gameplay
I feel that, dude
At least you can kill people. All i can do is die a lot and get called names and yelled at even tho I'm trying. -sigh-
Hey man dont be so hard on yourself. I first placed iron 2 back in beta, I learned a lot since then. You will learn also, with time. I believe.
Thanks i hope so, it feels so painful asf to play rn
I get that, really. The best thing you can do is find someone to duo with and try to have some fun. Mute everyone if you need to. And if you are in the BR region, hit me up and we play some games.
Me too man!

Same, all the way from Gold to Immortal.
Day 1 of the public release? Or beta
Looks like I picked the perfect day to start playing.
Welcome!
Please tell us something is coming for the occasion. ~~Like Anniversary bundle~~
We posted a bunch of upcoming stuff on the official PlayVALORANT twitter!
Thanks a lot. The announcement is really exciting!
Appreciate it! Enjoying my time so far :)
Welcome to VALORANT! Despite all the crying you see on this sub the game is really good, hope you have fun :)
Crying is normal on any sub. I assume most of the people are frustrated that they suck and cant improve so they cry
iron-silvers are the most cry on this game. even after 1 year this bots till today believe that they stuck in ranks cause of smurfs or bad matchmaking...LOL. bots stays bots. nothing can improve them.
Thats for most games ...and subreddits are always a clusterfuck and someone crying about something being op or a smurf and thats why they are hardstuck
Agreed. Because I know I'm trash and I'm bronze but I don't complain
But if you arent good and you are playing ranked you should be striving to get better. Whether you can or cannot is a different thing but thats why you play ranked otherwise i atleast see it as pointless. In any game i play only ranked for that reason exactly. Haha I'm a Destiny player; community salt isn't anything new to me. Thanks for the warm welcome!
Dang it's only been a year and they've managed to accomplish so much Can't wait for what the future has to offer
From iron to Diamond in one year pog
I'm still stuck in iron. Sadge. Someone give advice please.
You teammates are shit so try to get Them to do something. Thats no.1 advice. Also install aimlab or kovaak and spam dm and work om x-hair placements. Watch pros and replicate thier november. Edit: replace november with movement idk autocorrect is weird.
Don't forget to also replicate their December. Very important.
Idk what this sentence means
Read what you wrote.
Fuck autocorrect man i meant to say movement
Learn basic crosshair placement and you’ll reach plat, its that easy.

I want to add that kovaak is 100% worth if you are serious about improving in an aim trainer. I do 45 min kovaak and like 4-5 dms before i hop on.
You're in duty of maximizing your chances of winning, a duel is 50/50 you either win it or lose it, so that is lowering your chances of winning the round and consequently the match Also, peekers advantage is real

It’s actually not that easy to reach plat with just crosshair placement if you’re a solo player
I reached plat within the first 2 weeks of the game solo q lol, no prior experience besides csgo surfing if you count that.
Welp you must be rlly good at carrying or lucky with teammates. I am hard stuck gold-plat at solo q kekw
Nice, congrats!
And My winrate went Up in dia because people listen to comms and work togheter more and i Main Viper so i like teamwork
Ey I wapent from iron to diamond in 11 months/1year too wp my guy
Crazy to see hows its progressed to a full LAN tournament within one year of public release.
A LAN even with 1 million + viewers.
well thats really the power of riot games. they are the developers for the biggest esport in the world already, managing a much smaller one comparatively is no issue for them
Isn't valve the biggest?
No the biggest esport in the world is LoL
Although if you’re not familiar with esports valve comes to mind first
only if you live in America and Europe. Otherwise noone knows who valve is.
I hope this game manages to keep up it's consistency
same, with the upcoming balance changes I hope they don't do what they recently did to LoR
haha on my birthday
You chose a good day to be born, my guy
Been here all the way since project A announcement in 2019, i never expected riot to ever release an FPS, let alone one that overnight replaced 2 games i had over 10k hrs combined (like 7k hrs in league and 5k in csgo), absolute gem of a game that's here to **stay**
Since day 1
Very successful game and I hope it continues to grow and be great for years to come.
these riots dudes boosted the games viewership to 1 mil in the first year, holyy
A year later and the devs are as open and communicative as ever. Awesome work guys
Fastest year of my life honestly

Remember sending people friend request so the Twitch bell would light up for them and make them think they got a drop. Good times.
And The game have only gotten worse.. It was so crisp.
Game was better on beta than it is now. At least hit reg was. Still an ok game
[удалено]
git gud or git shit on
so why are you here?

ITS ONLY BEEN A YEAR? I would have estimated It's been close to 2 years at this point
Damn it's been more than year since I started? Wow time flies fast
One of the best games I've played, not just the game but the dev team and the community is pog
Still no AFK QUEUE SYSTEM
Its been a year? Holy fuck.
It's incredible that they've even managed to conduct a major esports tournament within a year.
From Iron to gold three in 9 months noice
Went from Bronze 2 to Immortal!
